Shasa grunted as Asha helped her to stand up straight. "Sabaka." The belter wrapped her left arm around the other woman's shoulder, which helped to support part of Shasa's weight. The lack of gravity helped, of course, but even bearing a little weight was painful.

"Good shooting, doc. How long is that dzehmang out for?" She could put a bullet in his head quite easily now that he wasn't moving about. "And let's take a look at that gun he had - I couldn't use the other one as it must be keyed to either the person or the armor. But maybe this one is different. Speaking of armor, I may need to borrow a new suit from either of the dead. This one is wasted."

She looked down toward the lower decks. "We still maybe have one or more in engineering to deal with. Asha, Kattalin, you may be doing most of the heavy lifting in engineering. Unless the doc has a miracle cure for me."

The belter finally had time to report in. ++CIC is secured. We are moving to engineering next. Any reinforcements would be helpful. What is the status of the other three that were trying to enter?++

As there is discussion of moving down to engineering and a status update a shot rings out from the ladder well from below shooting at someone who is on the upper decks.

Kattalin finds that the PDW lying by the man’s side and the holstered pistol are keyed to his armor. The armor itself is vacuum rated, and although she is sure she hit the wearer in the side (at least once), there is no sign of a bullet impact. Interfacing her hand terminal with the suits forearm terminal with a data cord (a wireless interface won’t work) she gets some more information about the suit’s features.

Abang moves over to the Belters, holstering his pistol as he moves.  "Okay, now strictly as your doctor, let's take a look at that ass..." he gives Shasa a saucy waggle of the eyebrows, but is pulling open the EMT duffel and doffing his vac gloves.

Either convinced by her brief inspection that the armored space suit is worth taking, or just hedging a bet by taking a backup she starts to strip the former occupant out of it, by hard wired command first, then by pulling off the pieces of suit should they release themselves.

Kattalin Zubiri rolled 18 using 3d6+9 (4 stunt points) with the AGE System with rolls of {4}, 1, 4.  Technology (electronic warfare) vs suit/computer.

At the sound of gunfire, Shasa tilted her head in the direction of the ladder. "Taki, Asha, but go help Alis. She need cover from you. Doc can handle my ass all by hisself, right doc?"

The wounded belter bent and put hands on her knees so that Asha could go help Alis with the continuing firefight. "You need me outta this suit?" She gritted her teeth at the pain offered by movement.

Asha looks towards the hatch leading downward, then over to Kattalin. After hearing Sato over the hand terminal network she moves to one of the crew station consoles. "Hey Kat we need to work on taking over the ship, not get dressed up in that guy's fancy armor."

"Can you cover the hatch and make sure no one shoots us?"

As she taps on the console the Belter exclaims. "I might have locked out the pilot controls from the people in engineering. Looks like they are trying to do the same. They haven't noticed me yet."

Kattalin finds that it will take her several minutes to strip the suit off the unconscious man, another several minutes to undress herself, and finally several more minutes to get the man’s vac suit on.

Dr. Abang Kaos begins his assessment of Sasha’s right buttock. The emergency vac suit she is wearing can be easily cut and removed. The basic flight/jump suit she is wearing does have an ‘ass’ flap for using the rest room, so getting to the wound to treat it will not be a problem.

There is not much Sasha can do other than suffer the indignity of having a compete stranger check out her backside.

Asha manages to isolate the vessels piloting controls from the ship's crew down in engineering.

The best you’re going to be able to do is stop the bleeding, and pump Sasha up with pain killers, and maybe some amphetamines. While she will still be technically ‘wounded’ in terms of movement, you will be able to negate one penalty point so she only has a -1 to tests.

Dropping the armor bits she has been fiddling with Kattalin returns to the consoles in CIC and begins setting up a containment bubble of sorts around the people in engineering, starting with where she knows they are now she reinforces the locks around the pilot control system Asha just kicked them out of. "If we know what they are trying to hack into we can hamper them, otherwise we should develop a priority list of systems needed."

