You arrived at the docks, Lois was waiting there in a raincoat.

"Sorry, I wasn't sure what to wear," she said.

Levi laughed.

"That's fine," she said.  "There's some ocean spray sometimes, but I was going to fly you there, just to save you getting wet.  Are you ready?"

"Ready," Lois said, trying to look stoic.

Levi picked her up (carefully, princess-carry style) and flew her back to Seabase!

You heard a loud explosion coming from the docks.

Well, that wasn't good!  She flew in that direction at once.  It might just be an accident, in which case her strength might be important for rescue work.

...but it might not be that simple.

You see several people in high-tech gear loading several trucks with Lexcorp stamped boxes and crates.

Well, that just figured.

But Lex had a right to look after his company's property... she looked for the location of the explosion.

It seems to have come from the large hole the thieves are leaving through.

...Well, that was different.  She landed in front of the truck.

"All right, what's going on here?" she asked.  There was, after all, a small chance that this was Lexcorp being provocative.

"Crap! IT's Leviathan!" One of the thieves shouted.

"Idiot, it's why we got the gear!" Another one answered and they leveled several weird looking weapons at you.

It didn't appear to be Lexcorp gear.

"...You could have surrendered," said Leviathan.  She didn't dare roar here-- too likely to damage something important, like the building with a hole in it.  She therefore surged forward to close with them...

Levi punched the nearest.  A simple tactic.

Luck reroll to get a 21; Damage 16.

The remaining thieves opened fire on you.

(OOC: We have three hits doing 10 damage each.)

"Ow!" said Levi.  "Hm.  You guys have bigger guns than the regular Lexcorp guys.  It's, um, not really going to help you, though."

She went to punch the next one.

"It's working!" one of the thieves said as your punch went wide.

(OOC: Only two attacks hit for the same damage this time.)

The blasts were wearing her down, but not quickly.  Levi closed with another one and punched.

And spending Luck to make that a 21, Damage 16

Another of the high-tech goons went down, but none of the thugs manage to tag you with a shot.

"...so you know this is only ending with all of you hurt if you don't surrender," said Levi, punching another one.  "Maybe a thought, there?"

27 with luck to end this quickly.

Another of the thieves went down. The last two each grabbed a crate and began to fly away.

She followed.  If they split up, she'd pick whichever one looked more like a leader.

They did indeed split up, you continued on after the leader.

You damaged the thief's jet pack, making him drop the crate and he went shooting off, high into the sky.

You manage to catch him, he seems to have dropped his weapon as well and can only flail and scream.

"Do you mind?" said Levi.  "I'm going to, let's see..."

She hung him on a light-post by his jet-belt (after she disabled it) and tried to locate the remaining thief.

You ae confident that the other thief got away.

That was frustrating, but at least she'd caught some of them.  She gathered the thieves together and waited for the police.

The police were there rather quickly and began arresting the thieves.

"They split up in the air," said Levi.  "I only had time to grab one of them..."

She looked around for the inevitable Lexcorp representative.  She might be able to figure out what was stolen from the questions she was asked.

A couple of women in expensive looking business suits rolled up in an expensive looking car as you said that. They got out of the car and began to talk to one of the officers. Which ever one wasn't speaking would be staring at you.

"Can I help you?" Levi asked.

The two finished talking with the police and walked over to you. They were tall for humans, both about six foot one.

"You must be Leviathan," the first one said. She was a black woman with her hair pulled back into a ponytail. "Thank you for recovering some of the stolen Lexcorp property."

"...and capturing the thieves, who may be able to lead you to the rest," said Leviathan.  "I hope no Lexcorp security were hurt-- I didn't see any of them around here.  Incidentally, you should probably be concerned.  The firepower that these thieves have is noticeably stronger than the standard arms of Lexcorp security, and those flight rigs that they have are very fast, too.  The remind me a little bit of mine.  I don't suppose you have any idea who they are...?"

"We do have a good idea one who the thieves are," the woman said. "I'm surprised you don't. There's only one group in Metropolis that have tech anywhere near that."

"Intergang?" said Levi.  "Sure, but that's not very specific.  There are sub-groups.  They must have been pretty well-informed about your security, too..."

"The security was light at the warehouse," the woman said. "Not many would dare to steal from Lexcorp."

The other woman, who was blonde and about the same height as her partner wandered over as well.

"But you've had another security breach recently," said Levi.  "I'm not going to tell you how to run your business, but... I hope that nothing was taken that is irreplaceable, and that no one was hurt."

"Three guards have been hurt and are recovering at Metropolis General," the woman said.

"C'mon, Hope, we're done here," the other woman said as your phone relayed that you got a text message.

Levi shook her head sadly and checked her phone.  It was all too likely that what was stolen could be dangerous-- that would be par for the course for Intergang.

It was a text from Wonder Woman:

"Sorry for bothering you, I do not use this device very often. I am sending you this message to let you know that there are rumours that Luthor was in talks with the Bana. They are a renegade group of Amazons."

I'd heard something about that, Levi sent.  There was a theft of Lexcorp property.  It's possible that it was staged.  Unfortunately, I'm not sure what I can do about the Bana, unless you can set up a meeting or something, until they attack.

"We have been keeping an eye on them and they don't seem to be preparing for an attack. I'm not sure what else Luthor would be after."

It might be a lot of things.  I suppose we'll have to wait and see, if they aren't doing anything obvious.

Have you noticed anything?

He's got several female associates who are tall enough that they are probably Amazons.  I'm not sure what he's otherwise up to; it's possible the robbery was staged, but I'm not sure that he'd allow the blow to his ego to allow himself to be stolen from, even as a ploy.

I am not sure I can help with that. I am sorry, I thought I should give you a warning about this.

Oh, I appreciate it!  And sooner or later, I'm going to get into an open fight with Lex.  It's good to know that he has Amazons working for him.  Thank you for the warning!

Levi stuck around to talk to the police and make sure no one else was hurt; she kept her ears open for any hints about what had been stolen.

There was a couple of security guards hurt as the women had said. They had already been taken away and in fair condition.

As for what was stolen, it was several high end microchips and other electronic parts.

...or that's what Lexcorp was admitting to, at least.  But it could be true, and left things open as to what they might want with such things.  It could be a very wide array indeed.

But there wasn't more to be done here.  She flew off...

...hm.  Lois might want to know about the amazons.  She sent her a text.

There are some very very tall women working for him.  He's been secretly negotiating with the Bana, who are a renegade sect of Amazons.  Probably legal, but I'd call it interesting.

He's either looking for some people to handle you or else he's scared for his personal safety...which would be something.

You might find an interesting story there, anyway.  Just be careful when you dig!

Levi wasn't entirely sure about that, but there wasn't much more to do now.  She went on to patrol a bit more of the city before she went back to the lab.

The city seemed to be otherwise quiet...
