Chapter 2: Age of Inhumans

Earth-4634

Maximus Boltagon unleashed the Terrigensis Cloud exterminating all Mutants on Earth. Blackagar Boltagon and the rest of the Royal Family tried to reign in the exponentially increasing population. Blackagar and the entire Royal Family were killed in battle. Maximus Boltagon the last surviving member of the Royal Family took command of the Inhumans. His first decree was the execution of all Inhuman responsible for the death of his family. His second decree was any Inhuman who didn't fall in line was to be tortured to death. Once he had the Inhumans thoroughly under his thumb he used them to begin the take over of the Earth.

Chapter 2: Age of Inhumans

The Timebroker summons his Exiles to the Command Center.

"A strange phenomenon has occurred on Earth-4634. The Inhumans are on the verge of taking over the Earth. The Mutant population is already extinct. You are being sent to back up any resistance and ultimately liberate the populace." He handed a Tallus to each one. "This is a Tallus. This is how you will communicate with each other and your allies on the various Earths you visit. Also, this is how you will travel back and forth from the Crystal Palace. Your first stop is preprogrammed into it as well as the location of the Crystal Palace. If you lose it or break it you will be stuck wherever you are. They will be tied to your DNA and vibrational frequencies. So only you and you alone can use it, not even an alternate reality twin can use it because each alternate universe vibrates at a different frequency. If you are experimented upon and your DNA is altered too much you will be stuck wherever you are. That being said there is a saying on my Earth, nemo resideo, it means leave no one behind."

The Timebroker used his own Tallus to open a portal to 4634.

Chapter 2: Age of Inhumans

Rien now understood why she was asked to bring along only two hazmat suits. She handed one to Bennet. She took her Tallus and strapped it to her left arm. She could feel a needle puncture her arm. She figured that was how it collected the necessary DNA to lock it to her. She also surmised every time it came off it would do it again to verify she was the appropriate user. She then put her hazmat suit on she then stepped through.

Peggy rolled up her right sleeve and strapped the Tallus onto her arm. She was glad that Tony equipped her physical shield and energy shield with electromagnets so they could be worn on the same arm. She stepped through the portal. The first thing she saw was Avengers tower or rather what was left of the toppled over building. "The logo is the same?"

Chapter 2: Age of Inhumans

Bennet took the device. Even after the short time that he had been here, the technology was all still so foreign to him. The last real thing he remembered before his fight with the white skinned mutant he'd been told was named Sinister, they were still using swords and horses as their primary technology. He took the Tallus and stuck it onto his left forearm, feeling it lock onto his extended limb. The old crusader looked it over, curious how something that looked like an extravagant vambrace could allow them to travel through time and space and also allow them to communicate with one another. Strange times...

He accepted the offered hazmat suit and began to pull it on. "What do we need this for?"

Chapter 2: Age of Inhumans

"The..." he tried to search for the correct name, "Terrigen Mists was it?" he said before donning his helmet and locking it into place. He wondered idly if he could use his telekinesis to keep it at bay, but it was dangerous to simply try it. If there was an accident though, if his suit was ripped...

Bennet stepped through the portal and joined the rest of his team, looking around himself to get his bearings. He'd never been to NYC before. It didn't even exist in the time that he was from. No one had even been to this part of the world when he had been born. He looked to Rien and Peggy. "Who are we making contact with?" They would look incredibly out of place, he thought, so it would likely be a good idea for them to get off the streets.

Chapter 2: Age of Inhumans

Peggy pointed to the fallen tower with the giant A inside a circle. "That is the home of the Avengers. They would have been my first choice. They may still be around, just not in that building. It is still our best shot. On my world, there were quite a few teams that didn't rely solely on Mutants, the Avengers & the Fantastic Four are the most prominent both based out of NYC." She took off her energy shield. "If those hazmat suits rip you can die. Take this and press this button it erects a forcefield." She handed it to Bennet. "If something happens leave it to me at least until we can find you some better protection or an inoculation." She began heading towards the Avengers tower.

She started on the bottom floor of Avengers Towers. She figured that Tony would prepare for something like this and had a secret basement. "Look around if this world's Tony is anything like mine he would more than likely prepared a secret basement bunker, not that mine ever showed me his. He did have contingency plans for every scenario and s suit of armor for every situation sometimes more than one for exact same situation. So look for anything that might lead to a secret bunker." She started looking around.

