This game will be basically set in the MCU. However, I have not seen *every* MCU show or even all the episodes of shows that I have watched. So, in order to clear up any inconsistencies between the game and the actual MCU, we will say that this is in an alternate timeline that is "Very Close" to the official MCU.

I have, of course, seen all the movies.. but this game is specifically set in a time that the movies sort of skip over. As I understand it some of the shows, such as Agents of SHEILD, do touch on events during this time, but as mentioned before I haven't seen them, really. As I see it, this gives us a lot more creative license, as we have a pretty good framework for what's happened and is happening in the world, but we don't have a lot of strict "Canon" information that we should feel obliged to follow.
