The bugbears were ready when the door was kicked open and while they weren't totally ready for what they saw, the groups talking gave them time to get ready.

The front two bugbears swung at Solgran, in the doorway with huge Morningstar's, one missing and smashing against the stone of the arch, the other missing even worse than the other. Three others stood ready in the room with simular weapons. The other three lofted javelins at the doorway, two at Solgran and one at muffin, standing by his side. The one aimed at muffin barely scratched him as it deflected off, and one of the javelins was knocked aside by the warrior.

...but one hit true on the barbarian, the weapon striking his shoulder <Solgran takes 8 piercing damage>

Allura saw with a bit of shock not undead but the furry forms of bugbears at the door.
She knew they were tough beasts from past battles. She called upon her abilities to curse one of the bugbears before launching an eldritch blast.


Bonus action place curse upon one of the barbarians in the second rank.

Caldrel moved up through his group of companions until he stood before a batch of bugbears. He sent a burst of cold from his palms, washing over the creatures and freezing them in place. Then, instead of standing as a vulnerable, soft target in front of the others, he teleported to the back again.

Move forward to catch as large a group of enemies as possible. Can use sculpt spells if Solgran or other allies are in the way.
Action: Cast Rime's Binding Ice in a 30-foot cone. Con save DC 14 or each bugbear takes 18 cold damage (save for half) and speed reduced to 0 for 1 min.
Bonus: Fey Step to back of party.

While Muffin kept the bugbear at bay, Snoric took careful aim with Ultio and fired.

Solgran embraced the ancestors, calling them to come to his aid and watch over the rest of the party. Lifting the maul high overhead, he slammed it into the ground, causing a wave of thunderous force to burst outward, into the room.

Seeing the mass of bugbears and fearing a hard fight, Amalia decided to try to even the odds a little, falling into a different song. Stardust appeared over the goblinoids and fell on them.

Casting Faerie fire to catch as many bugbears as possible. DC 14 dex save

ROUND 2
LOCATION - Dwarven Mine (Eastern Barracks

Yana saw the bugbears come in to attack Solgran and muffin, but her gaze went to the three behind and fired her crossbow. The bolt flew between friends and enemies alike and hit one of the bugbear at the back, but the bolt skipped harmlessly off its armor. The woman went to hide, but with the passage so small, there was nowhere to hide, and she knew it.

Caldrel stepped in front of Snoric, in which the gnome was about to argue when he let out a devastating spell of ice engulfing the area in mist - including solgran and Muffin. When it cleared, the five closest bugbears were covered in ice, two of which were hit hard as well as stuck on the ground in ice. Strangely, muffin and solgran looked unharmed.

Solgran grimaced, with an inner fire coming to his eyes as he called for his ancestors to help him in this time of need. The barbarian brought the magical hammer up and slammed in against the ground, not thinking of the effects as a whole. Two of the bugbear close up felt the full force, and were knocked back. One, hit full on flew back and hit the table, its neck snapping with a crunch. The other two stood side-by-side, severely wounded by the attack of the wizard and warrior. The shockwave shook the floor, and given muffins closeness to Solgran took a little damage, but everyone felt the shake.

Snoric, standing back took aim at the closest bugbear as muffin ran to the right. Snoric adjusted his aim to back him up as the fox attacked, the gnome fired. While the fox missed as it side stepped, it brough the gnome into perfect line, and the weapon echoed through the room, making the bugbear flinch at the sound. The one wounded by the weapon had a gaping hole in his stomach as he looked at them.


Amalia, her ears still ringing got to her feet and decided the bugbear in the back needed the fear put into them. She called for selune's light to mark them, and while one got out of the way of the spell, two of them were lit up by moonlight <Bugbear 8 and 2 are affected by Faerie Fire. Any attacks against them are with advantage>

Allura narrowed her eyes, speacking in the celestial language, cursing one of the bugbears as she pointed at it. A blast of eldritch energy flew out and slammed into it's chest, causing it to waver, clutching it's smouldering chest.

The bugbears, despite their wounds and losses came on. The two attacking muffin missed the metal fox, confused by what it was, the javelin throwers threw them, two missing so bad they hit the edge of the wall, the third had good aim, but bounced of amalia's heavy armor. The two facing solgran came in, and while one missed, the other got a solid hit, though he barely registered the hit with a smile <Solgran takes 13 Bludgeoning damage halfed to 6 due to raging>

All of a sudden, the bugbears weren't so sure of themselves.

Amalia maintained her concentration on the stardust spell and casted her now familiar bells, directing Ophelia to fly among the front line goblinoids to help Solgram, before coming back to her side.