Chapter 2: Age of Inhumans

"I'll use my sorcery for protection." She followed Peggy into the base of Avengers tower. She sat down in the exact middle of the lobby. She began chanting in French, her voice barely above a whisper. After several minutes she stands up. "If there is something here it is mystically protected beyond my capabilities. If that is the case then finding it by looking and touching will be impossible."

Suddenly the floor underneath of her started to rumble and rise up. Several Iron Man armors poured out, pointing their hands at the intruders with their repulsors glowing. In a very robotic tone, they spoke all at once. "You have two minutes to surrender." One of them motioned for Rien to get down. Rien jumped down. She put her hands up.

She thought back to her time on the Avengers specifically Tony's protocol names on her own Earth. "Execute Party Pooper Protocol." The Iron Man armors all shut down. "HA! Tony's still got jokes. Rhodes must hate that." Something just dawned on her all of sudden. "Tony's protocols were all voice recognition and had to be an authorized user, and he only authorized his family and closest friends. That means the Rien of this Earth was very close with Tony." Rien became very disgusted at that thought. "Disgusting."

Chapter 2: Age of Inhumans

He took the offered device. "I am capable of creating a forcefield around myself, but I do not yet understand the extent of my abilities." It was a little awkward being so unfamiliar with what he was capable of doing. His fight with the one called Sinister had taught him a lot of what he could do after being transformed by En Sabah Nur. He felt like a bit of a liability to his teammates at the moment. "I can search for anyone telepathically," he said and prepared to thrust his consciousness down into the depths of the building in hopes of making contact with any living things down below. Suddenly the ground shook and the earth sprung up seemingly of its own free will and several steel armored soldiers leveled some sort of weapon at them. Bennet clenched his fists and prepared to defend himself and his teammates against what must certainly be some sort of mistake. They had come here to rescue these people. Then, they just shut down. "What is this?" Bennet said confused.

"These are Iron Man armors." Rien picked a helmet off one. Rien showed the empty helmet off to Bennet. "Usually Tony Start wears them. On occasion, he has been known to employ them like this. He usually refers to it as his House Party Protocol he seems to have modified the protocol for security." She stuck the helmet on her head it turned on. "It's verifying the user." She hated having her eyes scanned like that. "What the hell? It seems the Rien of this world is also known as Mrs. Stark. Give me a moment with this helmet."

Peggy looked inside the armor without a helmet. "Never seen one without Tony or Rhodes in it. Weird. Though it does look comfortable with that padding." She looked down the hole the armors came out of. She pulled a flashlight out of her belt. She jumped into the hole. She looked around. "Bennet, Rien the only thing down here is a recharging station for those armors."

Peggy climbed out of the hole. "I was thinking. Iron Man armors are hermetically sealed and provide their own oxygen to the wearer. What if the two of you wear one of these armors? You will be safe and you will be able to fight."

The ancient mutant looked at the helmet and then peered down inside the suit to which it had belonged. He was aghast but not shocked to find that it was empty. It was strange technology indeed that made these metal men move like they had, with such dangerous potential. "I wore a suit of steel across my back and chest when I marched into the Holy Lands, much different than these obviously... I think perhaps donning these could be a last resort." Bennet stepped away from the suit and looked at the both of them. "Perhaps I could use my mind to search below this structure?"

Chapter 2: Age of Inhumans

“Using this Earth’s Rien’s access to the Stark Database I have found four possible spots they could be hiding out.” Three of the five armors power up and fly below radar range. They were programmed to land near to the three of the four potential hiding spots, they are not going directly there because if they did it could lure Inhumans to them and wipe them out. Rien erected a mystical barrier. She stripped off the hazmat suit. She then got in the armor. “This one is referred to as Blue Steel.” She dropped the mystical barrier.

“Follow me.” She left the final armor for Bennet to use if he so chose. “We are going to the one that is closest.”

Chapter 2: Age of Inhumans

Peggy followed after Rien. This was to easy. She felt like they were heading into a trap. She kept it to herself. She kept constantly looking around for danger. Upon arrival in Central Park you could see it looked more like a wasteland than the beautiful park it once was. As soon as they were in the middle of what used to be the lake the ground opened up beneath them. They fell down.

