Sis remember you also get a move action so after you disengage you can also move.

Rogues are extra mobile starting at 2nd level.

So this is the end of t6e cave complex, I will need a plan of action of what you want to do and what you want to take discussed, we there here or in discord. Once I know that I can post and move us on to the town and chapter two of this fine adventure

1. Free the wolves
2. Load the goods into the wagon (and the weapons/armor from the goblins to be sold)
3. Deliver said goods (and Sildar) to Phandalin
4. Ask around town for any information related to Cragmaw Castle, Krol, or the Spider
5. ???
6. Profit (divide the loot)

I'd swap option 2 and 1 a little.

Send someone/s to retrieve the wagon
Load wagon with goods
Release wolves (leave goodies for them)
Get outta Dodge while they're eating
Deliver goods. . .

The wagon won’t pass the terrain here. You have to take the goods to the wagon

All the more reason to load the wagon before we release the wolves

I'll agree with releasing the wolves last, just in case they , umm....want to literally bite the hand that feeds them.  ;)

Remember the walk from the wagon to the cave was about 30 minutes

I thought it was more like 4 hours to go to the road where we left the wagon... I must be confused

Let me review that

YOu are correct Amalia that it took us 4 hours going up.  I'm assuming it's faster now since the first time we were moving stealthily, looking for traps and avoiding detection.

Because it isn't stealthy and less round about, you can get there within a little under 2 hours.

Well here's hoping there aren't too many loads to transport then!
