(Sounds like Agile and Forceful?

If we're all on the same page, then, roll 3d6 for Avoid Danger, and we'll see what you get...)

The rope severs cleanly, but the wind is not enough. The cage begins to fall into the water.

But it was ALMOST enough. It's going to be close enough that either of you (or both of you) could run over there and catch it before it falls in.

BUT at the instant you realize this, you also see a dark form in the water. Shark? Maybe.

(One or both of you can rush forward to try to grab the cage, but something you aren't gonna like is gonna happen if you do. Whatever happens, someone is gonna take at least 1 Harm.)

Evan runs forward, catches the cage before it hits the water, and tosses it over to a not-rotted part of the room (he knows, because it's the way he and Khaaven came in).

However, a giant crab claw comes up out of the water and grabs his leg. OW!

Evan manages to wrench himself free, but yikes, that really hurt!

(You may now:

--Make Camp

or

--Get Violent (by trying to lure the crab out of the water-- if you do, you will succeed in luring it up for a battle))

(I want cooked crab so ok)

18:28, Today: Evan rolled 5,6,5 using 1d6,1d6,1d6 with rolls of 5,6,5.  Get Violent.

Evan limps back and draws his scimitar aiming to drive it between the chitinous shell. He is already dreaming of a nice cooked crab for a meal.

Breaks up some wood and finds a place to make a fire to cook crab for their meals for a while.
Relaxes after briefly helping Khaaven search about.

While searching the area, a large wave hits the boat and rocks it slightly... Khaaven punctures his arm on a piece of planking broken during the crab fight.

Fortunately, the rest from the peaceful camp allowed both his arm and Evan's to heal just fine.

(Harm is removed, and the party is once again at 6 (maximum) HP.

Probably time for Move Forward again...)

(· You find a clue here about something nearby. Take +1 die toward your next Move Forward roll.)

With this next area, you seem to have explored all of the Aurora.

However, part of the hull here has rotted away... and someone has placed planks down to cross through a hole into an adjacent ship. If the name carved into one of the planks denotes this second ship, it would appear to be the Golden Hind...

There is also some sort of large insect wing here, more than two feet long... perhaps it was knocked off in a fight...?

Re: DUNGEON 1: THE DERELICT SHIP GRAVEYARD

"Looks kind of like a big dragonfly wing, what do you think Khaaven ?" Looks up checking for places bugs might hide as they move on. Once again creating a small arc of light to see by.

Ready to head unto the next ship.

Re: DUNGEON 1: THE DERELICT SHIP GRAVEYARD

Yes, it does look like it. This could become interesting with an Arial threat too.

Moving forward

11:08, Today: Khaaven rolled 18 using 3d6 with rolls of 6,6,6.  Move forward

We want something of value, and with 3d6 all 6's it had better be damn valuable.

A broken and damaged skeleton is in this new area. The blade of the cutlass it was evidently holding has also been snapped in half.

You notice that along with the usual rotted boots, belt, leather cap, leather vest and pants, it's also wearing shining silver bracers on each arm-- Evan can feel the magic in them from here-- even Khaaven can almost feel it.

Odd that while the skeleton has been defeated, no one has taken those obviously-valuable bracers...

"I am sensing magic coming off those bracers. We Let's scout out the room then see about those Bracers."

Will inspect the bracers with magic to learn what they might do when they have the time to focus on them.

The bracers are tied to something... taking them will mean waking something up.

On the other hand, Evan's magic indicates that the "something" doesn't otherwise involve the bracers themselves. If he (or Khaaven) takes them, the bracers should help protect at least somewhat against whatever taking them might "wake up..."

Re: DUNGEON 1: THE DERELICT SHIP GRAVEYARD

Explains the situation to Khaaven about the Bracers.

"If we take them they can offer protection even protection from what they might wake up or summon, but taking them will summon something. We are healthy though right now. So it might be a good time, or we could leave them and see if we find something that helps since we know taking them will lead to a fight."

Re: DUNGEON 1: THE DERELICT SHIP GRAVEYARD

I agree now is the best time to try it. I suggest that you get the bracers while I will hide here and cover you with my crossbow. If we both attack it from two sides we will stand a better chance at defeating it.

Will be at one with the shadows, in hopes of getting slight advantage in the first attack.
