Yes, you got it right. Just remember that the item improves your AC by +1 as well as your saving throws. It’s helpful to notate that in the appropriate places on your sheet as well, so you don’t forget when the time comes to put those scores to the test.

Awesome.  I'll try to keep that in mind but I did note it on my sheet as well.  This week has been a bit crazy down here as well.  So busy with work, but at least my company is still doing so well.  I feel for all the people who lost work during this whole virus mess.

I lost a bit of work in the beginning, then a bit more as I made some career moves to better align with the person I’ve become. But ultimately I landed in a far healthier life/professional space for me. I certainly don’t take my journey for granted, because you’re right—many people don’t have it so good right now.

I got to hang out with some friends on Sunday, which was nice since I don’t really get out much these days, aside from work.

I hate having to work while entertaining guests at the same time. People exhaust me too much for all that! lol

Glad to hear that you at least got out for a bit.  I need to get out myself.  Finally going to be able to get out and see some friends this Friday.  Been cooped up with family for far too long.

I mean I hate it if I ever have to work while hosting visitors. I prefer to take time off if possible. Otherwise hosting family definitely feels like a second job, to me!

I’m bad. I usually want to escape after the second day cooped up with family. lol

Quick question about my cloak if you don't mind my queen.  I know it needs to be attuned, but I'm not sure quite how.  Could I study/inspect it when things calm down and I'm not on the run to learn more about it?  Or should I already know how to attune it and I just forgot already?

“Attuning” is a process that takes about 30 min to an hour and can typically be performed during brief downtime periods called “short rests.” It involves meditating with it, studying it, practicing maneuvers, etc.. At the end of the period, the item is soul-bonded to your character unless something happens to disrupt that bond, or if you try to attune more than three such items.

Because of the nature of the play by post format, I divide game phases between “Action Phase” and “Sacred Phase,” where downtime activities can be completed during the sacred phase.

You’re still in Sacred Phase, so we’ll say your cloak is attuned.

This is where the magic of the game starts to happen. This is where I, as DM, begin compiling the personality profile of my players and their in-game avatars, so to speak. It’s a fascinating process.

I had to work on Saturday, but we had a few friends over for a movie night afterwards. I tried to be productive on Sunday, but ended up resting for most of it. I didn’t realize how tired I was after the previous few days.

I was in the same boat Sunday and basically relaxed the day away.  It was super nice not to have anything to do for a change.  Was able to recharge the batteries which was nice.
