Re: Out Of Character Discussion

Always nice to have more spell slingers.

My Barbarian would of course scoff at such an idea.

The math bits of Character Creation are done on Korgs' sheet.  I just have to enter in Personality and Back History.

Re: Out Of Character Discussion

You know, what with Advantage on Poison saves, and Poison resistance, we could go fortify ourselves for the mission by drinking the nearest city dry.

I figured drinking every place we stopped through dry would just be par for the course.  :3

Now I picture the nematodes from Spongebob literally drinking his house away and moving on.

Sounds great!

Which is usual part course for dwarven adventuring bands and armies, however consider the fact if your brewmaster as dwarf and your main clients are dwarves so you need some serious brewing knock dwarf drunk (and usually go for good flavor as well).

Re: Out Of Character Discussion

There's a damn good reason I took Brewer's Tools both as a tool proficiency and purchased kit, along with a background that lets Morginn scavenge food and water for supplies.  Gotta keep the ale rations up on the march!

I brought kit (and proficiency) as well and have survival proficiency! So we would be brewing together to keep the men properly hydrated :)

Re: Out Of Character Discussion

Should make for a fun variety in recipe swaps since Morginn's undoubtedly been using subterranean materials in her brewing; things like mushrooms, cave algae, ash-grown root vegetables, rock filtering, and the like.  Ales and beers would be odd by comparison to what they're used to, but surely she can make some amazing vodka and other hard spirits.

In reply to Morginn Hollowforge (msg # 122):

Indeed, as Goldbrews have likely made few recipes already using underground materials and components. But likely Morginn knows more of them and Milli as brewer will absorb the knowledge and likely do own twist to them experiment :)

Re: Out Of Character Discussion

I have forgotten who asked me about Familiars and what they actually asked me. If that person sees this message please send me a PM. I have no idea how I lost the previous PM.

After having looked over the Familiar stuff I think I will allow people to use the Find Familiar spell to bind one creature up to CR1 to them, but no humanoids, goblinoids or giants only monsters, beasts and aberrations. However you will have to roleplay finding the creature and negotiating with it. It also doesn't get a respawn if it dies, that's it, game over for that Familiar.  Which also means that you can't bind another creature to you using Find Familiar, you will just have the core spell.

Re: Out Of Character Discussion

I want to keep throwing a Scottish burr on my character for some reason.

And each time I do I keep thinking of Mike Myers.

Re: Out Of Character Discussion

I imagine more of a Scandinavian or Germanic accent for them, since they are prevalent in the myths from those area.  Like for elves and other fey, I imagine a Celtic, more Irish accent, while Gnomes I imagine more Welsh or Scottish.  But, that is just me.

Oh definitely. Raseri is literally the Norwegian word for Rage.

But for some reason, Mike Myers Scottish accent creeps into my head.

I blame it on John Rhys Davies time as Gimli in the LotR movies.  He's Scottish.

Oh fair point.

You know, when ever I hear his name, I don't think LoTR.

I am dating myself here, but I think of the series Sliders.

I loved Sliders.  Despite the weirdness towards the end.  Or, maybe because of it.
