Character ideas first of course.

Okay, so let's talk character, shall we? I was planning on presenting a decent list of options, but I've got a character in another game that's circling the drain, and I'd like to just go with that one. It's a character I've very comfortable with, have played quite a bit, and know how to build, which gets a lot of our problems dealt with right out the gate.

So let's talk about Bishop. Looks like, talks like, and acts like a corp. In another life, might've been one. But in this life, he's a face, with ties to the Mafia. Cool, unflappable, and unerringly professional, he's the corporate Johnson's shadowrunner wet dream. He's also a high-functioning sociopath, but you can't win them all. He's got expensive tastes, but he's not unfamiliar with dirt and nutrisoy, either. Comes from a criminal family, shadowrunners and otherwise, but has struck out on his own for one reason or another, and is probably pretty far from home, depending on where you want to start.

I was thinking starting in Washington, between Xmas and New Year 2074. The dragon war is about over,so it seems, and in Washington, everyone in the top of society is talking about an upcoming exhibition in a new (and ugly) museum, which includes an item someone wants really badly, so Bishop will need to find a team for a simple heist.

With ties to the mafia, he's more likely than not been pointed towards the job as a courtesy towards the Johnson, who does not want someone local to the scene. So Bishop can be from anywhere.

Radio silence was me getting carried away doing preliminary shopping. Anyway, everything you've said seems fine with me. How do you want to do creation?

You could just carry the existing char's stats over.

That would be remarkably difficult, seeing as it's a Cyberpunk game. :P

Bishop sounds like he has had some experience so I'd say in addition to the 25 starting karma you add another 10 and see how closely you can make him.

Karma gen it is, then! I'll set to tinkering soon.

So, the 10 extra karma puts us in line with the "Prime Runner" alternate start. Do you want to use the rest of that priority set, or just the extra karma?
