Hikuru rubs Karl's back as they look through the photo album of all three kids.
"When you and the boys came into my life, you changed it forever. I was so worried that I wouldn't be able to be a mother to your boys, I didn't want to want them to think that I was replacing their mother I just wanted to be their for them. They called me Mama H I realized that they weren't my step sons they were real sons and that I loved them as much as I did if I had given birth to them. Thank you."

Karl smiled after a series of long French kisses and said "I was and still am beyond happy that we all bonded as a family unit, m'love. I am beyond happy that you fell head over heels with a lonely older man from a different culture and who had children and was very fortunate that her parents were tolerant for lack of a better word."

After some more talking Karl made Hikuru a peanut butter shake and then [gasp] folded the laundry except for the sheets which were done after a negotiation by K&H...

Karl then swore on a stack of Japanese books featuring pics and info about weapons which was a topic which interested the Forsters.

Karl then began to look through the pictures of Keiko when he sort of narrated "Then at seven our daughter's magnificent mind began to hit hyperdrive.. Ted, Kev, you and I had to learn what we could to support her. Then you turned into an even more wonderful mom when poor Keiko had her stress meltdown."

Hikuru,"Oh lord I will never forget that day. It was the day of her first monthly period. It was when she realized that she was actually a female and not a male by mistake and that she would one day be in a relationship and go through childbirth and grow old with her husband. Karl broke the silence "You are an amazing woman, Hikuru Merimuto. You had so much to do to chart your own course. You went from being a retired soldier to a housewife in no time flat. I loved seeing you being a tough as nails biotch one moment and the next being my beautiful, sexy and wonderful wife. And I can never forget you having to deal with our sons as well as you have when things like hormones cropped up."

It being the anniversary of Aaron's passing tommorow, Hikuru's parents,'the boys', and Keiko sent texts about that event... and Karl handed his wife a cheesy card mentioning love that he was happy she was a businesswoman, Aaron and the fact if he has to be straightjacketed he would be there for the Merimuto's visit.

[optional] Hikuru gave her hubby the evil eye when Karl tried to break tension by counting down via his fingers the seconds until the woman reacted to all the news ...

Hikuru was hugged at the very least ...

Hikuru gave Karl a look,"You're not saying you wouldn't have." She hugged him back then Gibbs'd the back of his head.
She got up and got dressed for the day,"Don't forget you have that meeting with Grant if the creek dont rise and you can get him away from that Zoe girl. Why on earth did he have to get involved with her and leave Caroline. He didn't know that he had a good thing until he lost it. E everytime I see them two together he looks miserable. All she does is do Yoga, teach Yoga and spend his money. And it was Caroline that taught school and worked at J.C. Penneys to put him through College to get his business degree and how does he repay her? Get involved with his secretary who doesn't know the first thing about typing. Poor Caroline."

Karl looks sad as H changed the subject and the sadness in the Newton family was mentioned.

Karl brightened a little "One ...  Two .. Sorry .. I lust after you .. Three ...Is there any word from the kids or Adam about anything .. Four .. I will see Grant as scheduled."

H was then given a long and tender kiss ....

Karl said "Five .. Is there any update to your itinerary today? I've decided to update said itinerary and I will be taking you to a formal dinner tonight [at one of H's fave places]. I'd like to see you wear that low cut dress you bought last week, beautiful. Dinner will be at seven. We will now need to coordinate any and all rides. Also did m'ladyship wish to go to a hotel for the night?"

"Oh no I haven't heard from Keiko and Adam, the boys came home around midnight from Karen Hutchins graduation party, so they are safely home. I was going to watch the weather channel to see the weather up in Houston to see if it was still storming down there and they are still stranded. Hopefully she will call me in a few minutes and let me know if they can make it back or not. And I would love for us to go out tonight, just me and my Prince Charming and we don't have to go to a Hotel we have our beautiful home here and the boys have another grad party but it's out of town, this time it's for Luke Gary. So unless Keiko comes home today we will have the house to ourselves...all by our naked selves." She gave Karl a kiss and gently pulled on his bottom lip when she pulled back and whispered,"I love you Karl Forster."

History lesson: At the age of twelve, Keiko had a phase where she wanted to 'fit in vocally' with the men in her family not to mention she got bullied for her accent. A therapist / vocal coach helped Keiko to get through this time in her life.

Every so often, when bored, Keiko watches hours of stuff and practices so she doesn't forget her lessons .

Today is one of those days ...Keiko set up a Zoom call with her parents.

The trio spoke for a few minutes and Keiko smirked "Ok, Mom .. dish .. I can tell when dad and you have a dinner date planned."

Keiko was sitting at the desk in the hotel room and was talking in the 'American accent' and a lowish voice ...

"Your father is being a sweetheart to me today. He remembered it is the anniversary of Aaron's death and wanted to do something sweet so we are going out to Villaggio del Vino and he wanted to go back to a Hotel and I declined on that. Your brothers are going to be gone all night so they won't be home...speaking of home...will you be home tonight? And now it's your turn..tell me all about what happened in the hotel last night after our Facebook conversation."

