The road to Venancia

The road to the lone "city" in the Bouros Woods is well maintained. The citizens have apparently started a cobblestone project from the gates and have made progress to an area near the inn, stables and tavern. You can see the forge and blacksmithy a stones throw away from the stables, ironically the Smithy is called the Dragon's Claw.
Farther out near the treeline looms a wooden tower.

You don't know why you decided to meet Erroth Venni here shortly after the market closed for the day.

The road to Venancia

Lucia sighed as she took her heavy leather apron off and hung it on it's hook on the wall.  She untied the thong she used to keep her hair away from the fires and hot glass while she worked as she surveyed to workroom.

"Livi, Leti, I don't know when I'll be back.  I'm meeting up with Erroth.  Sweep up the shop and close everything down.  The stew should still be simmering fine so eat up if I'm not back by supper time."  She called out to her siblings before she cast Prestidigitation over herself to make herself more presentable.

"I'm not a toddler anymore, Lucia, stop calling be that!" was Livio's petulant response, even as he picked up the rag to start cleaning the workstation.

Lucia laughed, "If you were still a toddler, I'd be calling you Livito."  Her smile disappeared when Letizia grabbed the workshop broom instead of the one for the front sales room.  "You know the rules, Leti.  Livi is the apprentice, he cleans the back.  You clean the front."

Letizia pouted but switched brooms and started back through the door to the front of the shop.

Lucia picked up her pack and headed out the door.  She walked out of the market square and down the road leading out of town towards the wooden tower.

The road to Venancia

Geoffrey peeks through his window, noticing theirs less of a crowd. He tries to sneakily leave the house, well more like abandoned outhouse, and starts finding Erroth Venni. Though his approach isn't very inconspicuous, as he crawls on the floor in broad daylight in the middle of the road. If the muscular young man found a wall, he would use that wall to pretend to be a painting, doesn't matter if it has a window or doorway, long as it's a flat surface he'll pretend to be a painting.

The road to Venancia

Trudging along the road comes a bedraggled Glorandal. It's been a hard day of travel to get here by the time Erroth Venni requested in his obtuse and vague summons. Glorandal's library of grimoires and tomes contained in a traveling trunk, are suspended on his floating disk spell. He wanders over to the inn, hoping to get a room so he can settle in quickly before his scheduled meeting.

22:22, Today: Tappis Moonwhistle rolled 10 using 1d20+5 ((5)).

Tappis had found the whole idea of this invitation rather confusing. He didn't know the person, what they wanted, why they had reached out to him, why they were meeting here, why now, or...he didn't know much of anything at all, honestly. What he did know was that he was intrigued, and he simply couldn't get his mind off of it. Tappis was good at figuring people out, and when he couldn't do it, it bugged him.

A lot.

So here he was, waiting on Erroth Venni to show up, and to find out what in the world he was doing here.

The road to Venancia

You see flying plates and steins issue out of the tavern as a slight man dashes out pursued by a rather angry green skinned man.

"Erroth! Pay me back what you stole!" the man bellows as he runs after the newly named Erroth.

"Sorry, good chap you lost those dice throws and those card deals fair and square. It isn't my fault you spent all that coin." Erroth says as he dodges a grab attempt.

A dragonborn, the barmaid and a shifter look out of a rough hewn window.

Glorandal stops, one foot on the cobblestone steps to the inn and turns at the sudden commotion.
He takes in the strange scene. Removing his broad brimmed travelers hat, he wipes the sweat from his brow with his sleeve. Taking a few steps toward Erroth and the green skinned man he exclaims, "Erroth, is that you!? What in the 9 hells is going on!?"

Valaric quickly finished his daily Kata's, at his uncle Kiyoshi's martial academy. Benjiro Academy was a small but well respected school to learn about martial skills.

Once finished, he grabs his pack near the door after putting on his boots and heads to the meeting with Erroth. Why does he want to see me? I know of him but have never met him  personally yet. I guess I will know when I finally meet him.

08:49, Today: Valaric rolled 16 using 1d20+2.  Insight meeting.

