She laughed at the antics of her wife, While giggling !! As she said, " When have I ever been able to say no to you. Go ahead and get them. We got the money."

Sally spoke to the lady concerning the guitars.

The instruments would be delivered and paid for during breakfast tomorrow.

The duo exchanged tender kisses and hugs and then Sally said "I'd like to give our bff and her boytoy some small personal gifts soon. If you see anything you like, call my attention to it. Okay time to clean up any clutter and then its time for us to get our beauty sleep."

Loretta picked up her phone with a greasy hand and read the text, she is eating supposedly hot... Hot wings and she was loving them as she put extra hot sauce on them.
She wrote back, "You got it toots."

Olivia was looking through a catalog and looked confused, she didn't see any clutter because as usual Olivia has picked up after both of them.
Olivia, "Nodded yeah that dagum bag shouldn't be on that bed it should be with the rest of the luggage." She grinned then let out a yawn letting off the chain reaction of yawning and Sally yawned.

"Yeah I am kinda tired, I've had a full night and never had one like that before."

And we close out Saturday and open the curtain on Sunday morning ..

Sally had made sure to let Ollie and herself have all the sleep they needed ..

Sally yawned, signed Love you, sexy and then smiled at Ollie happily trying out her new toy.

The guitar seller was on her way ...

Loretta was busying herself with making breakfast while Fernando was watching the impromptu concert ..

Ollie finished a portion of “Money For Nothing” and took her bows as her audience clapped ...

Sally then approached her wife, held out a single pink rose in a thin vase and puckered up for a kiss which would be cherry flavored.

"So I heard we are traveling to the next town this afternoon and we will have off tonight so how about we dress up to the nines and get an Uber and we go to a nice restaurant for a nice romantic meal just the two of us. What do you think?"

Corrinne soon arrived with the guitars in tow ....

Ollie was offered first choice of instrument ,..

The ensemble had a second breakfast and Olllie carefully made her choice ...

When our duo were alone, Sally smiled at Ollie even more "I want to give Loretta a more personal gift."

Sally shrugged ...

Olivia thought for a minute then smiled,"When Lo-lo and I were Seniors we were in a pretty bad wreck... That's where I got the scar on my hip from the car door was imbedded into my hip, thanks to the truck that side swiped us on my side. It totalled his... Her car. When we got out of the hospital we were both in crutches, we went to the wreck yard to get all of our personal belongings out of the car and her Sax was missing. She could play a mean sax and was in first chair in the orchestra and played in the Jazz band too but her folks couldn't afford to get her another one and the school lended her one but it just wasn't the same for her. She lost her scholarship to Julliard (sp) and I left after high school and moved to Cali to become the famous actress I just knew I was going to be. But I digress. Get her an Alto Sax. I think she would love it. "

That day it was obvious that Loretta was missing playing her sax ...

During her break times she was playing a lot with the band's primary saxophonist ...

The next morning the Artik Rozes went to a music store in the next town which was owned by a friend of Corrinne's ...

Sally and Ollie managed to have Loretta try out soprano, alto, tenor and a baritone saxophones  because Sally was 'thinking of composing some sax pieces' and Sally had noted Loretta's interest ..

Before Lorretta knew it she owned four saxophones ...

Loretta was speechless and was in tears as she was presented with all of the saxes.
She picked each one up and played them like she was a professional and had never stopped playing.
"Thank you guys so much. I never thought that I would ever pick up another sax again... Not after I lost Roxy"... (Roxy was the name of the sax)

She smiled then said "Thanks for the thanks, Loretta. And I'm sorry you lost Roxy."

She smiled broadly at the instruments and touched them in turn "What are their names, Loretta?"

 Her favorite story as a child and Leroy is her dad's name.

After smiling at her bff ... Sally left her companions to ooh and ahh over the saxes ..

She smiled and then went over to look at some weathered guitar parts [neck, bridge, etc]...

Sally got distracted and started to hum Don Henley's 'All She Wants To Do Is Dance' ... this led to some other [original] hummed music ... and then some lyrics about a [random] dancing woman named Corrine.

Loretta and Fernando were then given quick tight hugs ...

Sally smiled at her mate and gave her a tight hug ... followed by a long and tender kiss ...

She broke the kiss and loosened her grip on Ollie then smiled broadly "I've been trying to force myself to write music too much this week. What I just came up with a few moments ago really loosened up my brain."

The store owner took this activity in stride and started to list off what Loretta may want to go along with her saxes [cleaning supplies, etc],...

Olivia walked around the store and in the corner a banjo caught her eye. She walked over and picked it up, it was powdered blue adjust beautiful. She remembered her father teaching her and her sister how to play on a few instruments, but her favorite was the banjo.
A salesman walked up behind her, "Can I help you with something?"
Olivia smiled and nodded her head, "Yes I want to buy this beautiful banjo."
The salesman looked Olivia up and down and said while taking the banjo out of her hands and placing it back on the stand, "It's quite expensive, we are asking $1,000 for it. So I'm quite sure that it is out of your price range."
Olivia looked at him and said, "Do you accept plastic or do you want cash?"
The irritated salesman looked at Olivia, "Ma'am I have already told you that it is quite expensive and it is out of your price range so please leave the store before I call security."
Olivia could feel herself about to be beligerant with this minimum wage jerk so she yelled out,"Loretta... Hold my hoops!" She done took her sandals off and started taking off her hoop earrings off when Loretta, Fernando and Sally arrived in the back of the store.

The friendly clerk had put all the [unpaid for] instruments in a cart at the front desk ..

