I'm
just old enough to remember the 70s in the UK: three TV channels on a black-and-white TV that would break down two or three times a year; TV was mostly only broadcast from noon to midnight (except for the Open University on BBC2); no VCRs; telephones with dials; avocado bathroom suites; lots of orange and brown; petrol (all leaded - no such thing as unleaded petrol) came in grades from 2-star to 5-star (not all petrol stations offered 5-star); cars had vinyl seats that stank.
