Huzzah!

I have added FaeWitch, who is still pondering which character she would like to play most. But she is amongst you now!

So, timelines!

You will each be in a situation similar to the previous game. You will be lifted out of your timeline and taken... somewhere.

I recommend, for story putposes, that Zoe be somewhere post-Invasion, and pre-War Games. That way she can have already met the Brigadier. Likewise, I suggest the Brigadier be at a point after the Sea Devils, so he has a sizable chunk of his story behind him. Many memories and so forth, some of which may become relevant.

FaeWitch is wavering between River and Ace. I'd prefer River to be in the Stormcage, after all the Impossible Astronaut stuff plays out. Ace... post-Survival, pre-Gallifrey. It's still a really long time period to play with. Still with some of her youthful exuberance, and less cynical than she became in the Big Finish stories.

How do people feel about this? Zoe and the Brig will definitely be acquainted and friendly, which is something I am particularly liking!

That sounds fine to me. I'd probably lean towards before the Three Doctors as well.

It's a shame there's only one TV adventure anyway with both the Brigadier and Zoe - I think.

Yes, I would liked to have seen more of Zoe and the Brig together on screen, but I think their one experience together should give them enough respect for one another to make it workable!

And... everybody, welcome River Song!

Hello people! I am wavering and wonder about other players and how they feel on the subject. With the current setup, I am assured that Benny would work very well. But I do feel having an Ace along would ALSO be a very interesting mix. Then again, but Jo Grant and Sarah-Jane would be really great to work alongside the Brigadier. Does anybody have any feelings on what would really round the group out the most?

River! Hello! With River here, Benny does seem a tad superfluous.

I like Ace a lot, but I do wonder if her specialness is a bit... less special with River around.

If we're leaning towards another to bounce off the Brigadier, I would suggest Jo - I think he's going to be from a period of his history before he meets Sarah.

My only issue with the Brigadier and Zoe is my one resounding memory from the Invasion is the Brigadier implying all Zoe was good for was making a cup of tea. Post-Sea Devils Brigadier is possibly a little more enlightened; especially after Liz Shaw.

Heehee, good memory, Brigadier. Yes, good for a cup of tea. Just spend some time with her, see if she can make him see her differently. After all, She had her Doctor and Jamie taking his attention. And Zoe was a bit new at all these things. I think with a bit of infighting, they might come to respect one another. After all, where Sarah Jane was a true feminist in many ways, Zoe is just trying to find a space to fit, and knows she will.

Otherwise, I think Jo or Liz too. Ace always struck me as a spoiled girl. And truly, she would not get along with the stern Brig!

Well, I am here! Alas, there is no Sarah Jane thumbnail that I can see, so I am going for the best I can find.

Ace becomes a lot less of the girl and a much more adult and responsible character in the novels. It would have been nice to see it on screen. I think that was already starting to happen, when the show was cancelled.

I think post-Invasion, Zoe has more than proven herself to the Brigadier. After all, it is her remarkable work that destroys the Cybermen, and their attempt to invade Earth from space. Such stuff does tend to change the minds of people when it comes to their usefulness!

For this character, I'll be lifted from a time very shortly after the Five Doctors. I am hoping we'll all still get along. Sarah will certainly know the Brigadier, even if he does not know her. Let's see what the game brings!

Aaaanndddd I instantly fall into the Companion's role of asking the very obvious questions, so the viewers can have the plot explained to them!

I am very grateful for this! On the plus side, in hospital, I will have mostly nothing to do except write on the internet. *8-P

Hello people! Finest time travellers, all!

I have now had my surgery. It appears to have been a success so far, although biopsies are now needed to determine to what degree cancer has returned to ravage my organs.

I am being tended to by some of the most wonderful medical professionals I have ever met, and I have met a fair few down the years. They are supportive, kind, and very generous. And, amazingly for the NHS, the hospital food hasn't been at all bad so far!

I will keep everybody up to date as news breaks. I should be sent home on Monday, barring any complications. This also means my epidural will be removed, so I will be exposed to the full levels of pain. But so far, so good - it has all gone well up to this point, and I hope it will continue to do so from hereon in!

OOC: Temporal Grace

Hello peoples!

Sorry for that long pause. Although my surgery was a success, I started to have some complications, resulting in a great deal of pain. I was given the option of going back into hospital, which might have led to more surgery, but I opted not to, as I was advised by my brother (himself a doctor) that the problem would be unpleasant for a while, but was actually not unexpected in my condition, and it would pass without need for interference, if I just waited it out. He was perfectly correct, and I am now, finally, back in a physical and mental state where I really want to pick up and get this show on the road. I have a LOT of plot worked out, and I am pretty sure you will be presented with the fun and mystery which you have come to expect from my games so far.

I apologise for the long wait, but the good news is, I am free from nasty internal horrors, will not be requiring chemotherapy as the condition was not at all what was originally diagnosed, and barring fatigue, am well on the way to recovery.
