After school, there were now a couple of dozen students gathered outside, and looking expectantly at Alicia.

"Okay, before we start, I just want to ask a few questions: does anyone have any healing powers? What about experience with fighting a monster?" Alicia asked.

A rather chubby young man raised his hand.

"I can heal!" he said.  "It takes some work, though."

"Okay, we're going to break up into small groups to train. Be careful, try to not to injure anyone," Alicia said.

The students did so.  Was there anything Alicia was going to do during this training?

Alicia looked for a group to join she's not normally a part of.

The girl she'd just talked to was there, as were the two boys she'd spoken to earlier...

"Mind if I practice with you guys?" Alicia asked.

"Well, I guess so," said Adam.  "You fine with that, Steve?"

"Eh, why not?" he said.

"Thanks. Is this armed or unarmed?" Alicia asked.

"Armed," said Adam.  "That's how we're probably going to fight, right?"

"Cool, let's do this then," Alicia said.

Adam appeared to have a large-- VERY large-- hammer; Steve reached out his hand and a spear of golden fire appeared in it.

"So, how do you want to do this?" Adam asked.

"Let's see if you can get me," Alicia said.
