I'm at 5th level, but technically I'm  a 4th level Rogue and 1st level Fighter.  So while I rolled well for HP, that's all that's really changing so far.

Infuse item is one of the class features.  You get various choices.  The one in question is:

Repeating Shot
Item: A simple or martial weapon with the ammunition property (requires attunement)

This magic weapon grants a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with it when it’s used to make a ranged attack, and it ignores the loading property if it has it.

If the weapon lacks ammunition, it produces its own, automatically creating one piece of magic ammunition when the wielder makes a ranged attack with it. The ammunition created by the weapon vanishes the instant after it hits or misses a target.


So without this Snoric couldn't use a shield (need two hands to reload) AND he'd need a supply of gunpowder/ammunition.  Unless he could learn the secret of making gunpowder, he'd probably swap Ultio for a crossbow (or more likely his handaxe).

I can still use bullets (if I had ones with special properties for example) but I don't have to.

In privateer (if you can recall that far back) the catapult on the Tempest used this feature.  It didn't have a supply of rocks, which would seriously hamper seaworthiness, she fired 'magic rocks', courtesy of the ship's artificer.  Slight bend on the rules but the GM allowed it in exchange for 2 infusion slots!!!  :P

Yana, if your dex is not maxed, you might be better off to add 2 points in dex, it will add a +1 damage and to hit to your crossbow attacks. A move from 8 to 10 wis is not really going to do much for you, might as well get expertise in perception at rogue 6

On attacks that use your Dexterity, yes. You add your Dex and Proficiency bonus together for your bonus to attack rolls, and you add your Dex modifier to your damage rolls.

I must admit getting another+1 above and beyond your proficiency bonus would let you sniper shot a bit more.

I'd forgotten that Dexterity adds to certain attacks, but i see on my dnd beyond sheet that I've already added it.   I guess it's been a while since I examined it. ;)
