Setting

The world is Eberron, a world based around the cycle of ages and cataclysms caused by ancient threats. In the current age, humanity rules the continent of Khorvaire, but that rule is far from complete. It was once united as the Kingdom of Galifar, but a horrible war of succession left that kingdom shattered into more than a dozen pieces. Some of these land are remnants of the Five Nations that composed Galifar. Other nations provided independence for Dwarves, Gnomes, Halflings, Elves, Goblins, and Monstrous Races. Only two years have elapsed since the end of the Last War. It is still fresh in everyone's memory and many still harbor the old resentments from the War.

This story takes place in Breland, one of the Five Nations. It is a constitutional monarchy ruled by a direct descendent of King Galifar I. While each of the five nations focused their magicks in a different direction, Breland's practical approach of magical industry has disputedly helped the population thrive and enjoy its benefits more than anywhere else. Some of the metropoli may stretch so tall the towers threaten to scrape the sky. Others are designed so that entire cities could move to where they are needed.

Setting

Founded in 881 by Araximos ir’Wynarn, the Araximos League is one of the oldest independent guild  of adventurers located in Breland. Araximos was first cousin to Wroann, when his family was displaced by the previous royal secession, he turned to exploration of the western coast of Galifar, those regions that remained outside of the bounds of civilization. For nearly a dozen years, hundreds of adventurers heeded the call of Hope, Sacrifice, and Unity and worked to discover the unknown and make the savage corners of the continent better.

When the war broke out in 894, the hundreds that claimed membership in the League returned home, helping their nations survive in a world turned mad. Fewer than a dozen remained a part of the League. Those that remained were unable to continue their exploration and merely served to chronicle the previous exploits, to upkeep league assets, and to ensure Araximos’s comfort in his waning days. After Araximos’s death in 932 to only a handful of members working to keep the legacy alive. Over the next sixty years, few outside the member’s families knew of the League’s legacy. The Cassan Bridge headquarters remained closed doors that no one seemed to enter. Had the war lasted another generation, attrition would have had the League fade from every memory. But the war did end and the Araximos League has been reborn, under the guidance of Winston Skytouched.
