AO calls forth power to imbue his gods!

OOC: Please make a note of these cards some where, as you'll use these cards to combat or protect on any action in this thread by using them to Ante up. You get them back if you win the dice roll. Then we redraw in the next age. Of course some of you may be lucky enough to have drawn face cards, they equal 10 in the Ante, but if you want, you may use any face card's power instead. Though you may not be able to defend with no Ante.

Aeon 1 Legends and Myths<Card Thread>

Cungto looked upon the chessboard despondently due to the likely future demolition of his first great Act; the Chessboard was his first creation. If He knew anything about Fusion, his chessboard might turn Into a Sun if a god created Fusion. He, however, would let chance take its course. Destruction was just the way of life.

However, there was an Aspect of Life far more interesting. Even without its Creation, he looked upon two aspects; The Aspects of Time and Death. For they were deeply related, all had to die, but their life was still mutable, and allowing them to shift their lives in the way they wished would be far more manageable. Luck was following along a separate strand. However, life liked to balance itself out. Lucky breaks lead to a greater likelihood of bad luck down the road, and Vice Versa. This luck balance could be statted out and shown and even potentially utilized in a couple of ways he already had in mind.

Luck, the choice of walking down the strings, even if it's manipulation is not direct.

The Source of this Power, The Lynchpin? The White King. For The Chessboard would be necessary yet.

Cungto using the Ace of Hearts Creates a Source of Power: The White King of Luck.

"Anal nathrak, uthvas bethud, do che-ol di-enve."
"Anal nathrak, uthvas bethud, do che-ol di-enve."

The words of Thackus rang throughout the Cosmos as the first incantation. The first spell. The Bear created magic it'self, but Thackus sought to create his own Sister Magic to the Bear's. Bjornrogn is not the only Lord of the Arcane. The spell of life before life, death before death.

"Serpent’s breath,
charm of death and life,
thy omen of making."

"Serpent before Serpent, Breath before Breath! Charm Of Death, Charm of Life before Death and Life. Thy omen of making!"

Use Ace Of Hearts to Create Source of Power: The Old Ways/The Old Speech, incantations/spellcasting.

Thackus was done. Through the great incantation, the first spell, he had created the spell of spells. Henceforth the spells cast by mages would draw from the power of Thackus'es voice , and, or his spoken words.

OOC:
The Charm Of Making manipulates a force of energy which is the first spell, The Charm of Making. Basically, all spells derive from the Charm of Making, aka, the first spell Thackus creates after Bjorgnon creates Magic.

What incantations, spell casting does is tap into the voice/spoken words of Thackus when he first cast it out into the Void.

Looking at The Board Some More, He figured the Risk to his White King, may come to pass with the degrading Board. Thus he empowered, his White Queen, to protect the White King. With an Opulent and Elegant Aura Emanating from the Queen, to Protect, the King. He Figured protecting the King, would allow for Luck, to continue, especially given his plans for it.

Cungto Uses a 7 of Diamonds to Ante to protect his White King.

And so it was in the early days of the Void that the White King of Luck came into existence, the source of the power of luck in the Void. Chance is solidified into the cosmos. From the white king and queen a soft glow emanates, not light but chance. Such probability seemed to stretch out across the tapestry of the Void, weaving into the very fabric of creation. All across the newborn worlds, tiny chances were being explored, things mixing which had never been planned; cause and consequence became one with static reality but rather than immutable destiny, unlimited probabilities. Thus it was that the first spark of divinity began to ebb, something mundane had occurred that no Deity could've predicted. Chaos had emerged...

(OOC: Having wagered and won, Cungto receives his own 7 of diamonds back to his hand, but his face card is spent.)

Likewise, The Charm of Making is uttered into existence. The echo of its creation reverberates across time and space, calling back to the moment when the first incantation is spoken. It will be said that this echo will continue to the very edges of the Great Void, then it will return from infinity at the END OF DAYS.

(OOC: Thackus receives no cards back)

"There is light." Pax said, staring out into the star-studded void.
"There is heat." Humilis added, looking toward the Sunstar.
"There is earth. Pax gestured to the chessboard and various other stony bodies in the system.
"There is water." Humilis continued, pointing toward the saliva left behind by Parenna.
"... and there is air." Pax metaphorically smiled to her brother, and the both nodded.

"Then let there be life." They said together, before drawing on the powers granted to them by the cards of Ao and releasing their will into the void.

Humilis and Pax play the Jack of Diamonds to create the most fundamental form of life: single-celled organisms, and evenly distribute this organic 'goo' on every solid celestial body in the void. A 9 of Diamonds is also offered up as an ante.

Aeon 1 Legends and Myths<Card Thread>

SO it was at the beginning of life, that Humlis and Pax joined in spreading the tiniest form of life across the material realm and upon every solid surface. AO sensed more lands and worlds may come in the future and watched some of the single cellular life freeze, only to fall upon future worlds elsewhere.

Down below on the surface of the Earthen world, bacterial growth began to supplement the nutrients of the soil with its excrement. In the waters, large amounts of the gooey cellular globs began to thrive on the fresh nutrients flowing in from various small inlets and streams. As a byproduct, nutrient-rich sludge began to settle on the floors of the few large and more permanent lakes. Too often they came and went, leaving decaying cellular and grass-based plants in their wake.

However, for such life, and indeed any life to exist, there needed to be larger bodies of water that could be permanent. For now, life was not very adaptable and not hardy enough to thrive in desert conditions as the ice-shelf of the Chessboard grew to take much of the water in the dance of the twin celestial bodies...

Shaping herself into a dancing snowflake, Perenna looks upon Lerret's northernmost region and an idea comes upon her. Multiple snowflakes then burst from two cards in her hand, decorating the land with white blankets of snow.

Perenna plays the Ace of Spades to turn Lerret's northernmost region into a tundra, and uses the five of diamonds to set an ante.

Cungto held no particular malice over this, however, a lot of life would die by the sudden climate change, and while he wasn't a good God, he did hold some feelings for the animals below, if the animals were to die some god needed to at least help protect them. It was all a game to Cungto something far more severe for the life below.

Thus he used that life to help ward off the cold.

Cungto plays the 7 of diamonds. To contest the climate change.

Taking the shape of a chocolate Dutch rabbit, Perenna smirked at the challenge presented before her and placed a paw on the three of hearts. She was curious to see whether or not any of her siblings would get involved.

Perenna uses three of hearts to up the ante.
