Adam smiled,again he felt the same way.

"Fave flower, fave season, fave drink...alcohol and non-alcoholic. Fave clothing. Fave shoes. Fave holiday, do you like to cook? What is your fave meal to eat and cook? Hat or no hat?"

Keiko rattled off ... "No specific flower ... spring ... scotch .. lemonade ... clothes that don't allow folks to think I'm 16 .. I do prefer a tshirt or baseball jersey... and then I like surprising folks with the wearing of clothes that help me look 24."

She sipped a beer ... "Fave clothing that'll help me look older than 16 .. fave shoes .. comfortable ... fave holiday .. christmas .. I prefer the decor ... fave meal .. edible eating and chicken cooking .. I do look fetching in a hat."

She smirked.

she frowned as bright lightening was seen and thunder rolled ..

Just as the last bolt of lightning but the sky and it lit up, and the sound of the thunder as it roared through the sky the electricity flashed once...twice...third time and it stayed off.

The room was in total darkness except when the sky lit up after eachclap of thunder and lightning.
Adam's phone just happened to go off
It played:::I love the Rainy Nights by Eddie Rabbit.
He laughed and answered his phone,"Hello?  Yes, yes I thank you so much. I would be delighted to speak there. Send me the info to Adam's Aviation Hub." He gives the person the address then hung up and called front desk...after a few minutes he reached in his bag and pulled out 2 flashlights, handing one to Keiko he said,"Well the hotel down the street blew a fuse and we are part of the ripple effect."

Keiko turned on her flashlight and after a pitstop she returned to the bed and said "Where will you be speaking, for whom and about what topic will you pontificate about and will there be a fee be at least offered? Do you wear anything besides a jumpsuit? Fave meal?"

Thunder and lightening was then cause for Keiko to let her light 'soar' towards Adam ...

Keiko sighed "Sorry, I have very mild astrapophobia."

Keiko smiled and spoke in Japanese and if need be translated the words into English "It's okay, Adam ... no problems."

She then asked in one language [that Adam spoke / understood] "Is there any Italian food you haven't had for awhile?"

Adam handed his beer to Keiko, damn it's hard to say no to her.

" Hmmm let me think I haven't had manicotti and cannolis in such a long time." He laid down at the other Ed of the bed and started to move to the floor, having his flashlight on still, he opened the mini fridge and grabbed 3 sodas then closed it and snaked his body back on the bed and handed her one of the bottles,"Here ya go, if you drink some of that down I can give you some Jack if you like, or I can put some peanuts in it like a true Southerner likes." He laughed as he took a big drink of one bottle and poured some Jack in it then closed it and took a drink or the other bottle and poured a package of hot peanuts in that bottle then closed it.
"I like hot ones in my coke."

It was getting hot in the room,"Uhm it's getting hot as hell in here so I am taking off my shirt so just a fair warning." He took off his outer shirt then his Tshirt, when Keiko raised her flashlight she can see how well tanned and muscular that Adam is.

Keiko smiled "I'll stick to plain soda. Thank you. As for your need to go shirtless, it is indeed warm in here."

She took out a battery operated mini-fan from out of a bag and then turned it on... and handed another to Adam ....

And she seemed to barely notice buffed up Adam ..

She got texted and answered it ... She then relaxed against her pillows after checking her face via a pen light and a compact ...

She put away the stuff, smiled and then said "So what's next on our topics of conversations?"

"Hmmm let's see...oh do you like to go swimming? If so do you prefer a swimming pool? Lake or an Ocean?  Have you ever went swimming in the moonlight?" He almost asked if she ever went skinny dipping but then that's a big report to HR...ok so he's HR but she could sue him for sexual harassment so he opted not to ask that.
"Do you know how to surf or ski? Can you sew? Which do you prefer by hand or sewing machine? Can you do needle point? Crochet? Or knit? And am I weird to ask all of these weird questions? And be honest..."

Keiko rattled off "I swim .. usually in pools ... rarely do so in the moonlight ... I can surf but I rarely do .. I know how to snow and water ski ... I can sew .. usually use a machine .. I know how to knit, Crochet and needle point but I don't do any of those crafts often. And I don't mind being questioned. And I get that you are curious about a person who is related to your father's [army?] buddy and is or was honor bound to aid you."

Adam nodded his head then laid his head at the foot of the bed.
 Adam got a big smile and asked,"Ticklish?"

Keiko made faces and prolonged answering the 'Ticklish?' query.

This was in order to see if Adam could be made to look uncomfortable.

Keiko then soon answered with her jaw firmly set in a faux manner "I am a little ticklish or maybe I am not."

Adam nodded his head,"Ok well FYI I am very ticklish but I have 3 ribs that has been broken so if you ever decide to tickle me...just be careful with my left side." He couldn't help but smile.

"So anymore questions from you since I spent better most of an hour asking you all these...dating type questions."

Keiko smiled and said "Let's say I took the blatant hint that you wished to begin dating me. Let's then say I was okay with dating you ..... what would you do next after stopping hyperventilating?"

