Re: OOC THREAD

Hello, mean girl half elf reporting in :)

I’m very keen to establish links with fellow PCs.

Dinka seems like the sort of (enforcer) boy that Anthielle would like to have around.

And Jaffa would be welcomed for her abilities or even just the price for getting Dinka on board.   Plus it’s nice to have another girl around (that Anthielle doesn’t see as a threat).

Sarah adds some additional muscle to the group… the more the merrier.

Of course Anthielle needs to bring something to the table.  She has an important father, she’s charming, and she has a taste for adventures… pick one :)

Re: OOC THREAD

Greetings "strongest kid around the block" and "mean girl half elf that doesn't see Jaffa as a threat"! Great to meet you. Now with the powers of strength from Sarah, sneakiness courtesy of Dinkar, magic and mean-ness from Anthielle, and heart, nothing can stop us! Not even a sneaky church service that tries to bribe us with juice and cookies! Definitely a trap that we will never, ever fall for.

I suppose that, if Jaffa had to pick one of Anthielle's traits to be brought to the table, she'd be hoping for the charm? Easier to get people on your side that way and it can help in staying out of trouble.

Hello.  Quick check in before going to work.

I'm a scruffy, moody, sullen, tiny, quiet little girl who turns into a spitfire of furious tiny fists when provoked/cornered.

Hah, nice to have another ferocious ankle biter in the team.

Though, I'm noticing Din is gonna be the only boy here, that's gotta be strange for the fella.

That ratio would likely be important to Raga.

BTW, I'm nicer than Raga. :)

Re: OOC THREAD

We could pass Raga off as a boy maybe?  :)

Besides, maybe the WAR has seen kids sent away so that the boy/girl ratio isn't so 'ordinary'.

Re: OOC THREAD

Okay I'm awake and back--

So let's see...

Alphabetically...

--Anthielle: Half-elf basically 12. I'm talking to her privately about her home situation.

--Dinkar: What is your (human-equivalent) age, and home situation?

--Jaffa Redspot: Kobold, basically 10, no parents, no home, sleeps in abandoned buildings or back allies.

--Raga: Age 8. No parents, no home, sleeps in abandoned buildings or back allies.

--Sarah Farwing: 12. Human. No parents anymore but lives at grandparents' home.

----Next question: You are a gang of kids who already know each other... does your gang have a name, or is it only just a "gang" in that it is "a group of kids who always do stuff together?"

----Another thing I want to emphasize is that you start with nothing but the clothes you're wearing. (Anthielle has more clothes at home. Sarah has more clothes at home, but not as many as Anthielle.)

No weapons, no armor, no money, nothing. You want something, you'll have to go find it, steal it, or take it from another kid (who isn't one of you 5, I mean).

----I will also say that I didn't know if I'd get this many people, but I thought I'd limit the maximum number of players (not counting me) to six. (Why six? Because seven would be too many, BUT people so often drop out on RPol due to Real Life Stuff that I thought it'd be good to have more than 4 and maybe more than 5 if I could get 'em.) So FOR ALL I KNOW another kid could join at any time... though I don't have any further prospectives yet. Just a heads-up.

Re: OOC THREAD

IC, Raga wouldn't care about whether the group has a name or what it is.

And . . . would it be any fun to have that whole discussion IC?  If we come to the game having been together, someone could kick off the conversation with something like: "Hey, we've been doing stuff together so much, I think we need a name for our gang/group!"

Re: OOC THREAD

Hello Raga!

On the gender ratio, I think it might be funny if Din barely even registers that it is the way it is.

On the subject of being nicer than the character, that's good to hear, Raga! I do somewhat wish I could say the same for myself, but that's probably not something the Nice Kid should say.

As for gang name... If we want to have one, I kinda like the sound of The Ragamuffins or something like that (and not just because Jaffa would like a muffin very much). But as Raga says, it could be very fun to do it in-character!

(Okay, I am now realizing that "Ragamuffins" would seem to be named after Raga. I feel a little silly for not figuring that out earlier.)

Actually (and the GM can confirm this) that is exactly where her name came from.

That is very fun! Names taken from appropriate words are the best. Honestly, I'd thought "Raga" was pronounced "Raw-guh". Is it more like "Rag-uh", like in Ragamuffin?

Re: OOC THREAD

Heh, I'm down with the gang being called Ragamuffins when we come to it IC. Though I think Sarah would prefer something cooler, not something that makes her sound adorable. I think she would call the gang "The Seasonal Undertakers of My Grandpa's Backyard" or something similar.

Re: OOC THREAD

Let's say ten.

As for his home situation, I envision him as an orphan, but having a place to live. He lives with a senile old woman who has mistaken him for her son. He is remarkably nice to the old crone, doing chores and the like, but will still disappear for days at a time as suits him.

Basically, he's a cat.

I envision it being pronounced like the first two syllables in Ragamuffin.

I don't know how she'd feel having the group called Ragamuffins; I'll/She'll have to think about that if it is seriously considered.

There's a lot of crones in Vierna-- they almost have their own guild-- so this suits me.

Re: OOC THREAD

I’d prefer a gang name with more flair, but would accept the Ragamuffins if most of the group preferred it.  Yay democracy.

I’m not the best at awesome names but here are a few for consideration;

The Misfitted
The Laneway Guardians
The Urchin Alliance.

I like Dinkar’s cat like accomodation, very amusing :)
