I'm taking the stance that if I don't know about the item, I'm not making a call on whether it should be used - so, Khaven and Evan?

I mean other people don't have forceful as a trait do they not get to roll at all during combat ?

1. Only when rolling as a group. Which is how everything worked... until we worked out that characters would attack bosses and minibosses in separate attacks.

2. Not everyone attacks with Forceful. Thieves attack with Agile. Mages attack with Insightful.

So ok Evan just kind of stands there and lets the candle do its thing I guess.

It's (1d6 for having your Get Violent attribute active, +1d6 for each ally with their Get Violent attribute active) normally.  In a boss/miniboss fight, the "+1d6 for each ally" bit gets skipped because everyone is rolling their own attacks.

For this fight, we also have an extra +1d6 for the candle.

So yes kind of standing around will let the candle do its thing.

So... taking back your attack. Yeah we'll let Renee handle this... and Khaaven, if he comes back soon.

If he doesn't come back real soon, I gotta tell you I think I'll just take over his character, try to keep him from getting killed in this fight, and then send him back to the town for a rest until his player comes back...

Can I or can't I do something without a trait ? It does have a pretty massive impact on things and should be very noticeable especially since I am addicted to attacking and yet I cant.

Sorry just really confused about things, do I have a normal D6 to do something or since my forceful is not active do I just not have the ability to do something. Right now it seems like all I can do is let the candle do it's thing from what I have seen.

In other news, I see that Khaaven checked in yesterday... but didn't say anything, neither here nor in PM. So... hope you're able to communicate and/or play soon, Khaaven...

I know that Khaaven did check in Wednesday and that we all hope that he'll come back soon, but I see no sign of it and I'm tired of the game riding the brakes while hoping. I've written him out.

If he comes back, great, he can pop right back in at any time, but... going slow and waiting isn't working.

...I guess another question I could ask is: should I advertise for a new player?

I think the game is best with at least 2, but even better with 3...

What do y'all think? If you think I'm being hasty to give up on Khaaven without waiting longer, I'll understand that too.