Keiko smiles "Gonna tell you everything .. some again ... We took the passengers to the airport where the plane was secured. We got food at a convenience store and we talked ... he asked questions .. I asked questions .... Food and alcohol and soda was had .. I told the tale of my scar .. he mentioned that he had had a few sad times out on his own. We discussed friendships .. he gave me friendly hugs ... we watched Food Network on cable then The Last Boy Scout on dvd and then we each slept on one half a bed because there was only the one was available .. and I wouldn't force a friend to lay on a floor. Adam was a perfect gent."

She looked down and frowned .. she said "Adam just texted  me '"we are stuck here another day due to heavy fog and another storm rolling in"'

She looked up "You and dad stay safe .. love you both."

She saw Adam move in her general direction ...

Mom listened to Keiko"You only got convenience store food? You didn't go out to eat for lunch or dinner? B
How did you do with the storm itself sweety?" Hikuru heard it storming there and a big clap of thunder hit and she saw Keiko jump and reach out for something.
Adam appeared instantly and put his arms around her and can be heard saying,"It's ok hon. It's just thunder, it can't hurt you. I'm here to protect you."

This made Hikuru smile,"Alright sweety I'm going to, good morning Adam, take care of my girl." Adam bent down. "Yes ma'am I promise I will."

"I love you KiKi bye." She ended the call.

Karl and Hikuru kiss then hug then batten down hatches and put vehicles away.

Hikuru checks on sons and parents .... and Grant was checked on and offered a bed ..

Keiko calls about the real meal she and Adam had

Karl sat his wife down on the bed "I guess we'll dine out another day. We should finish off some of the leftovers today ..."

Hikuru was kissed, hugged and a massage was begun ...

"We have some of the Lasagna I made in there and there that beef stew we can eat too. I dont know if the boys are going to the Grad party or not but they probably are, you know them, they get in the big Escalade and go on down the hill. Keiko and Adam are stuck in Houston because it's pretty bad down there. So I'm all yours... regardless. Oh this massage is so needed. Oh did I tell you that I was offered a job by the Frazzel Company?"

In reply to Hikuru Forster (msg # 41):

Karl thought for a moment then said "That's great and what is the Frazzel Company and what position did you apply for?"

Karl didn't ask if H was investigating someone or something.

"They are the major oil company in Tyler. And I applied for Chief Fincisl Officer. But the President of the company himself called me and told me that he would rather me be is VP instead. I told him that I would have to think about it and talk to you about it and would get back to him in a couple of days."

 She looked at Karl,"So what do you think?"

Karl thought and then said "I'm not sure I like you being asked to take that VP role for some reason. The paranoia in me wants to ask the Moriaritys for an opinion

"What? Do you think that I am capable to help run a company that big? I ran my father's company for him for three years and his company ran Japan and parts of China. Do you think that my resume is bupkis? Maybe he saw my resume and thought...why is she applying for CFO when she has the knowledge to run this place, I'll make her VP of this place."
She looked at Karl with a hurt expression on her face.

Karl looked dejected "No my dear .. you wanting the CFO job and them offering the VP job sent my brain off on a random tangent and got me suspicious of something. You look sexy when you're pissed then again I always think you are a very sexy woman.. one who has cared for five children if you include me."

Karl smiled then traced his left hand over H's left cheek and then her lips or tried to ..

Hikuru was trying to be mad at Karl but he was making her smile,"Stop now" she play swatted at him.
"Stop your going to get lipstick on your fingers."  She started laughing.
"I can never be mad at you. Asshole." She gave him a big wet kiss. Then said,"Ok good because I really want this job. I'm not ready for empty nest syndrome. Even if all our kids still live at home and all in their 20's." She had to laugh at this.
"I'll call Kyle and let him know. And FYI I already called David Moriarty about it and he vouched for him, he has been looking for a VP since his daughter got married and left the company 4 months ago." She smiled at Karl, "See you are married to a smart cookie."

Karl smiled at H and said nothing as he was interrupted .. as scratching was heard at the door...

Hikuru let in Kiki's current overlord and the male maine coon sat and gave his slave a dirty look ...

When H tried to pet Fujioma, he ran under the bed ...

Karl laughed and said in "So ... foodage with ice tea, snuggling and some intimacy sound good?"

"Oh that sounds great I want to watch Discovery plus all day while we eat drink some tea and snuggle,and some fooling around hmm that can be arranged. Definitely can be arranged."
She sat on the bed with her cell and a business call,"Let me call Kyle real quick and tell him the news. I was going to do it earlier and Kev woke up hungry and wanted one of my killer sandwiches and I had to make one for Ted too. So let me do it real quick."

She pushed the buttons and started talking after about 15 minutes she laughed and said bye.

"Ok it's all set. I am in and I meat the board tomorrow at 10. Now let's veg."
"You're in charge of spoiling me today, I spoil everyone in this house so it's my turn to be spoiled. And to start I'm getting out of these clothes and putting on my comfy house dress."

And she did just that...
