Hello everyone! I look forward to creating a memorable story with you all.

So we are about good to go as soon as everyone has a character idea. Please post in Where the Story Goes where you'd like to start. This does not have to be one group, although they will likely meet later on. And while those who travel together already know each other at least from sight at the start of the story, each character will get their own thread for time jumps to the past as to how you got there. If here is an idea you want to write out about that, or you want to add a small adventure that has happened before you met the group, you put a link to the respective post at the end of a post in the IC thread for your group. This way, there is no need to puzzle out from individual threads where the single post or posts fit into the story.

Every now and then, the threads will be cleaned up and the story so far, from all groups, will go into one thread so it makes a coherent story. Due to this, if someone goes AWOL or drops out, their characters will stay as NPCs as to such a time we can fade them out (or not if the group wants to continue running them).

If we are putting where we are starting into "Where the Story Goes", what do I use the Characters thread for?

I have posted on where the story goes, but I'd like to expand upon the implication of that post.  Anoushka begins on a road somewhere or perhaps a small village.  She travels throughout and thus could be anywhere from Baldur's Gate to the Vales

So, we have how many groups now? I'll set up groups later tonight, and then I can figure out where you start from.

So we have Anoushka Li, Annastarria and Amathavel starting at Waterdeep - logical place for you to end up in the same inn.

Farid, Scriostus and Mirabelle start at the World Pillar Mountains in the north of Al-Qadim.

Roland Tyr, Eldren Valdrake and Merdrel Kav start in a boat on the River Arkhen on their way to Selgaunt.

Does this work for everyone?

Sounds like a plan to me!

I'll have to find a way to get there because I'm damn near on the southern coast. And the land itself is called Zakhara.

Don't ask me why but it's the only forgotten realms setting where it isn't named after the place it takes place in.

The part of the continent is named Al-Qadim, meaning "without beginning" because to the inhabitants, they were there before everyone else was, and they consider the rest of the world as mostly uncivilized. Zakhara is thus just one of many nations arising and falling, but Al-Qadim will still be there when there is a new political setup.

Of course we could start you all out on the South Coast. Near Hudid or the Murr Oasis or Dihliz.

You'd have been directed to the Dripping Dagger and gotten the usual weird messages from the front door.

Got too busy today but groups are set so you can post, I'll do introduction posts tomorrow.

IC for group 1 will be up in a bit. I am working on the best starting point for group 3 as it ne4ds to be more in the south. Still need t0o hear from group 2 if the starting point works out.
