<Present Day>

Rael had been summoned to the Jedi Council chambers. As he approached, Master Zuma was already waiting for him outside the doors. “Ah, my old Padawan. How are you, friend?”
This message had punctuation tweaked by the GM at 01:27, Fri 02 June 2023.

"I am well," Rael said calmly, folding his hands in front of him.  "Eager to see the purpose of my summons."

“Excellent, then let us enter.”  And with that Master Zuma opened the doors to the Council Chambers. Inside was the diminutive Grand Master Oteg. “Good to see you it is.”  Master Oteg greeted in his unique diction. “A new mission we have for you.”  Master Oteg looked to Master Zuma.

“An old colleague of mine, a Jedi Historian named Lorik Feryss, reached out to me saying he had made an important discovery.” Master Zuma began to explain. “He needs a crew to meet him on Nar Shaddaa. He said he did not have time to give further details as he was being pursued by some questionable characters.”

“Never been to Nar Shaddaa have you,” Master Oteg pointed out. “Need some experienced guides you will.”

“I would like Daric Rae to accompany me,” Rael requested.

“A capable Jedi Knight he is,” Master Oteg consented. “A good choice that is.”

“You will also need a representative from the Republic,” Master Zuma said. “Alys is an agent for the Republic Strategic Information Service who is familiar with Nar Shaddaa. She may have other contacts as well.”

“Also someone with technical knowledge you should take, yes? Hm?” Master Oteg suggested.  “Arim, a chief engineer at an outpost on Hoth, he is.  Glad he will be to leave that frozen planet.”

“Do you have any questions about the mission?” Master Zuma asked.

"What was Lorik doing on Nar Shaddaa to begin with?  It seems an odd place for an historian."

"In some respects, yes," Master Zuma admitted. "But Nar Shaddaa is a hive of information. I don't know for sure the nature of his current research, but he has been searching for a particular holocron with information about an ancient battle."

"Any other questions?" Master Oteg asked in his gravelly voice.
