I feel the same as Andrea and hope this is inspiring ideas rather than smothering.

From the sounds of it, I think our GM is enjoying things. :)

Re: OOC Chat: A Quiet talk in a tavern

I am thinking it would make sense for Andrea to own a pistol as well as have access to guns if she went home (not that she'll do that tonight). I'm just wondering if that's acceptable or if there was some kind of something I needed to buy at character creation to make that legal.  I figure as a small town girl moving to a big city from the farm her dad ensured she had a gun. Sister too, probably.

She does have two dots in firearms.

I'm just guessing but Resources probably will come into play with that and even then, beyond a handgun is probably not happening.

not at first anyway, when you encounter the supernatural you can easily start buying such things.

Re: OOC Chat: A Quiet talk in a tavern

Night,

You are ok with her having a hand gun?

It wouldn't be because of the supernatural, but because her father, a traditional farming guy with a healthy suspicion of those who live in the big city insisted so that she could 'protect' herself.

Lol. Ok. That does seem a but more in that line. Or a shot gun.

I mean, working for the DA, O'Connor probably expedited a carry and conceal permit for Andrea and her people in general for their safety if they chose.

Yes. I can definitely see that happening, but I don't know that Andrea would have gone out and purchased a pistol, just kept whatever her father gave her.

To humor her father, I do imagine her keeping a gun in her apartment. So, she has a shotgun (if night is ok with it) with both shot and bullets available to her in her apartment. I think a shotgun makes more sense. It is something that Dad would have multiple of on the farm and more fitting for protecting your home, due to the closer range, than a rifle.

I think that this will give her a perfect excuse to acquire another gun and I also think that I could use her allies merit to get one fast or even get one on the DL.

Re: OOC Chat: A Quiet talk in a tavern

Ok. I have no points in investigation. With a -3 penalty, is there even a roll for me to make to see if I notice anything at the apartment?

I rolled and should have an extraordinary success based on Investigative Aide since I have three successes. That's my understanding anyway.
