I have an escort mission that I need to do and I can take up to three allies because beyond that there's no bonus lol.
No no-- you just team up with one group, because they may bring Advantages of their own.
Oh I could swear your rules say a +3 teamwork bonus max? Don't you get +1 per ally?

(Goes and looks) ...Yeah, it does seem to say that. So that's what I was thinking at one point, and then at some point after that I changed my mind about how it should best work.
So the question now is do I stick to my original thinking as written, or do I change the rules to go with my new thinking...?
(Thinks) ...I will do it both ways.
If you go solo, I will roll to determine which of your Advantages and/or Disadvantages affect the situation.
If you add more help, I will add THEIR Advantages and/or Disadvantages as randomly appropriate.
AND the roll will get +1 for each of them.
BUT... however the math affects the roll, the math will max out at +3. It may not REACH +3, if other people's Disadvantages start countering things, but the total bonus will never go ABOVE +3.
I will make the rules reflect the above.