When Peggy looked up she had a gun in her face. She looked past the gun to the person pointing it at her. “Steve!” Steve looked puzzled. “We are from another universe. We were sent her to help.” She stood up. She was taller than Steve. “The one in the Iron Man armor is a Mutant known as Rien. The one in the hazmat suit is a Mutant known as Bennet. Is it safe down here for for Mutants?” Steve holstered his gun and indicated for the rest to do the same. “The Terrigen that killed of all the mutants dissipated months ago. So I take it on your Earth something happened and you were forced to step up to become the Super Soldier in my place Peggy.” Peggy put her arms around Steve. “It’s good to see you Steve, even if you aren’t mine.”

Steve led them to the central chamber and into their interrogation room. “The only surving Avengers are Yellow Jacket, Wasp, Hulk, & Captain Marvel. Tony retired from active duty after he was paralyzed. The rest are dead. No one knows what happened to Thor he returned home and has never been seen since. Tony can walk using the lower half of his armor but he can’t fight anymore. He’ll want to see you Rien even if you are not the one he knows. Wait here Tony will come by shortly.” Steve left to go get Tony.

Chapter 2: Age of Inhumans

Bennet had no frame of reference for how any of this should actually look, but he'd seen war torn countries before, had participated in destroying cities personally. The conquerors of this world wouldn't have much to stand on when they were done, not much more than a pile of ashes.

When they fell, Bennet was quick to react and try to arrest their fall, cushioning their drop into the unknown with his telekinesis. "Watch it..." he says as he prevents them from being hurt on the ground beneath them. When Rogers appeared, he noticed that there was some sort of familiarity between the two, at least that both sides of the situation knew each other in their own worlds. As new as he was to all of this, Bennet didn't even know who Captain America was.

Chapter 2: Age of Inhumans

While Peggy and Steve were talking Rien ran some scans. “This armor grants me access to all Stark Tech. I tapped into his satelliites. Not as many as I would have thought, evidence some were destroyed. Anyway, I was able to confirm what Steven said is true, the atsmospehere is no longer harmful to mutants.” Rien got of of the armor.

She hadn’t been out of the armor for more than a minute or two when a very emotional Tony came into the room hugging her. “I’ve missed you so much.” Before he could say more Rien pushed Tony off of her. She knew the pain he was in, was going to be in, so she was gentle, well as gentle as she could be. “I am not the Rien you knew. I am sorry for your loss.” Tony wiped his eyes. “Steve told me.” He sat down on a chair. “If you are here to help retake the planet, you are to late. The Earth will not be able to support life for much longer. Human population is down to a mere handful from the best my satellites can tell the humans in this base are all that is left. The Inhumans have won. The planet is theirs. It’s been months since we seen one. We built a ship it had thousands on it and the best stealth tech I could build and the Inhumans destroyed it like it was nothing. First shot. Our only chance of survival is on another world or another universe. We don’t have the technology to build another ship, not that we could defend it. We don’t have the technology to build an interdimensional portal.”

“I can’t guarantee our boss will agree to help in that way. We don’t know him that well yet. We can ask. I can help you personally. Take me to your medical facilities.” Rien and Tony left.

Chapter 2: Age of Inhumans

Right after Tony left Steve came back. He motioned them to follow him. They entered the command center. Peggy recognized it right away as the command center of a Helicarrier. “Doubtlessly Tony has told you the human race is all but extinct. We are currently planning several scenarios to strike and descive and final blow to the Inhumans. Hopefully do to them what they did to us. Not something I would codone but with no future to look forward to and nothing but starving to death as the best possible way to die, the unthinkable is becoming palatable.”

Peggy slammed her fist on a table. “Absolutely not. When the end is nigh and you are desperate is when you cling to your principles the most dearly. Mass murder no matter the circumstance is never palatable no matter the situation.” She walks over to Captain America’s broken shield hanging on the wall. She throws it to him as well as a flash drive. “Tell Tony to fix your shield using the plans on that drive.” Steve looked at the drive it said Arc Shield. “Recall every one of Tony’s armors. Turn them into Humanity’s Shield.” She turned to Bennet. “Do whatever you can to help. Help in the medical facilities, distribute food, whatever they need. If the Inhumans attack give them hell. Take no prisoners. Follow any battlefield commands Steve gives you. I am going to get them off this dying world whether the Timebroker agrees or not.” She then used her Tallus to leave.

