Re: DUNGEON 1: THE DERELICT SHIP GRAVEYARD

Evan:
Takes the bracers putting them on. Then gets his scimitar ready preparing for what might come.

Once Evan puts on the bracers, his magic is able to give him a much clearer idea of what they are and what their function is.

(Major Item:
Bracers of Mental Deflection: With these bracers, 1 Harm is always deflected from the wearer... but it's converted into psychic feedback damage (Trauma) or confusion (something you're carrying will be lost)...)

A ghost appears, and, furious, attacks Evan. "Those are MINE...!"

Evan would have taken physical damage from the spectral attack, but the magic of the bracers protects him. Unfortunately, the psychic feedback wreaks havoc with Evan's psyche...

(Evan gets 1 Trauma: "I'm experiencing trauma about something in my past."

Evan's Forceful stat is disabled! (I rolled for it randomly, you can check!)

Roll Get Violent to fight the ghost! (Don't forget you have a Dawn Candle minor item that could help you if you want!)

Re: DUNGEON 1: THE DERELICT SHIP GRAVEYARD

Evan remembers being sick in bed on the farm so sick he couldn't leave his bed.
The scimitar hung limply in his hand.

He called upon an eldritch blast as he shrunk back from the beast to fight it.
He wiped at what he imagined to be sweat from sickness beading on his forehead.

13:10, Today: Evan rolled 3,6 using 1d6,1d6 with rolls of 3,6.  Get Violent with Evan's help.

Khaaven, quickly lights the dawn candle to aid his companion.

We are using 3 hp each and both can attack individualy with separate results if harm etc.

if yes to separate attacks, will my one with the shadows give me any bonus to this first attack. I normally roll 2d6 for a solo attack, so wanted to know what I should roll.

(I didn't expect that this was a Miniboss, therefore one damaging blow is enough to disrupt it and send it to its eternal reward, whatever that might be.

Evan's first die is a washout, 3. But his second one, for Khaaven's Agile, 6, will be sufficient.

I'll even let you not use up the Dawn Candle if you want.

Khaaven, when you attack the ghost, it THINKS that you've pierced its heart (or eye), and so, believing that it's received a mortal blow (even though it really did a long time ago), it wails and fades away forever.

Khaaven, describe exactly how you drive the ghost permanently to the other side.)

Evan leans for a moment on his scimitar then slumps over shivering dry heaving as if he is violently ill like when he was a child.

Re: DUNGEON 1: THE DERELICT SHIP GRAVEYARD

Khaaven seeing it was a spirit entity they were fighting readied a bolt which he had etched a rune on, one which he had seen a thief priest use. When he fired the bolt it flew true, striking the ghost in the eye. Upon impact the bolt flashed a ice blue color as the ghost wailed and dissolved from this world.

Evan, you are ok. Listen to me the creature never struck you, anything you are feeling is all in your mind.

Rolled a 5 for console so good to go once again

"What, who, oh Khaaven." The disoriented look slowly faded from his eyes.
Sitting up Evan shook his head, "Not at home."

For a moment Evan looked much younger but as he came to his senses his young adult looks returning.

Owwwww.... When Khaaven picked up one old rotten board, some sort of foot-long grub tried to burrow into his arm. He managed to pull it out and then stomp on it, but he's hurt-- and there's not even anymore loot in the room to make him feel better.

(Khaaven takes 1 Harm.)

· There is a person, some persons, a monster, or some monsters here! On a 6, you spot them first. On a 4 or 5, they spot you first. On a 3 or lower, they spot you first and will always attack!
· There is something valuable here! (It might be hard to get ahold of it, though...)
· You find something hidden here! (It may or may not be Loot, but it will be of interest...)
· You find a clue here about something nearby. Take +1 die toward your next Move Forward roll.)

Re: DUNGEON 1: THE DERELICT SHIP GRAVEYARD

Evan finds no enemies nor loot in this room, but he does notice a message carved on the back of a door... If you are friendly, there is help for you on the Salty Dog

A little lower down, though, it also warns WATCH OUT FOR THE CULT in more recently-carved letters.

You remember the Salty Dog as being the name of one of the ships foundered here... You think it might be nearby...

"Looks like there might be someplace safe to camp on the Salty Dog,  though mention of this Cult. I bet this is why we were hired. It looks a lot more recently carved less mold around it."

Evan straightens, "I know you like to look for Loot I will help but I am eager to find what the problem is here and remove it. Maybe we should look for the Salty Dog."

In this new area, there's not one but two items of loot.

--One is a wooden box that's probably a jewelry box, but it's beautifully carved with dragons. It's worth as much as a gold doubloon just by itself.

--The other is that the box is on a shelf right next to a solid silver candlestick.

Each item is surely worth as much as the other.

However...

Scant inches away from these two items is a large patch of orange-yellow mold or fungus on the wall and ceiling, and... it looks a bit dangerous. It quivers the more the adventurers come close.

Getting either or both of these items could be risky...

(Roll Avoid Danger, please)

That mold or whatever it is definitely going to react unpleasantly if either Evan or Khaaven disturb either of the items... who knows what could happen, but it's definitely going to be something. Not something fatal, not even to Khaaven who's already hurt, but definitely something unpleasant.

(No more rolls... grab them and take a consequence, or don't grab them and take no resulting consequence.)

Evan gets the loot away from the mold...

The mold jumps off the ceiling and wall like a manta ray and tries to smother Evan!

However, he takes no damage-- he quickly hacks it to pieces until none of the pieces move anymore.

He got a huge lungful of the spores, though...

(Evan gains a new Trauma! (GM rolls dice): "I'm feeling terrible because because I like all this violence more than I feel I should..."

Evan's Charming stat is deactivated! (I mean come on, I'm not flipping a coin when we just did the other one a minute ago...))

"We just keep killing things, I mean." Evan smiles a bit, "I know that is our job to clear this place out but I think I like it." Hands the items of loot to Khaaven.

Coughing a bit due to the spores.

"We should just set all these ships on fire and be done with it! Though I suppose there are some innocents on board like that frightened man."

Re: DUNGEON 1: THE DERELICT SHIP GRAVEYARD

Khaaven see's that Evan is coughing and breathing irregular. He preps a cloth with cool and clean water and ties it around Evan's throat, mouth, and nose. Use that for awhile it should help filter and remove the spores.

Rolled a 6 on console.
