Combat!


As Alana tries to gently stop the fleeing car the thug in the driver's seat moves the vehicle trying to avoid the hampering obstacle but with no use as Alana moves like she is guessing every turn of the steering wheel. The thug in the copilot seat knows more persuasive measures must be taken so prepares a sub-machinegun to clear the path.

Crusader will shift to Rubber form as they approach the scene. He is not so dumb as to try to do this without his best "weapon" which is his body in rubber form. He attempted to locate the child within the car. His radar might get through if one or more windows are down (even a tiny bit) or if some other entry is possible.

He draws a knife and attempts to slash one of the tires.

Combat!

Hatfield finally spots the fleeing vehicle, mostly by noticing the vehicle's flying escort. "Couldn't jest move along, could we? Noooo! We gots to go and save this here world from itself."
He looks around and shouts, "HEY! If any of you'uns wants to save a little girl from eminent disaster, focus on me and let me work some magic!"
"As a reward ye'all'll get to see a hell of a trick"

Rather than wait to find out who helps, Hatfield focuses on the oncoming car and its flying guardian, preparing to bring the latter down with a useful spell.

Because Puck wasn't a front liner; he opted to lurk in Alloy's shadow, as the other most definitely seemed to be.

Puck will cast Magic Net* on Photon; casting it a second time should Proton dodge the first.   Should the first casting actually catch the target, Puck will then cast Carpet of Adhesion** to ensure that he'll stay out of the battle.


*Magic Net
Duration: 2 melee rounds per level of experience.
Saving Throw: Special. There is no save vs magic, but intended victims can try to dodge being snared by rolling a 16 or higher.

**Carpet of Adhesion
Duration: 10 melees (2 l/2 minutes) per level of experience.
Saving Throw: Special. If a successful saving throw vs magic is made. that player rolls 2D6 to see how many melee rounds it will take him to pull free. Those failing to make the saving throw are stuck for the entire duration of the spell. Effective even against giants, supernatural beings and robots.

Alloy sticks to his playbook. He flies directly toward Proton and aims a massive fist at the flying villains face!



19:37, Today: Alloy rolled 14 using 1d20+9.  To Hit w/ Punch.
19:38, Today: Alloy rolled 3 using 2d4.  Damage 2d4x10.

That will hit for 110sdc.

Proton sees the spell coming and attempts to dodge.

17:27, Today: Patricus rolled 19 using 1d20+2.  Proton dodges.

And the villain succeeds. Taking one of his actions.


The thug in the driver's seat tries to keep the control of the car.

17:46, Today: Patricus rolled 85 using 1d100.  Car control roll.

The thug fails to control the car.

The thug in the car shots to Alana a short burst through the windshield.

17:43, Today: Patricus rolled 20 using 1d20+1.  Short burst.

Alana has been shot!

20:06, Today: Patricus rolled 19 using 5d6.  Damage of short burst.

Takes damage for 19 points less to her SDC.

Puck could connect the spell where McCoy failed.

19:44, Today: Patricus rolled 19 using 1d20.  Proton ST to Carpet of Adhesion.

But the criminal can somehow save from the full effects of the spell.

19:48, Today: Patricus rolled 8 using 2d6.  Rounds to be free from Carpet of Adhesion.

And will be free in 8 rounds.

As Proton tries to face the new menace he feels a blow on his face (did not know what hit him). The punch takes was unmerciful and took a good deal of his capacity to endure more punishment. Proton is angry and his Radiation Powers start to manifest making his body glow in anger.

Alana swerves in an attempt to avoid the gunman, but still ends up with a few dents in one of the roadsters panels, far less threatening than one would expect from a largely plastic car.

Otherwise the roadster keeps pace with the other car.

Loose Cannon jumps from the flashy car and runs towards the immediate menace, the man with the gun and launches a Mind Bolt against him expending 12 ISP for damage.

Crusader stopped his jeep and put the emergency flashers on. He moved to the hood, letting his rubber body absorb the bullets without harming him. He will attack both driver and passenger with fists. He will continue attempting to pinpoint the little girl.

Paired Weapons, fists, split attack between the two men.

With the vehicle stopped, Hatfield slipped back towards the crowd of bystanders he hoped were there. As he reached the other people he spoke conversationally, "I kin pull that girl right out of that there car, but I need you'uns to help. If everyone that's willing would focus on freely giving me their energy, we'll jist open a doorway from right here to right there and deprive those miscreants of their hostage."


after calling out for the civilians to help, Hatfield is standing between them and the bullets ready to throw some protection their way if necessary
[Private to GM: I can't figure out how many 'actions' each round of this combat will have, but I'm thinking it will be at least three. So, Hatfield's next two actions will probably occur in the third 'action'. It take two actions to cast a spell, so there's no other way to divide Hatfield's actions that I can figure out.]

"I know this doesn't seem fair but you kidnapped a little girl shithead."

Hal leveled a Power Punch at Protons head.


18:55, Today: Alloy rolled 27 using 1d20+9.  To Hit w/ Power Punch.

18:57, Today: Alloy rolled 15 using 3d6.  Dmg w/ Power Punch 3d6x10+ 90.

Power Punch uses 2 Attacks.

That hits for 240 sdc(!)

Over the hood Crusader pushishes both thugs with powerful blows but although the targets have felt the power of justice, they still are concious enough to retaliate.

Driver and copilot have a new menace in fron of them: Crusader and will direct all their attacks towards him.

First thug attacks with a sub-machinegun.
20:29, Today: Patricus rolled 12 using 1d20+3.  Copilot burst of bullets.
20:31, Today: Patricus rolled 18 using 5d6.  Copilot burst of bullets damage.
Multiplied by 2 equal 36 points of damage.


Second thug attacks with a .38 gun. With an aimed shot.
20:38, Today: Patricus rolled 19 using 1d20+5.  Pilot aimed shot.
20:39, Today: Patricus rolled 12 using 3d6.  Pilot aimed shot damage.


Proton is looking very bad after the attack of Alloy. Then he starts speaking something in a language that is not English.

People at least one meter close or with special hearing abilities can listen Proton and unless you speak Russian you cannot understand what he is saying.

Combat!

Scarlet Wolf exits Crusader's car and makes her way over to the kidnappers car. She shrugs out of her over sized coat, revealing all four of her arms. Using the lower pair of them she tries to open the back passenger door. (if there is one, or just the passenger door if it's just a two door car.) As she's doing this, she keeps an eye on the battle going on with Alloy, Crusader and Proton. Hopefully she won't need to help and can focus on her part of the plan, getting the girl out and to safety.

Action : Open the car door if able.

Loose Cannon is determined to put out of the game the thugh that could potentially cause the most harm and directs a new Mind Bolt against the thug with the submachine-gun, again he uses 12 ISP points for the attack.