Chapter 2: Age of Inhumans

Abruptly, a young man was present.

..."Young" was relative, of course.  His clothes and technology hid him a bit, but as the atmosphere was safe, at least the hood or helmet covering his face retracted.

"Uh, hi," he said.  "I'm Blackeye.  And this is Earth?  Woah.  It's been a while."

Lights flickered on his collar as sensors analyzed the area he was in; his black eye, in turn, glittered and glowed throughout the golden veins without it.

"So, Earth.  Avengers.  Something about Inhumans.  And, well, did I hear a proposal for mutual annihilation as the next move?  That... that's a lot to go with.  Can we consider a different plan here?"

He was disoriented from all the abrupt changes in his situation, but there ought to be a better way.  And if he could stop the Earth from being destroyed this time... well, that would be good, too.

Kind of like closure.

"We can't really just move all these people from one reality to another," he said, admitting to himself that he sounded just a teensie bit calloused with that statement, but it was true to him. In his timeline, they couldn't simply go into the Holy Land and remove his people and bring them back to Europe. They had to be saved and then given the ability to protect themselves. "I understand their survival is dim, here, but where do we draw the line?" A new arrival didn't concern him much seeing as he hadn't figure out how many people were actually down here, but this one didn't really seem to belong.

The Timebroker was listening to the others as they progressed. When Peggy walked up to him he was already devising a strategy. Before Peggy could speak he spoke. "I already know why you are here. I am already working on a plan for them. They have a couple of allies that have lost communication with, I am trying to contact them." He pointed to a device that was lit up. "Take that and go back. You should be able to contact Asgard and reach Thor. Contacting Asgard from here is impossible. It should look familiar. It is designed to briefly fool Asgard into answering. Don't use it like the original it will break very easily. The other ally I can contact myself with some difficulty."

Chapter 2: Age of Inhumans

In the medical bay, Tony was laying down on a cot while Rien was sitting behind him donating blood. "That should do it. You should be feeling the effects already." The toes on Tony's left food began to wiggle. Within moments Tony was feeling well enough to stand on his own. "Thank you d..." He cut himself off before he called her his pet name for his Rien.

Rien and Tony walked in with the others right after Peggy asked for her energy shield back. Steve turned to Tony. "Your armors from all over the world are on their way as Peggy requested. They will be here shortly." Tony got into the armor Rien brought. "How many are in decent enough shape to fight?" He asked himself. He looked over the readout on the armor. "Vast majority of them are not in fighting shape but I could cobble parts from numerous armors into armors that can fight." He wasn't talking to anyone but himself.

"Best to leave Tony be when he gets like this. I uploaded the plans to the Arc Shield should Tony not have a spare Arc Reactor I'll have Tony work on it."

A message showed up on the holoprojector. "This is Majestrix Lilandra of the Shi'ar Empire. A fleet is on the way with some familiar faces." The image changed from Majestrix Lilandra to the X-Men. It then changed back to Majestrix Lilandra. "We also have the technology to revitalize your world. We have been trying to contact you for months. Peggy took the Energy Shield Emitter back. "Thank you." Turning to address the other Exiles. "I don't who this Majestrix Lilandra is but if Earth which includes its moon has signed on to a Geneva Conventions style agreement with the Shi'ar we must abide by the dictates of the Shi'ar Conventions. If we don't we can and will be held accountable to it just like we can and will be held accountable to the laws of any foreign country we visit in our home universe."

She turned to the Avengers. "Do you have a copy of the Shi'ar Conventions? If so can I see it?" Steve and Tony both shrugged. "Never heard of it before." They both said in unison. "This could be bad. Is it possible these X-Men signed on to it without the permission of anyone?" Tony never really had any dealings with mutants before. There was his late wife, Rien. Then there was Quake who was a S.H.I.E.L.D. operative everyone thought was a mutant but turned out to be an Inhuman who was executed as an Inhuman traitor for siding with the humans. Steve on the other hand had extensive dealing with them. "It is very possible. Especially since the X-Men disappeared right around the same time as the Terrigensis Mist enveloped the world. Since the world wasn't completely covered all at once they could have left for help before their facilities were enveloped." Peggy facepalmed. "Just great. So you are completely at the mercy of whatever the X-Men negotiated."

