Yuri prepared for his upcoming fight in the mixed martial art tournament he had signed up for. For Yuri it would be his third fight in the tournament, which had begun with 32 male fighters. Now only 8 fighters remained all vying for a spot in the semi-finals.

OOC: You can come up with any intro song, how your introduced to the crowd and the name of your opponent. For this opponent I will be using the ‘Hooligan’ for stats. I figure to make things easy to just have you make a fighting test, and I will do so for your opponent. From there we will know who wins, and you can describe your win/loss. Yes, you may use fortune (I will not be using it for your opponent), and stunts points can be used to carry out spectacular moves. Fortune will not regenerate after fights.

Yuri plays up on his resemblance to Ivan Drago from Rocky IV ..

His opponent is of Pacific Islander descent ..

The two fighters face off in the fenced in octagon shaped ring that is fenced off from the rowdy crowd. A large holographic display lists the respective fighter's height and weight.

When the bell rings signaling the beginning of the fight both Yuri and his opponent, Maui rush in towards each other. After trading punches and kicks, some of which are parried/blocked and other connect, the dark skinned fighter of Pacific Islander descent gain the upper hand and manages to get inside Yuri's reach, ducking away from a punch before pickign Yuri up and violently body slamming the Russian.

The two fighters roll around on the ground for a few seconds before the Russian fully recovers from the body slam.

Yuri shakes his head as he recovers from the effect of the body slam..

Bobbing and weaving in a zip zag dance, he quickly shoots forward, going low for a leg takedown.

The big islander goes down hard on his back as Yuri spins around and twists .. getting him in painful submission leg lock!

Maui, in intense pain .. sees no way out without his leg breaking .. taps out.

Yuri rolls off his opponent. Stands high and raises his fist in the air!

Yuri receives both cheers and boos from the crowd after submitting his Belter opponent.

A commentator comes up to Yuri "Tu took no chances wit ta Mauler did tu?"

In the other corner, Maui the Mauler is recovering and upon gaining eye contact with Ivan, The Russian Dragon delvers a respectable nod.

Yuri gives a small bow of respect to his opponent.

Then marches around the ring .. pumping his fist in the air. Enjoying the boos as well as the cheers.

As someone going into the semi finals Yuri is given a complementary room at shabby (but not filthy) hotel so he can rest and relax in preparation for the semi-final bout the next day.

During the semi-final bout Yuri faces off against a Belter know as the 'Jumping Monkey'. A slender, tall wiry man who flips and jumps around the ring in an attempt to confuse his opponents before jumping in with a flying knee or a fist. This of course does work very well against 'Ivan, The Russian Dragon'. As the Jumping Monkey tries to connect with a flying knee Yuri side steps, and as his opponent is recovering plummets him with a flurry of punches that ends with an uppercut that leave the Jumping Monkey lying on the ground twitching.

At first it looks like Yuri's blow is fatal or at least caused significant harm, but after regaining conscious he opponent is helped out of the ring.

A few hours later while waiting in the locker room to be announced for the final bout against a Belter knowns as 'Delan the Destroyer' the entirity of Eros station shakes as some sort of large explosion occurs somewhere on Eros Station. Yuri doesn't feel any signs of the pressure dropping, so at least where he is at there is not danger of vacuum exposure or loss of air.

But the announcement broadcast over a nearby PA speaker in a female voice, and in several languages, does indicate there is a problem.

"Shit!" Yuri says as he heads to his locker .. he quickly changes into his clothes and armor. Then grabs his gun and bag of miscellaneous personal items and heads towards the shelter area.

As Yuri changes and gathers his things he realizes that the final bout of the MMA tournament is going to be delayed until the radiation emergency is resolved.

Yuri follows a crowd of people to the nearest hard shelter, and eventfully ends up in a line which has a significant wait time. After awhile he can see some sort of activity ahead of him in line.

A six man team from CPM Security Corporation (i.e. Eros Station Security/Police) are manning some sort of pre-entry checkpoint and are making everyone toss any bags into a big pile. They are also frisking everybody and conversating any weapons which are going into a large bin.

OOC: If you want to get more insight please make a perception roll. If you have another ability you think might be of some help you can roll that as well.

Yuri tries to look ahead to see what is going on.

14:48, Today: Yuri Ivanovich rolled 10 using 3d6+1 with the AGE System with rolls of {2}, 4, 3.  perception roll.

He is not too keen on giving up his meager possessions to anyone for any reason.

So he start looking around to see if he can fall out of line, and find a way to avoid the check point.

Ahead, just beyond the checkpoint, Yuri can see people getting injected with something in the neck prior to entering the hard shelter. Looking behind him, the Earther sees that there are no members of CPM Security Corporation and thus easily steps out of line and begins to go in the other direction away from the hard shelter.

Behind him the sounds of gun fire and screaming begin. The gunfire and screaming sound like it is getting closer, as if the shooters are chasing people.

As he rushes down a corridor to get away from what ever started the gun fight, a door opens up and a young woman exits. She is wearing a ships jump suit indicating she is a crew member of a ship docked at Eros Station.

OOC: Just dropping a hint here that the ‘woman’ is one of the other players. You ‘may’ have recognized her from your time in the UNN.

Yuri speaks to the woman: "whoa! don't go that way! .. checkpoints .. confiscations .. shooting dying .. not good! Can we hide anywhere in that room?"

The woman was apparently leaving the room as Yuri started to speak but somehow she doesn’t hear or see him due to a large crowd of people moving through the corridor that pushes him backwards several meters.

Getting past the large crowd, Yuri doesn’t see the woman anymore but know going back the way he came is not the best place to go.

Heading back down the corridor away from the gunfire Yuri gets to a larger area and spots the woman again. The woman is wearing a jumpsuit which indicates she is the crewmen of some sort of vessel.

Yuri loses track of the woman a few more times due to crowds and so forth and finally sees he in front of the Pur’n Kleen Water Company office. In addition to the woman there are 8 more people of various genders and origins wear the same style of jump suit as the woman. These crewmen then break into their own company office apparently in search of emergency supplies.
