The field had significantly thinned out, but he wouldn't feel safe until they were all gone. He almost wished he had that gun back now. Fortunately, they didn't seem all that bright, so a quick imitation of the sound of one of those dinosaur things should distract them. It did, but only briefly.

Case shrugs off his embarrassing attempt to impress JJ as he slightly alters his approach.  He shouts at the leader and then points the lizardman he killed, "You!  I'm going you Burn you just just like that one!"

With Case's outburst partially distracting the leader, JJ slips in to poke the edeinos to get the primitive to swing wildly her direction as she ducks and hopefully hit his minion.

Mission 1, Scene 4: Under and Over

Jonny takes a running leap at the remaining leader, bringing his shimmering katana down on its head, shaving off a piece of its skull. Not enough to kill it outright, but it definitely needs medical attention to survive much longer.

Johnny is left bent over and very vulnerable from the exertion.

The last leader falls. There is one minion left (Stymied and Vulnerable).

Jacob and Johnny both got cards for successful attack. Jacob had no other cards so the Action card he drew gets pooled (no reason not to). Johnny has his card but since he has options, he gets to choose what gets pooled.

Ivan and Ash can act, and there is one minion left to deal with.

Mission 1, Scene 4: Under and Over

With the path clear of hostiles, JJ waves the group into the basement of a National Guard outpost. She leads them into the infirmary. Sadly, no medical officials are there, but there are enough first aid kits to heal one Wound and all Shock damage off everyone who needs it. In addition, someone with First Aid skill can try to heal more wounds off someone who needs it by testing against that skill. Difficulty is 10 plus the total number of Wounds on the healer and the recipient.

"Hey, guys! Thanks for clearing that path for me. The good news is this place has an armory. The bad news is that we don't have actual soldiers here to defend this place, so it's just us and the others who are wounded. We were on our way to a weird tower when the plane was shot down. A horde of edeinos chased us into this place. Most of the weapons turned into knives, but there are still three M-16s around here, plus old Bart here." (lifting up the shotgun). "I know the rifles are more damaging, but my long-lost daddy (not dead, just lost) wielded one so I'm kinda partial to him.

"So, who are you fine saviors?"

Well, it looks like at least some of you can hold your own in a fight, even without guns, but if you want them, the dead soldiers won't object. I suppose I could do some piloting for you. Where's your plane?"

JJ notices that Ash and Case are seriously harmed. "Ash? From La Resistance? Good to see a familiar face! I thought that Host had killed you! If Quinn sent you, I should probably stay with you and see your mission through."

OOC from Gamemaster: JJ is now active as a Connection and she will be available for the rest of the adventure (which for you is getting to the boat and surviving the trip back to the carrier). She was part of the first group that tried to enter by plane and has been stuck here since it crashed, so she knows nothing about what has happened with you except what you tell her.

Jacob was checking out his wound and trying to hide it from the rest of the group. Sure enough, his own enhanced healing and the living land's energies where more than enough for it to heal. Once that was dealt with, he fixed his shirt and jacket to cover the rent in his clothing and flesh.

"Got anything from the Nile Empire? I most likely should stop lugging around this thing..." He gestured to the crystal arm he was carrying.

JJ looks at Case. "Oh, you have a boat? I suggested that as another entry point, but we weren't told about the flying lizard mounts, so we had a helicopter that transformed under us. I've done planes, boats and automobiles and want to do spacecraft eventually."

She then turned to the guy with the bandages over his face. "I'm sure I saw a standard pump action shotgun in the armory near the far wall, along with two 10-count boxes of shells. There's also a full 50-count drum of ammo for a Tommy gun, but I don't remember seeing the gun. Go ahead and look."

You can make a find test at DN 13, the monetary value of a Tommy gun. If you make it, you find one along with the ammo. If not, the shotgun is available along with 20 shots.

After passing over it once, Jacob realizes the Tommy gun he sought doesn't have the drum attached. He picks up the gun and heads over to where the shotgun is and takes the drum from there, attaching it cleanly.

The weapon will be added to the character sheet.

Ether Jacob is an amazing actor, or he totally belives what he is saying. Its hard to tell...

He seems to want to change the subject. Jacob is just not very subtle about it.
