Edward was beaming with happiness.
Edward asked, "Usually you can't see the sex of the baby until your second trimester, baby just how far a long are you?"

Kathy smiled and looked into her beau's eyes and thought for a moment.

She then spoke "I am five weeks along, Edward. Sorry to confuse you, if I did. Phrased what I said oddly."

Edward nodded his head,"Ok so we have a few weeks to go. Unless Jeremy tells us when we tell them the good news when they come back from their vacay. He is the one that told us we were having a girl. I don't know how the boy does it but he talks to the fetus and that's how he finds out. It's the craziest thing. ' Edward laughed and drank a little more of his sparkling champagne.

The waiter came by," May I take your order?"

Edward looked at Kathy and said,"Remember no fish." Then said," I'll have the bone in Rib Eye medium rare, baked potato with sour cream, butter cheese and sweet tea. Babe? "

In reply to Edward James Burkett (msg # 231):

Kathy smiled at the waitress.

She said "Lucy, I would like an order of the Chicken Parmigiana on a bed of rice, a plain salad as in lettuce only and an extra order of fries. I would also like a ginger ale without ice."

Lucy left and Kathy smiled at Edward.

She then sipped her water ...

Edward drank on his tea then said, "Oh your parents are going to flip out when they hear the news. You know how they are with Betty's kids and you're daddy's little girl so your dad is going to spoil little he or sho rotten."

In reply to Edward James Burkett (msg # 233):

Kathy smirked "Not to mention our child will likely be spoiled rotten by his or her father."

Kathy then fed Edward a bread stick "You are a gorgeous man, Edward."

Edward batted his eyes and pretended to toss his hair back like a model.
"Don't hate me because I'm gorgeous." He started laughing and do did the waiter who brought dessert, "Sir your Death by Chocolate Cake that you ordered. With the special surprise in it."

 He quickly left after Edward gave him a death look.
Edward smiled as he looked at Kathy and handed her a fork. "Dig in."

In reply to Edward James Burkett (msg # 235):

Kathy smiled and began to slowly eat her snack and in a low voice "When are we going to officially tie the knot, m'love?"

She belched and said "Ooops."

Edward thought a minute then said, "How about in December? A week before Christmas we can go on a week long Honeymoon, then be back to celebrate Christmas with the family. And while we are on our honeymoon we can do our shopping in the different places that we visit. And I'm thinking going on a cruise so we go to different ports and do shopping there. We can Walk Through Puerto Vallarta & Elizabeth Taylor's Gringo Gulch, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, Dolphin Encounter For Kids & Lunch, Countryside & Tequila Tasting. You can't do the tasting but you can still be there. And there is so much more. And it will be on the famous Princess Cruise Lines. And yes I have been thinking about this. So what do you say? '

Kathy looked at Edward and smiled a little "That's a lot to fit in .. in a week. Sounds like a plan. We can try."

Edward was excited, "We can do it. We will just take it slow and easy and if you get tired I know they have scooters we can rent."

Kathy brightened up ...

She smiled "I'll try... slowly. Maybe we can go on holiday longer. Maybe after the cruise we can do something else."

Kathy ate a few bites of her dinner and then smiled at Edward ...

After they were through eating dessert was offered as well as coffee. Edward ordered a tiramisu and a cup of coffee and let Kathy order whatever she wanted.

Kathy sipped some water then ordered a bland desert.

She slightly smiled as she looked at Ed "I want to make love to you a little tonight."

Edward took Kathy's hand, "Just a little? I had planned on roses and non alcoholic pink champagne, chocolate covered strawberries, balloons and roses. Yes I'm a miracle worker. Then lay by the fireplace and hold each other, naked on the bear skin rug. Any of that sound good?"

Kathy smiled and then softly said "All of it sounds like a plan, Edward."

She held his hands in hers then grinned ....

Edward checked his phone calendar, "So when is your next doctor appointment? I want to make sure that I'm in town, that I'm not working and that I'm not at the new place working on it."

Kathy mentioned a time and date then smiled ...

She then smiled "What's on our agenda tomorrow? I don't have to work."

Edward looked at his calendar and smiled then showed Kathy what his calendar said, "One year Anniversary With Kathy. Take Her To Look At The House!"
He grinned, "That is what is planned for tomorrow. That is why I wanted us to go out tonight. Yo surprise you." He snapped his fingers and their songs started playing, he stood up and offered his hand to her, "May I have this dance?" This was the first song they danced to. (Bryan Adams Everything I Do)

Kathy joined Edward on the dance floor .....

At first she was very careful with her steps and then relaxed.

When the dance was over, the duo sat down and Kathy had another desert and a ginger ale.

Soon the duo were in the car ..

Kathy gave Edward a tender kiss and then said .. "I love you, darling ... I can't believe our home is almost ready and I'm pregnant."

Edward looked at the beautiful woman sitting next to him, the woman he is madly in love with, the woman that made him realize that it was ok if he fell in love again, at the woman he was going to marry and spend the rest of his life with... His Kathy and thanks to Janet for introducing them he was going to suggest something to her.

Kathy gave Edward a hand squeeze at the next stop light.

She then happily said "Eloise sent me some drawings of you and I a few moments ago."

Edward smiled, "Aww that was sweet of her." Edward looked at the picture.
"Oddly enough for a 2 year old she is pretty good. Hey Kath here's a wild and crazy thought. How about tomorrow... You and I go to the Justice of the Peace and get married on our anniversary? And when everyone is back home and settled then we can have a big reception at our new place. What do you say? Your folks can come and so can your sister and I can ask your brother Marty to be my best man. Just think about it, ok?"

With a soft voice and a neutral expression, Kathy said "I'd rather wait until the Bollands return and make sure we can physically invite a few more people to the event, Darling."

She then squeezed one of Edward's hands ...

Her lips formed a smile that Edward couldn't see as he was focused on driving ....

Edward let out a small sigh, "Yeah I guess you're right. The kids and the girls would never let me hear the end of it if we eloped and not give them the chance on throwing the lavish wedding that Janet and Myri plan on throwing for us and El had her heart on being the flower girl."

He pulled into the cottage...
