@tk Having a sibling sounds like a great idea! I think I'll start as a Paladin 2/Barbarian 2, and I'd like to be a Half-Orc but I can be flexible on race if there's something you had in mind. If we were different races, though, you could be a human or an orc - making for some fun questions to be answered - or blood siblings/orphans. The Paladin's fighting style will allow me to take Blind Fighting, and I'll consider getting Alert once my ability scores are sorted.

@A Dungeon Master What art style do you prefer for PC portraits? Photorealistic? Realistic drawings? Just art that isn't cringe?

i ran a game once where all the avatars were photos and then one dude had an anime char and for some reason i just couldn’t treat him like an adult. lol.

I think my connection to the party will be that I just kind of showed up one day. I tend to get the party into enough trouble that they'd probably kill me themselves if I weren't as equally adept at getting them out of trouble. I keep insisting the Bard refer to me as "The Magnificent Blacktalon, the Greatest Thief who ever lived!" but somehow she keeps forgetting that part in her rewrites. I guess I'll just have to keep being this awesome and spreading the word myself.

Also, never played or built a 5e character beyond first level. So magic items don't have prices anymore? I found a table that gives starting wealth beyond 1st level, does the DM assign magic items now?

And FYI, I'm going to be using dark green as my speech color. :)

@deadlock Yes, more bastard children for this dysfunctional family of half-breeds! I love it! From what I understand so far, that would make for a half-orc, half-elf, and human combo of half-siblings, with some rando who just appeared one day and never left.

@tom So far as I'm aware, there are no official rules for starting wealth or gear past 1st level, so people usually just eyeball it and agree on something together.

For colors I think I'll use DarkBlue.

Yes I will take healing magic and yes when we hit 6th level I can add more with Secret Knowledge but a Cleric might be good. Even if a Multi-class one.

Finally started working on Daephine.
Two questions for DM:
- Normal or Revised ranger (I just saw that existed)
- For background I am looking at either City Watcher, or Inheritor. Any preferences on how strongly you want our family to tie into the game? If more, then let's start thinking about the inheritance. If not Watcher is fine (maybe she caught our greatest thief at some point and that's why he joined the party?)

Alright, I'm pretty much done with my character sheet. Do you guys think I should name him Pythagor, Tyranny (prefers Tyr), Yutha, or something else?

Revised. Either is fine, I would make your inheritance something that's more mid-game, rather than making it the hook that gets you into the adventure.

The Rhythm-Maker's Drum from Tasha's seems like it would be the most relevant to your class. Honorable mentions include the Pearl of Power, Broom of Flying, and Goggles of Night.

If you're looking for something more utilitarian, there is also the Wand of Secrets.

Sorry for the hold up. As the Rogue I have opted for the Bag of Holding and the Cloak of Elvenkind as my magical items. I'll update my sheet and they I should be good to go. :)

Magic items Mister Pointy and Magic Studded Leather Armor a drum doesn't fit her. I'm taking a yarting, castanets and pan pipes.