She poured out two stiff drinks, handed Adam one and sipped hers while cutely smiling....

Adam took the drink from Keiko and drank it all before continuing.

"Well I would start by asking you out properly. Like this...Keiko...I would be honored if you would accompany me out to eat at Myoto's Japanese Restaurant then go to the movies Saturday night."

He smiled at her feeling his heart beating so fast like it's going to jump out of his chest.

Keiko looked surprised at her hand then slowly and gingerly removed it.

She blushed and then put the hand back then haltingly said "Thank you for asking me out on a date, Adam. That sounds fun, I can get dressed and made up for the event ... "

Ann's ringtone was heard and she typed Hey, bossman .. the hubster and I want to know how you and Keiko are doing. I hope you are relaxed around her. I hope she is getting in a word or three edgewise. Oh, Adam ... try to not obsess about Keiko too much. I hope the rain hasn't put a damper on anyone's moods. And .. wow .. Terry just told me about Keiko's injury .. wow. And oh, I saw some cosplay she's done on her instagram ... perhaps you can stop chatting about airplanes and discuss other stuff. I'm not going to flat out give you her social media handles .. that's something for you to nervously ask her about unless you've found them already.

Keiko walked off and made something to snack on for the duo and then returned to the bed ...

Keiko smiled and said in a less halting manner when Adam was done texting ... "Perhaps you can give me hints as to what questions I should ask you about tomorrow."

Adam put the phone down and watched Keiko's silhouette as she went to make the two a snack, when she climbed back on the bed and asked for a hint of questions to ask him tomorrow he shook his head and said,"Oh no hints for you...I had to ask you questions about stuff I wanted to know...then if you want to know anything about me you have to come up with your own questions."

The lights started blinking then they stayed on...
Now Keiko can see Adams muscular chest and arms and can see just how cut he really is and can see the tat on his left upper bicep said Always Remember then gives a date.

Keiko neutrally looked Adam over then slowly said normally "In answer to your earlier question in part .. I don't mind if your queries are probing ... uhm I'll start with my queries .... with ... what is the significance of your tattoo?"

Adam's eyes grew sad for a moment.
"It is in memory of a buddy that was in the corp with me." He gave a half smile,"I did a tour in Afghanistan. The crew I was in was called The Mighty Warriors. We were the first that was called up front. We were on patrol and were attacked, and my buddy, his name was Paul Delano,  he ran into the line of fire like the rest of us and was shot down, but he didn't quit shooting the enemy. I ran out to get him and was shot in the lower back but I managed to get he and I out of the line of fire. We went into surgery. They weren't able to save him. They sent us home where I had to learn to walk again. But all us guys got together and got the same tat in honor of Paul."

Keiko smiled warmly and then excitedly said "Sorry about your friend, Adam and that you were injured... On that note .. My brothers and I entered the air force .. I only did training and a tour because my family all suggested that folks would take a 'Vogue model' less for granted if the military trained me and I didn't have to explain why I was so good at turning bolts."

Keiko "My squadron and I were on leave and they were drunkenly daring each other to get tattoos and .. me wanting to prove myself ... and I got one too. Only hitch was that the tattoo received was not chosen by the receiver. Lucky I got the quote I did." She rolled her eyes "If mom could have punished me, I would have been grounded for awhile. She partly stood down because my brothers got tats and she was remined of hers by dear old dad."

Adam laughed,"Your mom has a tat? Oh how funny. What does she have? So how many tats do you have? I have 3.  The one on my bicep, one on my lower torso and one on my left cheek." He grinned.

He excused himself,"I'm going to grab a shower before we lose electricity again."

Keiko and Adam take separate showers and when she returns to the bed she said "Both my mother and I have five tattoos each. Mother's main ones are kanji for female and warrior. Mine are a combo of the kanji for female and artisan, the one my back, one of an epee, a US Air Force symbol and one featuring a wrench crossed by a screwdriver."

Adam was called a few times.

Keiko put a portion of frozen manicotti into the microwave for Adam [which was bought at the store earlier] which he hadn't asked for.

Keiko soon smiled then walked over to Adam and presented the food to him as if by a waitress.

Keiko suddenly got a call from *the mom* who was caught up on the basics of today's events .. in English.

Keiko soon hung up the phone, looked over at Adam and put his food down on a towel.

Adam looked down at the towel. "Oh wow stuffed manicotti, it may not be fresh but it's still manicotti. Thank you so"  he dug in the convenience store bag and pulled out a plastic eating utensils along with napkins and started eating.

*Mmmm this is pretty good." He added a little salt from the salt and pepper package that is in the utensils package, then  continued eating.

He smiled at Keiko,"Want a bite? You will have to come over when I do Italian Night at The Ranch. It's an all Italian food party, and all the people in the party are assigned a meal to bring and we drink some Vino and listen to Dean Martin and other Italian Singers and dance and have a really good time. Maybe when we get back we..I can do this party and of course you are invited. So here have a bite "
