Howdy friend, names Ren, an acolyte of Pelor, and potentially your heal bot for the game.

Good to hear it. I'm a Dragonfire Adept. Let's just say that my family's draconic bloodline di not manifest in the usual way with me. I'll be using breath weapons to control and damage the hordes. Don't worry about getting caught in the crossfire. I took an invocation specifically to deal with that so none of my allies take damage from me.

Ah, and that one provides us with Protection from elements as well if I remember correctly. Useful in the wastelands Northcross is located in I would imagine.

No. It gives you the benefits of Endure Elements, meaning you can streak in the winter(don't really do this), but it also says that it give you immunity to my breath weapons for 24 hrs. Which is really important considering that I have taken a feat to entangle creatures that get damaged by my breath weapon.

Yes, endure elements, which works with heat as well if I remember correctly.

Well, yes. Existing comfortably in moderately extreme temperatures down to -40F and up to 140F. So no real elemental immunities, but good enough that blankets/cold weather gear won't be needed except in the most extreme circumstances.

Hello: Wild Elf Druid here.

I am afraid my build is quite selfish, both of my Feats are adding to Survival. However, I should be able to keep the entire party safe from starvation/dehydration/other environmental dangers through that skill. I am looking forward to using Flame Blade on corpses.

Yes. Burn them all. With my Breath Weapon and your Flame Blade, now all we need is a real good frontline soldier. I'd vote for a Paladin or a Barbarian since there is something about the Holy man attacking the undead or the crazy man just barging through the undead that almost brings a tear to my eye.

In reply to Marek Drovan (msg # 10):

i keep the invites open and active, but in an effort to get/keep the game moving i am in the process of creating what i hope will be temporary character that can fill the roll of front line.

Oh, take as long as you need. I was merely voicing my thoughts and opinions in the OOC.

I don't like hiding my thoughts, so you will see me voice my concerns, applause, displeasure, and the like here. Unless it's something that should be taken to the Private messages, which I am also more than ready to go with.

And now that I've included gear in the character sheet, my character should be ready to go. Still getting used to this character sheet format, unfortunately. On the bright side, my character is very simple to run. More or less.

there has been a lot of questions about if the party will ...

...use the town as a base of operations
...have a connection to the town
...etc

to be as clear as i can, here is the status of that connection and the assumptions i have built into the opening of the campaign.

While each seperate thing is not necessarily accurate about ever member of the party, they are a good guideline to "defign" the party as a group

1) the town is very small
2) the entire party are childhood friends
3) the entire party has become an adult recently
4) each member of the party wants to leave the town
5) the party decided to band together to pool resources so that they can all leave.

so at this moment each member of the party has some connection to the town, but also each member has "one foot out the door". but as the campaign evolves based upon player and character choices and actions the "connection" to the town that the party as a whole has may change, either strengthening, or disconnecting.

But the "plan" is for the party to become a strong independent separate entity that is not relying on the town.

and to be clear "independent" in no way means disconnected.

Sorry, working on the character piece by piece due to school and work. If you guys need a fighter I could always switch out cleric for fighter or some other warrior class.

Clerics are good. Most armor and shields mean they can fight with the best of them. Besides, Turn Undead is more valuable in the front then hanging out in the back.

My Druid is no slouch as a FLF either. With the wood scarcity I would rather be swinging my Scimitar than lobbing prescious arrows downrange. And one combat a day, 19 AC and/or Flame Blade is fairly solid.

Oh, we could get a bunch of feather tokens and make a grove in the middle of nowhere. Then we get a decanter of endless water and make an Oasis. Just leave it on and go for it.
