My character can definitely start in the USA, yeah - her stomping grounds being mostly the Western US and Northern Mexico.

And I can probably throw together a character sheet in fifteen minutes as soon as it's open. My posting name should probably be America Salazar.

I have a character description up, which should give you an idea of who Bodie is ... and how I propose her to fit in with this game.
As you will likely guess, Bodie is a very social/political woman ... and I hope that I can use that to help the game, and PC's.

I am absolutely happy to start anywhere in the world ... so America works for me just fine.
I am also very happy to work on any shared history or relationships, and begin the game as a team player.

So, I was wrong - it took about ten minutes to make my sheet. (Of course, I was working with a template.)

Anyway, Hi everyone. I'm America Salazar (just call me Amy if that's too much of a mouthful), a petty smuggler, which mostly means I used to run truckloads of cigarettes between the states and occasionally some drugs out of Mexico, It's a living.

I'm also Inari, goddess of (among other things) foxes. Socially apt (especially when it comes to the fine art of bullshit), not a bad fighter either, and with excellent problem solving skills. Can probably help anyone who needs stuff done discreetly.

Okay, I have officially let in everyone I plan to for at least the first stretch. Some of you are pretty far along with your characters in terms of background and stats. If everyone can get those to me over the weekend, great. If not then the goal to get the first IC threads up Wednesday night.

We need to hash out starting locales. Los Angeles looks to be hosting one or two already. If you have a preference let me know, ideally at least half of the threads will cover groups.

Also, as a sidebar, I built a basic random Godbound suggestion sheet in Excel and for some reason it loves the Word of Might and put it on nine of the ten trial runs. So my spreadsheet wants to crack your heads apparently.

I would suggest most of you having met at least one or two of the others, even if only electronically. Especially if you want to share locations and/or starting threads.

The Capitoline Wolf is finished. She is fluent in Latin, protective, and gifted in speech. I'd love to share a starting thread with others, and the Twins in particular might be interesting for her to interact with; I could also see America's fox connection as being neat with the contrast of the Wolf.

Questions:
- Please, did our characters just recently incarnate as these legendary figures? Or have we been so all our lives?
- Do we live in a world where 'supernatural' is acknowledged and accepted: and if so, how do the populous feel about it?

1) Recent. Some have been vaguely aware for a long time, even to exhibiting relatively minor abilities, but full manifestation is at most a month or two ago.

2) Awareness has been tapering upwards because of a few very flashy displays but it's only a week or so since the balance tipped to 'yeah, this is actually happening' in the national awareness. Public opinion is hugely split which has the government's stance changing day by day from unit to unit. Congress is deadlocked and no pertinent cases have made it to the Supreme Court yet, so States and their constituent units are going in all kinds of directions.

No one is sure what the exact number of supernatural beings in the US is but early estimates are between three and six hundred, making you slightly rarer than billionaires.
