One of the primary themes of the campaign is ordinary people becoming extraordinary, so keep that in mind while building characters. The player characters will have been following their army unit for a few weeks after the fall of Grakis' capital of Angrath.

If interested, submit your character concept with the following:

• Name
• Description
• Age (18+)
• Main profession or trade
• Brief background

Please avoid the following in your concept:

• Obvious nonhumans
• Magic users (players will get a chance to discover this in-game)
• Characters with no obvious worth to an army in the field (it's hard to be entirely worthless, don't overthink this)
• Soldiers (again, players will get a chance to go down this road, the story's about the journey to get there)

Other notes:

• Despite the opening scenario and perhaps demanding character requirements, the style of play is rather open-world. The story is about, and will follow, the players.
• Players should respect the simple rule of avoiding being jerks to each other and me out of character.
• I do have other hobbies and a busy work schedule. I am most often around during the evening in my timezone (UTC -5) and I might not be around every day.
• Don't be intimidated by the amount of information on the world. It's a lot to take in, and you don't need to know all of it to play.