Snoric held his position outside the door.  He targeted the nearest bugbear, hoping to take some pressure off Solgran.  Muffin he moved to assist also.

Now standing in the back of their group, Caldrel sent off a single burst of fire at one of the bugbears he could see, hitting well!

Yana had a sense of relief they weren't facing undead - fighting something they could kill (Despite the danger) relaxed her...or more to teh point, the overwhelming fear she had with undead ebbed away. Maybe it was this lapse, but when she lined up to shoot at one of the bugbears, the bolt flew wide, slamming the back wall

Caldrel's  previous spell, though effective was no longer in effect due to the warriors magical strike with his hammer. The wizard decided for a more basic approach and fired a mote of fire towards one of the bugbear towards the back. The one that had no injury or lining fire felt the force of the firebolt as it slammed into his chest.

Solgran looked at the bugbear that dared to attack him, the injury barely even registering the human made the bugbear pause and ponder his decision. That simple pause gave him ample time to see teh maul coming and stepped back as he swung in an arc. The bugbear smiled as it missed, but the smile was short lived as he followed through, coming around and slammed the head of the maul like a battering ram into the bugbears chest. He crumpled to teh ground, unable to breathe as it's chest was caved in.

Snoric contemplated helping Solgran, until he saw one of the two crumple to teh ground dead, and the other whimper as the warrior looked at him. Muffin's protective programming urged him to help, but the warrior fox knew the bugbear it faced was near death, and lunged in, tearing it's throat out. Snoric was lined up perfectly with one of the bugbear and fired his weapon.


Amalia sent her owl to help the warrior (not that he needed much with his brimming anger) and called for selune to smite the bugbear. The clear ring could be heard as she attacked teh same one that Snoric shot, but he simply grimaced as he readied to attack

Allura, injured as she was focused her magical link and sent a bolt of energy towards the bugbear that bore teh celestial curse, but her magical energy just missed as he bent over to pick up a javelin

Wether bolstered but urgency of teh death of three of their kin, or some other force, teh bugbear pushed on with vigor. The furtherest one, his chest still smouldering from Caldrell's magical attack, threw a javelin at Solgran, piercing his arm <Solgran takes 7 piercing damage lowered to 3 due to raging>. Another threw his javelin at Snoric, hitting the gnome in the side <Snoric takes 7 piercing damage>. The third sent his javelin in and cut solgran's face <Solgran takes 5 piercing damage lowered to 2 due to raging>.

Caldrel launched yet another bolt of fire, aiming at one of the bugbears marked by Faerie Fire first.

ROUND 4
LOCATION - Dwarven Mine (Eastern Barracks

Yana's had was finally getting back into the zone as she saw one of the bugbear glowing from Amalia's spell. Taking aim, she fired at it, and the arrow hit true, slamming into the already wounded bugbears chest, sending it down.

Caldrel aiming at the same enemy as Yana dropped, quickly changed his target to the other glowing one, clearly less damaged than his fallen counterpart. The bolt of fire sped in and slammed his chest, but he seemed to not even notice the smouldering mark.

Solgran looked down at the javelins in his body, and knocked them out as if they were thorns, making the last bugbear standing near him make a sound liek a scared puppy. This sound would be followed up by the sickening crunch as the human swung the maul in an uppercut shot into his chest, shattering ribs and spine causing it to colapse. Solgran jumps over the fallen corpses to the one just behind - had he paid less attention to muffin he may have seen the arc of the hammer some in knocking his head clean off.

Muffin moved forward past solgran to one of the two remaining bugbears, who dropped his javelins and went for his own Morningstar. The Metalic fox lunged in, but missed.....luckily for him Snoric was behind him and lined up the enemy perfectly creating a huge hole in his side. The bugbear winced as with one hand he held the morningstar, the other he held his organs in his own body.


Amalia called for selune to aid them, calling her to send the bells of the moon to their aid. The group heard an almost faint chime, while the bugbear at the back screamed, holding his ears in pain at the sound.

Allura called to her patron to help them, and holding her hand out, send a glowing bolt to strike the closest of the two bugbear, tearing off half his face and skull in eldritch fire

The last Bugbear knew his death was close, so he did not hesitate, throing a javelin down the hallway towards the spellcasters - any spellcaster.

The group watched in silence as it flew, in slow motion. It passed Allura who fell towards the wall. Amalia felt it skim off her armor, and caldrell felt it move his hair, but somehow it missed all of them.

He bent over to retrieve his last javelin, but as he came up, a shadow came over him, and he looked up in time to see the maul of solgran take his life
