At 3:37, Karl woke up Hikuru gently with a long and tender kiss.

Karl spoke in [Standard] Japanese "Before you mention my insatiable need for intercourse at horrible hours .. our daughter, Adam Newman and a few others had an altercation at the Newman ranch. Everyone is safe and we will be able to see the film of the event later this morning. I have not called for a driver so we can go over to the Newman's place. They do not know the overall reason for the attack if there was one. We can go to the airfield or the Newman ranch when its light out."

Karl held Hikuru and risked a Gibbsing or worse by touching a G Spot of hers.

Alternately she may want to snuggle and or kiss OR call for a driver right then and there.

Karl said before the duo did 'anything' "I'll go tell Kev and Ted what happened first tho."

Karl yawned, got pjs, gave the 'boys' the news and went back to Hikuru.

Karl knocked on Ted's door normally and entered the room when told to come in ...

Karl yawned and then said " Keiko and everyone else are fine ... we will be going to see her at ... very soon ... I left Hikuru before a time to leave was discussed.'

Karl handed Ted Adam's phone no and address ...

"Trouble at who's Ranch? Do I know this douche bag? No ok then why come tell me? Oh KiKi is there. Is she ok? Do we need to go get her? Because I will go right now, I just need to know where I'm going."
Ted took the number and addy from his pop and nodded his head, "Ok Pop just let me know if I need to leave any earlier."

"Oh my darling Emily. A poem ok I have one for you." He cleared his throat.

Karl knocked then entered Kev's room "Your sister was at Mr. Newman's son Adam's house visiting. There was a supernatural attack which was dealt with. Address is here in my hand. You and Ted can go to the address asap or wait until it gets light out. I'm not sure what Hikuru wants to do since there are no injuries and things are calm."

Karl went back and gave the wife a kiss.

Hikuru smiled at the kiss,"You tell the boys about what happened to their sister? I would go over now but hopefully they are trying to get some sleep, so we can just wait until a reasonable and decent time to call and then go over."

Hikuru set her alarm then curled up to Karl,"I love you sweetheart, goodnight"

Karl smiled at the wife and curled up with her. He gave Hikuru a very tender kiss and tried to see if she wanted to do more than hug and kiss at this hour.

He then said "Hikuru, m'love .. I don't tell you enough that I thank you for being a great wife and mother and you are sexy as hell."

Hiruku is lightly snoring...

Ted calls Keiko's cell...

At roughly the same time Keiko was microwaving the manicotti in Houston, Karl and Hikuru were sitting on a sofa in their bedroom.

They were sipping cold, sweet tea and watching the storm while snuggling.

Karl spoke in English "Ted and I were hanging up some of Keiko's costumes earlier. During a break we looked at pictures of Keiko's Academy days. Our daughter looked so smart in her formal uniform. I will never forget how you had to talk to her about how fearful her scar might look to insensitive folks and how she wanted all her extra body hair gone the day before graduating."

Karl smiled "And I looked lovingly at pics of you in your [Japan Air Self-Defense Force] uniform watching Keiko .... and Ted smirked in my direction."

Hikuru laid her head on her husband's shoulder.

"She did look very dapper in her dress blues. Oh I think she looked so much better than I did in her uniform than I did"

Karl brought up Keiko's scar Hikuru replied with,"Yes, she did have problems coping with having the scar. It took her some time and a few sessions with Dr Woodrow but I was so happy when she finally accepted herself as a person again. She knew she wasn't a monster anymore. I do owe that to Dr.Woodrow. She was there for our Keiko when she wouldn't accept help from anyone else. But now look at her. She is bright, beautiful, a mechanical genius, sweetest, kindest person, a good sister and  the most honorable daughter anyone could ask for."

In reply to Karl Forster (msg # 13):

Karl kissed the wife tenderly then said "So, our Keiko is likely having her first real date .. what are your thoughts?"

Karl then admired Hikuru's chest via the little light available and obviously wondered if she was interested in more sex tonight.

Hikuru wagged her finger,"Oh no she hasn't had a first date yet. Like I said she is honorable she will have hi ask permission if he can date our daughter first. And him doing that will show him Adam honorable man too." She would be glad when the electricity would come back on, this storm was a bad one, she is getting hot and doesn't want skin to skin touches.

