Once they were locked up and tired away Sancho conformed they had a good lock before the transfer began and then it was a matter of waiting and watching.

Those on the CV Svetalana who are watching the external monitors can see a battered repair skiff come out from behind a ship on the other side of the dock. It maneuvers to the mid point of the empty space int he dock and stops.

The repair skiff is about 8 meters long, and 4 meters in width. It is mostly painted in a black and yellow checkerboard pattern that is marred in places where pieces of the hull has been replaced or where there are maintenance panels. Along the sides of the vessel in red lettering is its designation: ESRS-328.

"Is maintenance work-bee..." muttered Yuri.

"Not armed. But occupants could have weapons..."

The next thing seen on the external cameras is a person wearing a vacsuit coming walking on the of the ship in front of the CV Svetalana. The person makes a short 'hop' to reach the CV Svetalana's hull and with her hands raised approaches the ships airlock.

"You want I go greet them?" asked Yuri.

"Roger. Receive our visitor. Admit to Svetlana. Until quarantine is established are to remain in isolation in vacc suit."

He continued with clearing out the arms locker, comms locker, and policing up personal effects.

Yuri goes down to the airlock to invite the visitor in. He directs them to leave any weapons in the airlock, cycle it and come in, but to remain in their vac suit until otherwise directed.

"Welcome to the Svetalana. I am Yuri, you?"

Sancho follows Yuri down and covers him at the airlock as the visitor arrives.

Yuri and Sancho watch the person enter the airlock. As she turns around with her hands up the two men can tell that the belter woman in the vac suit has no obvious weapons. Her vac suit does have various pouches and whatnot containing items to conduct maintenance in a dock, some of which could be used as a blunt weapon. The face with in the helmet is that of a young woman, in her mid to late teens, maybe a bit older than the Belter girl they left piloting the same ship, but not older than twenty.

Yuri doesn’t see any of the brown goo that the infected people in the casino were spewing on other.

Sancho turns to Yuri and asks "OK how are we going to do this ? Let her go back out and bring the family in or do we go and help ?" he made sure the intercom was off before he asked.

"Ok I'll let her know." he presses the intercom button again "Someone's coming out to get your family, stay still while he does this."

Yuri checked his suit thoroughly before stepping into the airlock and cycling it. He engaged his magnetic boots and stepped out, making his way towards the work bee.

"All right, I'm coming to lead you aboard, OK? Put your suits on and check they are sealed, then come out. Tether yourselves together if you can. Then I can hook on to you and lead you back safely. Do you understand?"

As Yuri steps past the girl in the airlock she states in English to Sancho "No one there has vac suit."

Yuri steps off onto the hull of the CV Svetalana, and makes a short zero G hop to the hull of the repair skiff.

[Private to Yuri Ivanovich: Peering inside the airlock of the repair skiff, Yuri sees a total of six people, none of whom has a vac suit on. Of the six people two are adults (a man and woman), two teenagers (boy and girl), a little kid that' can be more then five years old, and the adult woman is holding a baby.

With no vac suits (the girl wasn't lying), it's clear there's no way he's going to be able to get everyone on the repair skiff to either the CV Svetalana or the Stealth Gunship.

Of course, it's not like the repair skiff can't dock with another ship, although the angle of the CV Svetalana's crew airlock is at an angle that makes docking impossible.]

"OK We have problem... this ship, has he lock or bay where I can bring the workbee... Nobody has spacesuit."

Yuri reviewed the ship in his own mind. It couldn't dock with the airlock he'd just come out of, the angles were all wrong.

In reply to Yuri Ivanovich (msg # 53):

"Wait one. Will check."

He opened the emergency lockers to see if there were any surviving rescue equipment that could serve here.

Sancho would also help with getting any rescue or vac suits ready to be handed over.

Van goes back down the crew deck with Sancho in tow and begins grabbing vac suits from his (former?) crew's individual lockers. Seven crew meant there were seven vac suits available.

The vac suits are of course of Belter manufacture, with longer arms and legs then those made for Earther's or Martians.

"If available suits too big, find straps, bundle people up inside," said Yuri.

As they moved back to the airlock with the suits, making multiple trips if he needed to he asked "What do we do if they are infected with this bio weapon ?"

In reply to Sancho Castro (msg # 58):

"Refugees are admitted into Svetlana airlock. Put on vacc suits there. Understand that taking off vacc suits will result in deadly force. Remain in vacc suits until notified. Spacewalk from Svetlana to Valentina. Will set up quarantine on Valentina as soon as practical."

"Nyet. Refugees need suits to come from workbee to ship. Instruct to remain in suits, da," Yuri corrected before setting off for the smaller craft carrying as many suits and webbing straps as he could manhandle.

Once there, he cycled the lock and gave the refugees the suits, showing them how to use the straps to make the suits fit at least well enough for the wearers to shuffle along.

"Once aboard our ship, stay in suits after lock cylces, da? Quarantine precaution."

After however many trips it took to get all the suits over and get the refugees dressed, Yuri led them back to the Svetlana, tethered together to ensure nobody drifted off.

OOC: Don’t forget about letting those on the smaller stealth ship your plan.

He switched to the suit-to-ship channel.

OOC: Posting this in both threads.

Yuri brings over the spare vac suits to the repair skiff (aka work bee) and places them in the airlock. He waits there, hanging onto a hand hold ready to assist in the personnel transfer. To facilitate this, the skiff’s pilot retracts crafts the work arm and uses the maneuvering thrusters to get close to the CV Svetalana.

Meanwhile, Van and Sancho transfer the supplies the can into the crew airlock of the Ba’al (i.e. the small stealth ship). They then prep the larger cargo airlock to be a quarantine area for those on the work skiff by leaving ration packs and water for seven people for a few days.

Although a strip search is suggested such a thing would be a bit demeaning if done by a trio of men when four of those being transferred are female (2 adults, a teen and a preteen). Thus, this step is skipped.

Over the comms, Shasa declares that with an infected person on the there will be no transfer of air and water from the CV Svetalana to the Ba’al. She passes on that in conferring with Shinsato that there’s plenty of air and water for all if the two stealth ships dock when leaving Eros.

Shasa declares that Van, Sancho and Yuri should also be quarantined just in case they picked up whatever it is that infected Eros. She apologizes for this, but states its in the best interest of everyone.

The Ba’al is soon docked with the Apophis and although no one really has an idea yet of where to go a course is plotted into the Belt.
