Din & Jaffa:  Any thoughts on Anthi's plan to deal with the Corsairs?

Um... good question. I just don't know.

Jaffa isn't entirely sure yet what that plan is! But she's working it out. And I'll have a response post from her soooooooon.

Might be unable to check back in after this for the next few days though, since I'm finishing up some end-of-semester assignments and then flying back to the UK this week.

I have no plan. I'm feeling very disconnected from the character these days. (You've probably guessed as much, given how quiet I've been.) This whole sequence has me befuddled. I can't think of how he'd do what he's suggesting.

So if anyone has any bright ideas that I can claim as my own, I'd be grateful.

I suppose you could always try getting on top of the candy shop and then dropping down on the guy when he leaves, arms full of candy? You've got that feather thing that makes falling hurt less, right? Or am I misremembering what it does...

That's not a bad idea. A little public, but anything happening at/around the candy shop would also be public.

If I were thinking of this like a Hitman level, I'd probably poison his candy with some rat poison and then tail him to the nearest restroom, but poison doesn't quite feel right for Dinkar yet to me? But yeah, if it's a public locale you either gotta accept the publicness or force a secondary location into the picture!

I'll let The Seer handle this, but my suggestion:

--Captain Smash's ship may well still be in port-- go get the bench back!

Worse alternative:

--an enterprising sailor has already sold it for a few coppers (but forgotten exactly where) and now you'll need to search the shops of the city?


--Something else?


EDIT: When you find Norbert again, I think he should have overheard some super-interesting bit of gossip or something the kids will want to investigate-- although you might have to placate him for forgetting him in order to persuade you to tell him!