Outside the sound of explosions and thunder erupted sounding the arrival of Thor, Lady Sif, and the Warriors Three. "What the hell was that?" Peggy asked half afraid to know the truth. Steve and Tony looked overjoyed. "That would be Thor." Tony interrupted Steve. "His arrival better not have fucked up my Armors out there." The Avengers started heading for the surface. Steve motioned for the Exiles to come along.

Rien saw the arrival of the Asgardians on a monitor. It was a sight to behold. Considering how loud it was inside this bunker she was glad the monitor's volume was off. She followed the Avengers outside. She watched as the Avengers filled in Thor on everything that had been happening.

Rien overheard, impossible not really with how loud Thor was boasting. "Whatever these Shi'ar Conventions they will suffer at the hands of the Asgardians if they dare break the treaty with Asgard." Rien had a suspicion this was going to end up in all-out warfare between all parties involved. She pulled the others to the side and spoke in hushed tones. "This is going to get way worse before this is over. We may want to consider evacuating anyone who can't fight out of this universe. The Asgardians are preparing to fight the Inhumans & Shi'ar. The planet may be on verge of being inhospitable to all life. This war may make it so the planet doesn't exist anymore. Their relationship in my universe didn't extend beyond the X-Men and select allies. They didn't care about ordinary humans at all."

Chapter 2: Age of Inhumans

"I agree Blackeye. For all, we know they plan to take the leadership of the Inhumans and hold them for trial. If they wanted to wipe out the Inhuman base on the Moon what would you have us do? Nobody here has the power to stop them. The Asgardians could but it would take time and a fleet of Shi'ar ships could wipe out the Inhuman base in seconds. The Shi'ar are in control of this situation. Until we know what the Shi'ar intend to do the best we can do is hope for the best and plan for the worst. The worst is Shi'ar killing every non-mutant which they believe to be everyone on Earth and everyone on the Moon. Rien go gather everyone who isn't a fighter somewhere and if comes to it evacuate them to the Panoptichron. Blackeye and Bennet, we will stay with the Avengers."

As they return to Avengers they could overhear Steve trying to reestablish contact with the Shi'ar. Tony was working on Steve's shield transforming it into an Ark Shield. Steve hit the council. "Shi'ar refuses to answer."

A couple of hours later...

Tony threw the shield to Steve. Tony then pointed to a table with several gauntlets from his armor. "If anyone wants there are some gauntlets from decrepit armors. They won't last long without the full armor powering them but you'll get a few shots out of them. Can't tell you exactly how many." Tony went to Thor with a map. "Go there. It's an old project of mine. Never could get it running because it required too much power but you could power. You'll only get one shot, powering it like that will fry all the circuitry. So don't power it up because that will cause it to fire instantly. Hopefully, one shot will be all we need." Thor took off for the repulsor cannon. Three Iron Man armors followed.

Chapter 2: Age of Inhumans

"I'm pretty well-armed," said Blackeye.  This wasn't a great situation-- they were supposed to help the resistance, but what if the Shi'Ar were going to just wipe out the planet?  He could talk to them, of course.  He knew their language; that might help.  But they'd been sent here on the assumption that they could help, somehow, and just a few more people that could fight wasn't going to be much...

Oh.  Oh, yes.  There was one thing he could do, and it might be key.

"Hey, I can do more with the tech," he said.  "I can take control of technology I'm touching.  I can fix alien tech, too-- I know how to fix or control Shi'Ar stuff.  I could probably do the same thing to Inhuman tech, but I've never tried.  I can handle lots of other tech, too-- Skrull, Badoon, Kree, whatever.  Tony, no offense, but your stuff wouldn't be a problem at all.  I'm a good space pilot; I could get to an ship or whatever if I can get a fighter or something to get close, and then start to reprogram it.  If the Shi'Ar turn hostile, I can do something about it.  So, what have we got that I can work with?"

Chapter 2: Age of Inhumans

Tony was offended and insulted but he put it aside. "I have armors specializing in stealth and armors specializing in space flight we could combine the elements into a single armor. Once I recharge my nanotech suit I will have one capable of being modified on the fly to suit any situation and I can control any armor with it. Blackeye follow me to my makeshift lab."