Shasa grimaced at the doc's work, though between bouts of pain had a question. "You have access to cameras? Might be good to see what we up against." She took a sharp breath through gritted teeth, hoping that Kaos knew what he was doing.

Abang's work is relatively fast, apply some local anesthetic, as well as giving Shasa some meds (pain, antibiotic, and a stimmie so the pain meds don't dull her too much), then carefully cut open the spacesuit as minimally as needed, pack some gauze in her new hole (which hurts like hell regardless of meds), slap a patch on her ass, then find a patch for her suit.

After he gets her patched up, "That's going to hurt like hell when I take it out later to go after that bullet, buuuut for now you won't bleed to death, and the bullet isn't doing any further damage."

OOC:  Sorry, can't do nothin for your Fortune, they way this system works, you're actually better at "healing" that than a Doc is.

Seeing no one else doing so and not wanting to get shot in the back, Asha covers the hatch in case somebody from below deck pops their head up.

Shasa moved her leg around a little after the doc was done with patching things up. "Taki, doc." She grimaced as it still hurt. But it didn't hurt as bad as before, so that was good.

"Anyone take a look at the internal cameras?" Looking around and not seeing any nods, Shasa limped over toward a nearby console and tried to access video feeds of the lower levels that were still not under their control (i.e. Engineering).

With the ship moving under thruster power, everyone suddenly feels like they weigh a lot less than they used to when the ship was docked to Eros.

More gunfire erupts, as someone on the upper decks fires a SMG or rifle which is returned by two or maybe three individuals firing SMG or rifles upwards.

A body wearing the silverish/grey armor of the vessel crew falls from above in the microgravity created by the vessel being under thruster power and lands on the CIC deck having spun in such a way to get stuck and not pass past the ladder well hatch that goes further below decks.

Katalin locks out the piloting controls from engineering and only allows the piloting functions to be accessed from here in CIC or on Flight Deck.

As the Doctor does his work, Shasa taps on a nearby console to access the interior camera’s.

Still fiddling with the ship systems Kattalin answers the questions put forward by the others without doing much more than shift her input style on the system. "You keep working on the cameras, I will stop them from taking over the PDCs."

Having finished closing up Shasa, Abang moved to retrieve the weapon she'd tossed as a distraction.

With a body now lying over the hatch leading below decks there was now some sort of barrier. Albeit not a great one from anyone entering the CIC from below.  Asha still covers the hatch with her pistol.

Kattalin begins to work on taking over the PDC’s and realizes that it will take a bit longer than the piloting controls.

Keeping her head down and her focus on the screens Kattalin is clearly still hard at work doing something most would consider mindbogglingly complex, at speed.

Also, quick head-count:  We entered the ship with:  Alis, Kala, Sato, Asha, Dr. Kaos, Katalin, Dude with rifle, Guy with MMU, Kaeya, Ms Hirotsugu, Unconscious wounded guy, Woman with shot arm, and Helper guy.

Alis, Kala, Sato, went up; Asha, Dr. Kaos, Katalin, went down.  We left Ms Hirotsugu, Unconscious wounded guy, and Woman with shot arm strapped in or next to the airlock (probably "Helper guy" too IIRC).  I know one of "Dude with rifle"or "Guy with MMU" morphed into Shasa.  So my question:  Where did the other guy and Kaeya end up?

Kaeya, has made a few updates in the radio thread. In message 19 she reported that the "dude with rifle" is dead.

Guy/Gal with MMU did morph in Shasa as this non gender defined NPC was described as having white dreadlocks.

Shasa looked over at the engineer. "Ah, sésata, I cover the hatch. You get us cameras, yes?" Shasa pointed over to the console that should provide Asha access to the systems, then took up the post guarding the hatch.

Asha made her way to a console and began to work on the interior camera's. "Dis ain't goin good. Maybe we shoot camera's here so dey don't see?"

Dr. Koas moves to the dead man and after placing the PDW in his hand is rewarded with a small status light on the rear to light up.

You have discovered that the gun is keyed to the man’s armor, and not his biometrics. You can fire the gun using the dead man's hand with a penalty of -1 for shooting tests.
