Enemies List
The following are the most common types of enemies you'll run into in the dungeon:
--Automata: a catch-all term for enemies created and/or animated by magic, such as empty suits of armor. Many such were created long ago as guardians... Don't feel bad about destroying them because: it's not like they're intelligent beings, seriously.
--Elementals: a catch-all term for spirits from one of the elemental plane. They're mindless, yet territorial. Don't feel bad about destroying them because: when destroyed, their spirits just return to their own plane of existence.
--Giant Bugs // Giant Insects: Mindless and dangerous. Don't feel bad about destroying them because: it's not like they're intelligent beings, seriously.
--Plants // Oozes: It's surprising how well these varieties can survive without sunlight. Don't feel bad about destroying them because: it's not like they're intelligent beings, seriously.
--Undead: Includes bodiless ghosts and stuff, as well as dead bodies that just haven't stopped moving (or have started up moving again). Don't feel bad about destroying them because: you're just sending them onward to whatever kind of reward awaits them in the afterlife.
--Evil Cultists: These folks gather in dungeons a lot so that no one back at home is aware of what awful rituals they're performing. Don't feel bad about destroying them because: they're horrible people and you're acting in self-defense. They'd cut your throat in a second, honestly, especially if your back was turned. They're usually humans; you know what jerks humans can be.
Dungeons in different environments have a slightly different mix... for example, underwater dungeons have a lot more dangerous fish and stuff.
