civie origins are welcome as well. basically, if it can be had on life path you are welcome to build it. there are any number of ways to ties the PCs together, and since it is a new game for us all to learn we might as well explore it all the right way.

i will try to post small sections about rules this week, some basics to start with like skills, combat, using coolness under fire stat, healing, etc. we all know that games do not translate from the table top to RPOL perfectly so we will do what we have to at times in order for the game to function well.

thanks.

oh, and XP accumulate by game session, we should do it weekly at the least, so somebody remind on fridays to give out XP. likewise the coolness under fire (CUF) stat increases based on exposure to combat each session so we should check that often too. at least after every combat scene, so remind me for that also.

a few characters have changed in recent hours, that is fine. names were changed in two cases as well. that, too, is fine. be content with your characters. what fun is it to be the evil, maniacal, devious, blood thirsty, and cruel GM with PCs no one is attached to.

You're right. I think that might be a left over from when I tested the Alpha Rules :)

I do really enjoy the CUF and stress rules; when things go badly, for any side, things REALLY go downhill fast. Most of our combats end with one of the two sides just bailing out instead of fighting things out.

Definitely. Since we wanted to try out a lot of the rules for the Alpha and Beta tests, we did Artillery (from mortars to howitzers), IFV and Tanks. Holy shit. When shells start to fall things get REAL intense.

THE IFV are beasts, but when you start to travel with them, they eat SO much gas.

I'll probably start a campaign proper with my home group; we're thinking of doing an M1A1 tank group, where every PC is basically one of the crew and they'll just be "post apo road tripping" through Poland in their tank.

It'll be like "The Man With No Name" but it's a Tank instead of Clint Eastwood :)