She sighed,"No sweetheart it's to damn hot for anymore sex tonight."

Before Karl could comment... Hiruku's Facebook messenger went off, she leaned over and picked up her laptop and they began having a conversation with their daughter then with Adam...then she said a couple of things to Keiko in Japanese then the call ended and she logged off of Facebook then her laptop to save her battery.

She looked at Karl,"He is a very sweet young man and you did seem to get along with him when he came over for dinner the other night. And if they make each other happy then they should be together. I'll just put my friend Hoshana in Japan a little bit longer, you know just to see where this goes, but if it goes South her son, Kerioku, is a lawyer in L.A. and we can arrange for them to meet."

Hiruku is also known as a matchmaker...

Karl smiled and spoke in Japanese "Hikuru, dear ... if the relationship goes south we might not want to be ready so soon to suggest a new relationship."

Karl turned on a penlight, peeked under Hikuru's shirt and smiled "Twenty something years on and you are still very beautiful imho, Hikuru."

Karl ran his fingers over H's lips instead of kissing her ...

This made Hiruku giggle,"Oh Karl my love...you always know just what to say to turn me on. That's one of the reasons I fell in love with you."

Some time later we come back up to the couple laying on the bed with no clothes and no covers having just made love in the heat of a black out.

Hikuru said,"What you said earlier about if things go South in their relationship...she will have to move on...I'll give her some time to warm up to the idea but remember they don't call me a Match Maker for nothing."
She leaned over and gave Karl a kiss and got out of bed and slipped on her robe,"I'm going for a sandwich, I'll bring you back one too." She smiled and as she opened the door the electricity came back on.
"Oh thank goodness."
She went on to the kitchen leaving Karl in the bedroom by himself...

Karl said to his wife in Japanese before she exited "I'm going to strip the bed before you return and shower after. If you want we can watch a few episodes of one of those South Korean action shows on Netflix when we're relaxed ... and yes you can caustic comment on them."

Hikuru returned with sandwiches and a bottle of wine and 2 glasses on a cart. She sighed, she should have known he wouldn't put fresh sheets on the bed nor pick up the old ones.
She hurriedly out fresh sheets on the bed and remade it with the Summer blanket, fresh pillow cases as well. She grabbed a night gown and panties from her dresser and went to the hall and took a shower then dried off and got dressed, picking up the dirty clothes from the boys she put in the hamper and the dirty towels she put in the washing machine but didn't start yet. She entered the bedroom and shook her head, "he must have had to use the bathroom or had to call his mother to see if she is alright in the nursing home."

Karl strolled into the bedroom and had a photo album in his hands "Sorry, Hikuri .. got sidetracked by some of Keiko's pics from when she was four years old."

A memory of a four year old Keiko was that she was a GIRL and very into everything .. and took the rest of the family awhile to convince Keiko that dresses weren't the only choice of clothes that could be worn 365/24/7.

Hikuru laughed,"Yes I remember that. I loved her wearing dresses with her beautiful long hair that she would wear braided down her back but she insisted she had to wear them to bed too. That 4 year old was a stubborn little shit and refused to wear another dress after we convinced her she couldn't sleep in one until she became a freshman. And she was 5 and she cut all of that beautiful hair off. Giving the excuse if she can't wear dresses she doesn't need long hair. She takes after you being so stubborn." Hikuru held up a pillow to bock anything Karl may playfully throw at her for saying that comment. Everyone knew that Keiko was just like Hikuru.

In reply to Hikuru Forster (msg # 23):

When Keiko turned four, Hikuru and the 'kids' became a very tight family within the family ...

This was when Hikuru realized that she was truly the mother of three and Kev and Ted figured out that they were responsible for their mother and sister ...

This was when Karl's life was made slightly easier .. as the hole in his heart due to the loss of his first wife [Corrine] began to heal greatly....

Back in 2023 ... Karl thought of these facts then gave Hikuru a series of different kisses right after she touched his chest after calling him stubborn ..

He immediately said "And then Keiko grew up more and decided she was going to follow her brothers into the Air Force and proclaimed that short hair was safer to have."
