Braelig wants to discover all information regarding the old kingdom, and has spent years in search of a way to reach it. He seeks answers to the ancient questions of Dammerhall. What caused the black flames? Who coordinated such an attack, that all six bridges were collapsed and not a single survivor? What happened to all of the previous expeditions that left each of them to the exact same fate?

Braelig wants to see a new king crowned, but has no skin in the game of who, so long as it is a person who wishes to unite them for the good of all clans rather than some greedy, power-hungry bastard who only cares for himself

Bugrem Stonesinger Ranger

Bugrem wants to fulfil his obligations and debts to Lord Rogar, earning his clan one final sliver of honour as they fade into obscurity. If possible, he hopes to survive long enough to place his father's signet upon the ancient hearths in Dammerhall so that he can seek his own death in trying to oust the dragon who destroyed his clanhold

Eusebia Hearthwatcher Axegrinder Cleric

Eusebia Hearthwatcher Axegrinder wants to see the proud race of the Dwarf return to their old glory, and she is sure part of that is to reclaim the old cities, starting with Dammerhall. She is sure to have the backing of the gods,  Berronar Truesilver specifically, because how can her people have a true home when they are basically in exile?

She cares less about personal glory than helping the fighters and explorers in their mission.

Gilly wants to find his long-lost father. Barring that he wants to send home money to his family to support the business he abandoned to become a wandering fighter. His family are silversmiths and when he is in a town with a silversmith's guild house he will send a letter and draft of money to his mother.

Grenda has been searching far and wide to find a lost city. When she finds it, the goal will be to learn its secrets, and earn her place in the history books

For Joskar, he personally would like to see Dammerhall restored.  His clan, however, wants access to the mines that were once their holdings there more than any desire for the throne or care as to who sits upon it.

As an archaeologist and a wizard, he wants to see what happened to the city and what is in there.

Also, his mentor was on a previous expedition that went there and was 'lost' so he wants to find out what happened to them.

The Totemic Warriors of the North East serve the Mithral Throne and not those who claim Kingship. With the loss of the Mithral Throne they continue to Honor the last ancient Oaths to it. But with every Expedition they send a few Totemic Warriors along to see who might claim the Mithral Throne and who will win their allegiance.

Raseri is one such Totemic Warrior sent upon this trial, even though every other expedition has been lost he still volunteered for it. Not just because of the chance to see the ancient homeland, but as a means to test himself, to accomplish what no one else ever has while living to tell the tale.

While closing in towards his 60th year, he still has the streak of youth within him, as well as the untamed wildness that all the Totemic Warriors possess along with their fearlessness making him a Chaotic if good nature-ed sort prone to running headlong into danger with a laugh

Morginn aspires to reclaim her own stolen heritage, escape the lingering tethers of oppression her people are laden with, and establish a place for the Duergar in the reborn Dwarven kingdom