Steve invited the others to their training room.

Chapter 2: Age of Inhumans

Suddenly the alarms go off. "Scratch training. We'll prepare for any attacks. Tony, Blackeye work on your plan." Peggy was silently praying this was not going to turn disastrous.

Suddenly a broadcast of Majestrix Lilandra forcibly takes over all forms of communications on Earth and the Moon. "We came here originally to broker peace between humans & mutants under the terms of the Shi'ar Conventions. Now we are here to arrest the Inhumans responsible for genocide. They are wanted for intergalactic war crimes and will stand trial in front of the intergalactic war crimes tribunal on Xandar." Then  Richard Rider and Sam Alexander of the Nova Corps stepped into the field of view. Sam began reading off a list of the crimes. "If the Inhumans refuse to comply, the full weight of the Nova Corps will be brought down upon them. You have 24 hours to comply."

Peggy visibly sighed. "That went a heck of a lot better than I was expecting."

Chapter 2: Age of Inhumans

Before Rien could react to the broadcast the human Nova Corpsmen and the X-Men teleported into the base.

"Merde!" They appeared in front of her face. "Qu'est-ce que putain?"

"Sorry about that miss. I am Nova Prime, Richard Rider. This is my protege Sam Alexander. Lilandra has asked me to give you the good and bad news. The good news the Shi'ar are more than willing to terraform the planet to make it habitable for humans, mutants, & Inhumans who are not found guilty of war crimes. The bad news is that during the terraforming no one will be safe on the planet. During the terraforming process, the Shi'ar will provide a ship for you to live on. A member of every species will be able to oversee and be involved in every decision of the terraforming process. A member of the Nova Corps that doesn't come from Earth can be made available if so you choose."

Rien noticed Wolverine eyeing her. "I am not the Rien you know. My team and I are not of this universe." She could see Beast's eyes light up. She could tell he had lots of questions.

Chapter 2: Age of Inhumans

"...yeah, I'm not the Doug Ramsey you knew, either," said Blackeye.  "It's a weird universe-hopping thing.  Anyway, it looks like the Shi'Ar are being reasonable here; the Earth can be rehabilitated, and the punishment is going to be focused instead of general...

"...but the Inhumans might be unreasonable about this, so let's be ready to back up Lilandra if we have to."

Chapter 2: Age of Inhumans

Majestrix Lilandra began readying her forces to attack with five hours left in the deadline. With four hours left in the deadline, the ships began moving into place. With a half-hour left numerous cannons and three starships of Skrull origin uncloaked and began firing upon the Shi'ar ships wiping out half of them in seconds.

The flagship of the Shi'ar Empire and Majestrix Lilandra personnel flagship was one of the first to fall it crashed directly into Attilan the Inhuman city on the moon.

Lilandra began broadcasting a transmission to the Avengers base. Behind her, you can see fires. "The Inhumans have partnered with the Skrull..." The transmission cuts out. "My ship has crashed into the Inhuman..." An explosion could be heard and the transmission cut out for good.

Chapter 2: Age of Inhumans

Peggy watched in horror. "This has got to be the worst mission I have ever been on." She rubbed her temples. "If anyone has any ideas I am all ears."

Richard Rider was feeling pretty much the same way as Peggy. "Damn those Skrulls." He began communicating with the Nova Corps. "This is Nova Prime. Marshall every Nova Corpsman available to Earth's moon. Contact the Shi'ar. Their Majestrix is in dire straights. The treaty the Shi'ar have with the Kree will cause the Shi'ar to demand the Kree to participate. This will re-ignite the Kree-Skrull War. This is a class ten major clusterfuck situation."

Listening to the Nova Prime was not making Peggy feeling any better.

Richard hung up with the Nova Corps. "Under these circumstances, I am afraid the chances of Earth will not be a suitable planet for anyone to live on ever again. By the time this war is done the likelihood that Earth will still exist is minuscule to nonexistent. If the Shi'ar Empire is unwilling to take you in, then I as the leader of the Nova Empire will grant you full citizenship into the Nova Empire."

Sam interrupted. "Excuse me, Prime. The Shi'ar are requesting our aid as well as that of the X-Men and whoever else can help in finding and securing Majestrix Lilandra."