Sally rounded the corner, looked concerned at Ollie then gave the male clerk a curious look because he dared to assume that Ollie would not be able to afford the banjo ....

Loretta held out a hand for Ollie's hoops.

Sally looked back over at the clerk with a perturbed look on her face, pointed at Ollie .. changed gears and asked the gent in a calm, low, professional tone "Excuse me sir ... Could you explain to me as to why you think that this woman cannot afford the banjo? You are taking a great risk to your personal reputation, your store's reputation and risk not adding a thousand dollars to your store's coffers if your accusation is untrue."

The sales clerk looked even more irritated that someone was butting in his conversation with this woman.
"Well not that it is any of your business but since you are making it your business... Just look at her... Look at how she is dressed."
By this time Olivia has taken her boots off and was barefooted and ready to fight the sales clerk.

He looked at Olivia, then rolled his eyes and Loretta grabbed Olivia by her arm and held her back.

"It is obvious by the way she is acting that she wouldn't have that amount of money on her and she wanted to pay cash." He laughed, "Yeah right she probably stole it and I don't want stolen money or even worse counterfeit money in the store so no she can't buy it. So if you would excuse me I am calling the authorities to pick up this vagrant and take her to jail."

Sally looked at the floor clerk then at one of the security guards.

She said to the guard "Unbelievable .. would you or another security guard bring the banjo that was the subject of this dispute to the front desk along with this clerk.?"

Sally angrily addressed the floor clerk "Feel free to call the police ... but I'd advise you to not do that as the witnesses to your tirade and any cctv footage will dispute your version of events. And as to whether or not this matter is my business or not  ... my name is Sally Anne McKnight and I am part of the band The Artik Rozes and we are in town for a few days or so. AND the woman you have accused of whatever is my lovely wife and band member."

The salesman turned white, he has tickets to get concert that very night, front row seating too.
"Oh Ms McKnight it was a honest mistake, please accept my heartfelt apologies. Here let me put this lovely one of a kind banjo in it's case for your lovely wife." He takes the banjo from the security guard and gently placed the banjo in it's case and snapped it. Closed then handed it to Olivia then took the price tag from the case.
"Let me ring this up for you good people real quick. I know you have your concert soon. I can't wait to see you perform. I have front row seats." He this is if he tells her this all will be forgiven.
He tried to ring up the banjo but the person on the cash register told him that he had the other items on the ticket and he would add it himself.
Olivia spoke up, "No I will pay for this myself, with my own money, and this salesman will ring me up... Whether he wants to or not.,"

Sally gave the floor clerk a brief, semi evil look ... and then her face was neutral...

After Ollie composed herself, Sally took her hand and then whispered "Love you my gorgeous wife."

The group walked up to the front desk and Ollie's order was rung up then Sally's was taken care of.

Sally added a few more small and cheap gifts to her order.

Soon the uber arrived and if Ollie was receptive she was given a hug [and a kiss if desired].

The uber then went to the hotel ..

When our duo were alone in the room [it was hours before the show], Sally looked at her mate ..

Sally smiled a little then said softly "Ollie, I'm going to try out one of my new axes tonight. And I'd like to see if we can fit your cool looking banjo in somewhere or we can enjoy a jam session during the day with you added the mix, m'love. I love you so much. What a day hunh? Uhm did you wanna play a duet now ... perhaps Rainbow Connection?"

Olivia grinned,"Oh wow that would be so cool but do you think the band would be ok with it? And hellz yeah we can do a practice sesh with just us I would love that. Just give me a couple of minutes to familiarize myself with Old Blue here."
Olivia took the banjo out of the case and began tuning it, plucking it until it was just right then when she was satisfied she put on the thumb pik, which is what is recommended for a banjo, and she began to play like a pro. You wouldn't think it had been almost 15 years since she played last.

Sally tenderly kissed Ollie then said "At the very least we can jam."

She played some youtube tutorials involving Rainbow Connection and electric guitar and / or banjo ...

After some actual jamming Ollie got a call from Maggie who wanted to meet up while the duo was on the road ...

When it was quiet again Sally entered the living area and placed some slightly
slightly cooled cocoa and snacks in reach of her and the duo.

Sally fed Ollie a German chocolate cookie .. and then ran her actual ring finger over Ollie's lips a few times ... and then signed I love you my sexy wife with her left hand .......

BTw .. among other qualities, Sally is semi-ambidextrous ...

Olivia smiled at Sally then kissed her hand, "When is mom meeting up with us?" Olivia got a reminder on her phone and pouted, "I know why she wants to meet up with us. Mom and Poppy's anniversary is this weekend. She doesn't want to be by herself."

Sally looked at Ollie "Random thought, m'love .. when you head back to Tyler ... Maggie can stay with me for a few weeks."

Olivia smiled, "Awww babe I think she would love that. Wait til you hear the lullaby song she use to sing to us girls before bed. Mom was well on her way to being a singer before she met Poppy. She had a recording contract with Sun Record Company, the same one Elvis used. She made a couple of records but she met Poppy and stopped touring to settle down."
Olivia looked through YouTube and found a song her mom sang and played it for her.
Once she finished she smiled,"I always wanted a voice like my mom. She always had a voice of an angel. I could never be so lucky. " She started laughing.
Then picked up her banjo and started playing it.

When the talking was over Sally called Maggie and asked if she wanted to tour Texas with her when Ollie went back to Tyler."

Maggie felt an overwhelming surge of excitement come over her as she had to clear her throat so she could answer.
"Yes I would love to go on tour with you when Livy is back home. So I'll just stay when I come out and visit this weekend?"
