Re: OOC

Are you saying that the filing cabinets can't devour people by wrapping them up in paper?

The DMV has Time, Fate, and Passion.

And the filing cabinets can but that's because they're remnant beasts.

Re: OOC

We were good, then they remembered that they also needed cash basis accounting to file the owner's taxes. That then had to be allocated by states where we have a tax locus. I've stitched together data from a dozen sources in a daisy chain of pivot tables, look ups, and conditionals that probably counts as a weak AI.

Bodie Queen:
As an Australia, I know our political processes are different from the American ones.
Please, I assume that the race for Mayor is an all or nothing deal.   You either win, and have the power; or you loose, and have no more 'leverage' to make the issues ones that matter to oneself.

Can you please explain, briefly, what she means by keeping her leverage.

Pursuant, please:
I know that at higher levels of American politics, Candidates have 'running partners', who will become their Vice- should they win the elections.
Is that true of the lower levels of politics:  namely, running for Mayor?

Down to the state typically, with the size of the city affecting whether there's a secondary figure. Sometimes they're just the top two. Sometimes it's supposed to be a Loyal Opposition thing.

Re: OOC

It literally varies across everything mentioned above. In some states every county might have a different structure.

San Francisco has a strong mayor and an elected council. Council makes laws, mayor administrates them and has some veto/approval powers. If the mayor is removed from office then one of the President of said Council gets the job until elections.

So I assume we'll run with that same process for L.A.?

There is no beta/Vice Mayor with the authority to step up if the Mayor is removed from office?

(just making sure I know the lay of the political land in the game; so I can plan)