Chapter 2: Age of Inhumans

Rien wasn't expecting much good to happen on this mission after she saw the state of the planet but her expectations were still too high. What surprised her the most was the fact that the Shi'ar has a treaty with the Kree. In her universe, they are bitter enemies.

"If I am assuming correctly Lilandra's ship crashed into Attilan. If so then the city is open to the vacuum of space which means virtually everyone in the city is dead. If the ship has lost structural integrity then it too is open to the vacuum of space at least partially. We will need spacesuits or space capable Iron Man Suits."

"You are right." He pulled out several crystals and put them on a table. "These are Nova Stars they will grant you the powers of a Nova including the ability to breath in space." Every X-Men grabbed one. Rien grabbed one as well.

Chapter 2: Age of Inhumans

Blackeye didn't necessarily need one... but the Nova powers would be handy, no matter what, so he grabbed one.

"Wouldn't the Inhumans have some kind of backup in case of a dome breach?" he asked.  "It's pretty standard out there, to avoid exactly this kind of situation."

Chapter 2: Age of Inhumans

Peggy and the Avengers except for Tony all grabbed Nova Stars.

"Director Fury ensured S.H.I.E.L.D. & S.W.O.R.D. monitored every threat to the planet. He even had spies in Asgard and Atlantis. Even he was caught off guard. No one knew the Inhumans were there. He maintained his usual demeanor but I could tell he took it personally, he felt like a failure. He made it his personal mission to give us the best possible chance. Fury gave his life gathering over half the intelligence we have on the Inhumans. His primary focus was on ways to combat them on Earth. We didn't even know the name of their city until Miss Rien mentioned it." Steve's mentioning of Fury brought tears to many eyes in the room.

"In my universe, the Inhumans were on friendly terms with Earth but very little was known about them. The only time we ever saw them was on the rare occasion a new Inhuman went through their transformation on Earth. Then a representative of the Royal Family would come and take them away. A few times it caused incidents mostly in countries like China or North Korea."

Peggy put the Nova Star on her chest. Her uniform instantly transformed into the uniform of a Nova Corpsman.

Chapter 2: Age of Inhumans

Rien placed her Nova Star on the shoulder pauldron of her right arm. Her costume changed as well into that of a Nova Corpsman. The Avengers did the same as Peggy and Rien. A device of Tony's dinged. He went over to the device and stuck his arm into gold goo. The nanoparticles surrounded his body and formed his Iron Man armor.

Richard and Sam used their Supernova helmets ability to open hyperspace portals to the moon. "The Avengers will follow Sam. The others will follow me. Sam's team will start at the bow of Lilandra's ship. My team will start at the stern. We'll meet halfway through."

The Avengers followed Sam through his portal. Rien followed Peggy through their portal.

Blackeye did likewise, linking with the Nova technology as he went.  It was much more advanced, much more powerful... but so were the Phalanx.  He could manage this, at least for now.

Chapter 2: Age of Inhumans

Peggy stepped through the portal to the moon, the sound of battle could be heard all around. Richard blasted a hole in the side of the Shi'ar capital ship. "You three go inside. I'll ensure no one follows. If you need me I can be there in seconds."

Peggy entered with her shield and sword at the ready. "Be ready for anything. With Skrulls on the loose, anyone is a potential threat. If we get separated we are to treat each other as a threat." As soon as everyone was inside Richard sealed off the entrance he created.

"Blackeye tap into the computer systems our main priority is Majestrix but if we can rescue anyone along the way we will."

Chapter 2: Age of Inhumans

The first thing Rien did after entering the ship was to pry open a door. She discovered a golden-skinned member of the Imperial Guard regaining consciousness. Rien her up. "What the hell happened?" The golden-skinned woman stood up.

Rein grabbed the woman and helped her over to a seat. "The Skrulls surprised attacked your fleet. Your ship crashed into the Inhuman city on Earth's moon. While the Majestrix was communicating with us there was an explosion that took over the screen. We are here to help the Majestrix and anyone else we can."

The golden-skinned woman stood up. "The name's Heather you can call me Lifeguard. Follow me. I'll show you the quickest way to the Majestrix. Follow me." Rien quietly cast a spell on Lifeguard. She leaned towards Peggy and Blackeye and whispered. "Not a Skrull."
