I've added two players so far..

Discuss among yourselves as to what part of the game you want to explore most..

I'm easy.

I am just now reading through the core book, so I don't have a lot to say as of yet. Is anyone settled on a character, either as general concept or fully-written?

Here's my very rough general concept

I was thinking of a young half elf who as a child was sold to an undertaker and made to work as basically a slave cleaning the bodies etc
One night after a beating he wished his owner would die.

The next morning his master was found dead next to a corpse who's hands were round his neck..... Fearing he would be tried for the murder he ran away..... Turns out he has an inbuilt ability to interact with the dead....

I was thinking half elf sorcerer with the path of the dead talent

How does he feel about being a 'necromancer' now - and how well-known is his talent?

In reply to Player 1 (msg # 5):

He doesn't class himself as a necromancer he sees himself as a caretaker of the dead and goes from village and town tending the resent dead and carrying out their burials

I like that idea.

We'll see what other characters the others come up with, then think about the group dynamics and maybe start to talk about any common goals.

Then decide where you start off on the map.

We're up to four now: any ideas from #3 and #4?

#2: So something of a wandering mortician/ritemaster? (That sounds like the sort of thing that should have a recognized order or cult...)   What sort of skill set would you be looking at?

I was thinking about lore and empathy with a bit of manipulation..... Not a fighter but then not a push over either as his kin talent of psychic power makes his professional talent death magic quite powerful because he can use his WPs more effectively....

I'm thinking of playing a halfling peddler or a Minstrel with healing and performance skills.

Between the half-elf and the halfling we'd have social dynamics covered pretty well. If #3 is also looking at that then maybe we could go for a more in-town troubleshooter group rather than ruin-delving sorts? Or #3 and I cover some of the rougher stuff. (At least to the point of making sure that we can actually get from town to town...)
