"Got it," said Levi.  "Well, when you're ready, let's go!"

Arthur brought you to the royal library. There were books and scrolls laid out on a table.

"This is everything we've managed to find. It seems that some of the ancient Atlanteans managed to escape the sinking by traveling to an alternant world. It goes to reason that perhaps someone on this or the other side did the same recently."

Levi looked them over carefully, in great detail.  With her speed, it wouldn't take long.

It does lay out a rather complicated ritual that with a blood sacrifice, one could open a portal to a "Mirror World". The ritual doesn't make much sense beyond that, given you have no experience with magic.

"Well, it's magic, so I have no idea how this would work," said Levi.  "But where have you been seeing things?"

"We haven't found a pattern yet," Aquaman said rolling out a map of Atlantis that had x's on parts of it.

You can see a bit of a pattern, most of them somewhat near the palace.

"...I think a lot of these are near the palace?" said Levi.  "It's hard to know what to do about them unless I see one."

"Hmm. You're right. The problem is that the palace is so large, that doesn't narrow down what they could be after," Aquaman said.

"Well, talk me through one of these incidents," said Levi.  "What happens?"

"It's mostly been citizens seeing people they new in strange places, dressed as soldiers while they knew the person in question was elsewhere," Arthur said. "They mostly seemed to be scouting out the location."

"Soldiers scouting is bad," said Levi.  "Hey, can you change your guard's uniforms, make them something distinctive to minimize confusion with these new people?  And, um, you should probably step up security on strategically important places.  Like, a lot.  Make sure that doubles can't just order the guards on the armor or power rooms to let them in or something."

"The uniforms are already different and I've got as many guards as I can spare stationed here. The palace is where we keep most of our most powerful magic," Aquaman said.

"Well, good," said Levi.  "Try and be ready-- if they look like you guys, they could have spies learning your plans.  Try and account for that, I guess."

"Would you like to stay to have a meal as a guest of honour?" Aquaman asked.

"Sure, thanks!" said Levi.

Aquaman (and some guards trailing behind) lead you to the dining hall. You do recognize Aqualad there. He smiles when he sees you. There is also a beautiful woman in green with long red hair as well.

"Leviathan, this is my fiance, Mera," Aquaman said. "Mera, this is my good friend Leviathan."

"Hi, Levi!" Garth said.

"I'm sure you remember Aqualad."

"Good to see you again, Garth!" said Levi.  "And it's a pleasure, Mira.  How have things been here?"

"Mostly good, Arthur has been worrying over this new issue," Mera said. "I take it that you're here to help us. I thank you for your help."

"Oh, it's no problem," said Levi.  "...I can't do that much about the magic that they may be using to come here, though.  It's not my field at all."

"Still, Arthur has talked about you quite often," Mera said. "You are a powerful warrior."

Levi laughed awkwardly.

"Well, I suppose I am," she said.  "...it's not my first choice of thing to do, for certain reasons, but yes, I can fight to protect Atlantis."

"She's really good at science!" Garth said.

Levi laughed awkwardly at that.

"Well, I'm very good at life sciences," she said.  "I'm all right at the other parts of it.  I mean, I'm good, but I live in a city with someone who's a better physicist..."