Valaric moves quickly with practiced skill, his lean frame easily carrying the light weight of his light explorer pack. Visible armed with a katana and a tanto at his side, his upper body was covered in layers of clothes with a kimono shirt as the final layer.

Geoffrey, now including in his stealth arsenal a tiny tree branch which he puts on right in front of his face to make him look invisible to naked eye, hears the commotion and sneaks his way through. He then hears the word Erroth being referred to by a man leaving and causing a commotion. He moves right in front of him, throwing the tree branch to deactivate his disguise and shouts at the man,"Hey, your Erroth Venni right, who are you and how do you know where to find me? Talk or I'll punch your lights out."

Tappis stood silently, taking in the scene as it played out before him; entertained by the variety of reactions to the situation. There was plenty of time to get answers now that the man had shown up, but what happened from this point forward was going to be interesting.

He eyed the man, and his pursuer.

17:59, Today: Tappis Moonwhistle rolled 10,14 using d20+5,d20+3.  Insight, Perception.

Lucia raised an eyebrow at the strange man who seemed to think he was being super stealthy; even going so far as to hold a tree branch in front of his face.  She groaned as the strange man then verbally assaulted Venni.

"Lets not be hasty.  There is no need to threaten violence." she said calmly as she approached the confrontation.  She made sure to stay a bit back from them and be as nonthreatening as possible while at the same time getting out her solid glass orb in her left hand.

"Ah Glory was it? Just some misunderstanding between myself and a customer. After all, how was I supposed to know he was so bad at dice and then the three hands of cards he challenged me to?" Erroth said with an expression that said
"Who, me?"

"Me, be violent, but I solve my problems with violence!!" the large man replies to the lady with the orb. However he does calm down when she said that he was being hasty,"Fine, I won't resort to it unless I know what's going on." he says then looks toward Venni once more,"Yes, you, is their another Erroth Venni here." he responds to the strange gambler's question,"Why have you summoned Geoffrey, is it an arrest or is it a request?"

Glorandal realized there are others there too that seem to have the same interest in Erroth as he does and his mind starts putting the pieces together. "You we're all summoned as well?", then turning to Erroth "My name is Glorandal, you summoned me here, apparently just as you have these others." He says making a sweeping motion with his traveling hat to indicate everyone in the area. "Forget the cards, why have you called for us?"

"I have a proposition for you. One which might get me in good graces with the innkeep. His stables are infested with vermin of unusual size. If you can both clear the stables and stem the tide I'm sure Lady Luck will shine on us both and you'll receive some of my coin to boot." Erroth says as the brute almost snatches him.

"Enough of that! It is high time you took a nap!" he glares at the green-skinned brute and the hulking humanoid sways before falling over asleep.

Erroth steps over him.
"I'd almost think him cute if his antics hadn't cost me a pint." Then he turns to you.

"See you in the morrow, dreams call." With that he skips off into the night.

Glorandal, just stands there for a moment in shock. He throws his hat on the ground angrily and shouts after Erroth as he disappears into the night, "I came all this way, to play exterminator for a few ROUS!? I have pierced the veil of reality, seen and learned things that you can't even fathom and you think I have nothing better to do than bop a few field mice!?" Needless to say this vociferating continues for several minutes even after Erroth is nowhere to be seen, until Glorandal has worn himself hoarse.

He dispels his floating disc, the heavy trunk landing on the road with a thud, and he sits on it in the middle of the street, clearly depressed.

Geoffrey understand the magic mans frustration as the swindler disappears in the night,"Hmph, that person is troublesome. Alright, let's go take care of some vermin." he says, pulling out a greatsword,"Oi, magic man, let's follow that weirdly dressed swordsman. Sides that swindler won't tell us nothing til the job's done, plus we get paid so it's not a bad deal."

Glorandal looks up at the wall of muscle. "I suppose your right... I'm already here, might as well get something out of this." He takes off his travel cloak revealing a tall lean build in a loose tunic and trousers. He checks his crystal hung my a bronze chain around his neck. "Besides, how much trouble could a few vermin be?" He joins the large man and heads into the stables.
