The wind is knocked out of Ash as he is hit solidly, and in a moment of self-doubt, he feels reality beginning to slip through his fingers. Unable to find the string to lead him back to his reality, he takes a step back, trying to protect himself while he searches for the way.

The edeinos leaders lead their remaining minions into furious frenzies of clawing and biting fury against the heroes. As the scales fly, a pipe bursts, sending steam into the tunnel and temporarily distracting the Storm Knights.

(All damage suffered here can be Soaked, then the Setback that will be described below takes place.)

Even as the pack claws into him, Jacob fails to connect with the massive crystal arm as he swing it about.

OOC-both soak attempt and counter attack fail. I take 1 wound and 2 shock, then I regen 1 shock.

At the last moment, Johnny latches on to the reality where his armor was able to protect him fully from the edeinos onslaught.

Jacob growled, and smashed all three lizard people with the gaint crystal arm. The wound he had taken was hurting...sort of. He was fairly sure he could not bleed to death. He was not even sure he had blood anymore, but actually getting hurt was pissing him off.

Case feels a jolt as instinctively tries to claw back how he defines himself and then turns around to send a blast of fire at the pack leader he just disengaged from.
