(GM rolls randomly: Loot loss... The pearl)

Working their way backward again with their prisoners, the party finally makes it back to the spot on the Aurora where they got on in the first place.

The only downside is that the large pearl is lost... it must have been jostled from a pouch or pocket during all the jumping between ships and over broken flooring and such...

Having only recently left the vessel, Renee smiled and nodded, offering reassurances that all was well - "We just needed to escort these two back, they were injured and attacked by a zombie, and asked us to escort them to safety," - and reporting briefly back to the mayor.

"Of course, I-- but-- but-- but-- but what were they doing there? How did they get there?" wonders the mayor. He eyes the larger of the two men. "...Say, haven't I seen you around town? What were you people--"

"--My private yacht ran aground," says the not-large man who was the adventurers' prisoner until moments before. "It then sank, but the two of us swam to the ships' graveyard." He eyes the adventurers. "There... may have been other survivors.. it is too soon to say."

"I guess we should get back now then. Take care Mayor."

To one of the guard, "There are indications of other survivors on a ship called the Salty Dog. Still any thing coming off that floating labyrinth should have a close eye kept on them." the warning given for the Mayor and others safety Evan is ready to depart.

(MINIBOSS: DRAUGR

)

This unpleasant thing is worse than just a zombie... it's an ancient raider that's tougher than just a typical undead. It's going to take more than just one lucky hit to put this thing down.

(MINIBOSSES: Like regular combat encounters but it takes two hits with Get Violent to take them out. They also do 2 Harm at a time. (No more than 3 Minibosses per dungeon.)

(Oops, forgot the "and they attack immediately" part.

10:36, Today: The GM rolled 1 using 1d3 with rolls of 1.  1 E, 2 K, 3 R..

Evan gets 2 Harm.

EXCEPT HE DOESN'T because he wears the Bracers...

So...

10:44, Today: The GM rolled 3 using 2d2 with rolls of 2,1.  1 = trauma... 2 = Loot loss.

One of each.

10:46, Today: The GM rolled 1 using 1d16 ((1)).

Symptom: Evan needs an intervention (addicted to something: magic? adrenaline?)

But that's just a symptom...

Cause: Evan is feeling upset because of letting those two cultists go...

Evan's Forceful is disabled!)

The draugr hacks at Evan with his barnacle-covered axe.

Evan's bracers flash and the damage is prevented... but...

...A gold dubloon goes rolling away to disappear in a crack in the flooring...

..And... Evan's mind isn't really on this fight, now. It's on how frustrated he is about letting those two cultists go...! He didn't really mean to promise that...!

(I'll let you decide if Evan needs an intervention because he is now addicted to spellcasting or to the adrenaline that comes with risky combat itself...)

Renee's eyes flashed, and two tails briefly peaked out from beneath her dress as she gestured soothingly toward the draugr.  "Back to sleep, warrior."

The draugr stumbled as the strength momentarily fled from its limbs, its axe slipping free and gouging into the creature's side before the monster could regain its grip.

21:19, Today: Renee rolled 6,2 using 1d6,1d6 with rolls of 6,2.  Get Violent w/Candle.

Renee and Khaaven each got a 6...)

Between them, Renee and Khaaven are able to destroy the Draugr.

Khaaven tells Evan and Renee that this adventure is getting to him, and that he's going to head on back to the Alert and rest further and take a break from it. He hopes he'll be back soon, but he can't say exactly when, and he hopes that his two allies understand, but that the oppressive evil air of Harkaway's Folly is getting to him.

Before Evan and Renee get very far, they walk into a new area... and find an owl-Aarakocra looking around... He doesn't seem like a new monster, but more like another adventurer such as themselves...
