Ivan shrugged. "Just grunt" was his contribution. "Let them fight. Although, why we fight wyvern and undead? Not mission, yes?"

"We also told the mayor we'd lend a hand to help out Copenhagen," Case supplies, "Undead vikings on wyverns probably would be a problem for them to handle and they aren't too far out of our way..."

"SA-4?" Case puzzles it out a moment and then guesses given the context, "You mean a rocket to shoot down a flying fantasy creature?"

The young man shrugs, "I don't know if the Copenhagen has any of those or even if they'll work properly against something made of flesh and bone.  We can't predict how they'll be used or where they'll attack.  But we have a some info of where they are now.  If we can take them out now, on the ground, we can remove them from the enemy before they can kill any of Copenhagen's defenders latter."

Ivan glanced down at his rifle, mentally comparing the size of its rounds to that of the huge creature that had passed over them. Probably not going to work. He would see about scoring an RPG or at least an RKG, whatever the others decided to do.

Ivan shrugged. "If say so. Stop at Legation along way, da?"

A few things to consider:

1. The Russian delegation here would be at an embassy. While it's technically Russian territory and can legally have whatever the Russian government puts there, protocol suggests only having whatever armaments are needed to defend the compound. Of course, Russia is known for "bending protocol" as needed, but bear in mind that anything sneaked in is likely small to avoid detection.

2. You are still on good terms with the Danish Army, so maybe Major Nielsen could get something powerful for you.

3. Regardless of how you want to go about it, remember there's an assassination attempt on the mayor tonight, so time is a concern.

In reply to Ivan Borovich (Headshot) (msg # 60):

"Oooh, I understand now," Case nods as he checks his phone for the time, "Though I don't think we have the time to stop buy to see if we can get some extra firepower, try to track down the wyverns, and then make it back in time to help protect the mayor."

He looks to Ivan and the others, "We can bend reality.  That's a bigger advantage than a few rockets.  If you don't think we can kill undead and a giant flying lizard or two without them, then we should probably see if we can get some for latter (since we might see them tonight anyway) but return to protect the mayor.  But either way I'd like to get moving now."

"So still good going to the North with the church cops to try to kill some undead vikings and wyverns?"

Copenhagen Scene 4: Exploring the Ruins

The church police, still bound, are shoved into the back of the van. The location marked by the bandit leader for the wyverns pops up on the GPS and you head there.

A few hundred meters from the destination, the wind shifts and brings an unpleasant surprise: Rotting, charred meat, soiled straw, and something reminiscent of corpse flowers assail your noses even through the closed windows of the van. You know it's going to be worse when you actually exit.

Everyone somehow manages to get out of the van without losing the contents of their stomachs. The camp and the cages you were told about are now empty.

OOC: People can investigate the campground using any of the following skills: evidence analysis, tracking, or faith. People using the same skill can instead use combined action for whichever one has the better value.

Case hops out of the van and immediately regrets it as his stomach decides after the jostling that it was the perfect moment to vacate its contents.  As he just about finishes up heaving, Case spots the usual number of human skulls but its the freshly burnt and cracked open femurs that starts up his technicolor yawn again.

Eventually he has nothing more to give as he straightens up trying to wipe his mouth.

A muffled cry comes from behind you. You turn around to see the Church Police officers getting dragged out of the van and devoured by a pack of five emaciated wolves made out of pure darkness. After mauling the officers into unconsciousness, the wolves look in the group's direction with hunger in their eyes and hatred in their souls.

Void's stomach turned uncomfortably when the door opened and she caught the smell of death and decay. "That is very unpleasant," she said as she stepped out of the vehicle with the others.

"Now what?" she asked before they heard the cry from the police officers and saw the wolves staring at them. "Oh...that's not good."

Ivan didn't know wolves from much. People he knew but fighting wolves was for Zeks in the Gulag. Well, for sure they weren't wearing body armor and he put a pulse into each of them, rolling smoothly from left to right across the pack.

Void didn't care for the look of the creatures attacking them nor did she like the smell and general atmosphere of this place so the sooner they were on the way the better. As such she decided to go on the offence and attack one of the wolves. She concentrated on one and let the full weight of existence fall on the creature.

Copenhagen Scene 4: Exploring the Ruins

Summary so far
Case distracts two wolves with a bone thrown past them.

Ivan fires, catching one of the distracted wolves in the blast as well as two others. The tricked one is wounded but still up. One of the other ones is vaporized, while the third is just grazed (2 shock).

Jacob blasts the other distracted wolf and tags it with a wound.

Void puts the weight of reality on the last wolf, fatiguing it and causing it to slow down.

Johnny can still act, and anyone who has not put a Destiny Card into the pool can do so.

Copenhagen Scene 4: Exploring the Ruins

The wolves see an opportunity to swarm Johnny, not realizing how talented he is at melee. They expect to maul him as they mauled the church police, but instead get a small advantage as Johnny's blade fends off most of their bites.

22:18, Today: Darkness Wolves rolled 8 using 1d20, rerolling max.  Pack attack on Johnny (+3 bonus).
Unarmed 12 + 3 combined action - 2 bonus = 13. Standard success vs. melee 12.

Damage 13 base + 3 pack tactics (adds combined action bonus to damage as well as hit total) = 16. 2 Shock vs. Armor 12.
