I am going to start moving this along by having a crew meeting on the Crew Galley deck.
One item that is going to come up is that Babylon Station is a script only (i.e. cash) station. This is because it is an illegal smuggling port doing illegal things, and one sure way to be found out by the UNN and MCRN is to be conducting electronic banking transactions which are tracked.
So, I have two ways of dealing with the fact that the characters escaped Eros with only the clothes on their backs, and whatever physical cash they may have had in their pockets.
- Treat your income score as if it were a temporary income score, where you only get to use that income once. So, if you have an income of 2, you could split it and make two purchases with a +1 to your two income rolls.
- Each player rolls to see how much of their income score is in hard currency and with them when the outbreak occurred. What each player rolls will be variable so that they could have -2 to their income score in physical cash on hand. For example, if your income score is 2 you roll a 1d4-2. The highest roll would be 2 and the lowest a negative 2.
