Absolutely. This Shadow plane business already has some folks spooked, Greb included.

Re: [OOC] General chat 1

I think we'll be okay to it. We expect it to be creepy but are also expecting a fight. IC reasons like fearlessness, ignorance, and plain boredom are all valid for putting up a fight.

*Assuming it is small enough to fit into a very large hall that is. Wyverns and ogres are kind of a sensible limitation. Hordes really are worse than one or two bigguns

Re: [OOC] General chat 1

I am here and yes.

I think a small scarier combat may draw the party together and help build the game.

Also with the dice roller you never know what going to happen.
I once rolled bad in a superhero game only for DM to roll so bad as an counter I wiped the enemy out (oh and had revere happen as well).

Re: [OOC] General chat 1

Roll initiative.

13:41, Today: GM Karuoun, for the NPC Baddy, rolled 23 using 1d20+6.  Initiative - Baddy.

Since the fight is started, all actions will be resolved in initiative order (you don't have to post in order, but I'll resolve them in order.)

Also, Greb, there are plenty of shadow vines looping all the way to the floor that you can climb down.

Re: [OOC] General chat 1

I'm not sure of your marching order, so I've placed you close to the baddy.  You can specify your positions for starting and I'll adjust the map.

How high above the baddy is the ceiling? Death from Above isn't just a Mechwarrior concept.

70ft, but the vines make it so easy to move that you move double speed while traversing them

Are the shadow vines only attached to the columns, or are there some hanging from the ceiling?

Um. Not sure what that means. Does that mean a 3rd move action for Greb in Round 1?

Re: [OOC] General chat 1

http://www.d20pfsrd.com/gamema...ined-action-economy/

Unchained action economy, it's linked at the bottom of the player guide, along with other rules subsystems in use

quote:
Home >Gamemastering >Other Rule Systems >Unchained Rules >

Unchained Action Economy

The default action economy is intricate—full of exceptions, nonactions, and strange actions. This revised action economy streamlines the process of combat encounters. In many ways, it’s a more active system that allows lower-level characters more options in a round while slightly limiting how much higher-level characters can do during their turns.
In this system, a character can commit up to 3 acts on her turn; these can be committed individually as simple actions, or combined into advanced actions. When it’s not her turn, a character can take a single reaction per round. Iterative attacks have been discarded in this action economy. Instead, any character can make multiple attacks during her turn simply by taking multiple actions to do so.

If Greb made 3 move actions in Round 1 from his starting position, at double his move rate (60'), how far above the floor does he start round 2 at? He'd have reached the floor

Yup, he can chose any square within three squares of the column to start in for round 2.

Not totally sure but think I get +5.  So total 12+5 = 17.

Re: [OOC] General chat 1

Tidale Stromgurd rolled 32 using 1d20+14 (18 from die).  Fort save... Divine abilities of paladin are huge.

I feel like mine is so high it maybe should help other people. We all get our Cha Mod thrown on this right? I'm only a 28 if that doesn't stack with my Divine Grace.
