Camara is your typical elf beanpole at 6' 2" (1.88m) while weighing 120 lbs. (54.4 kg).

Did anyone else notice that in the book with the art it shows half-orcs as very tall, taller than Elves but yet when you look at the description they aren't that tall?

Not sure if this is a mistake or not. I have been able to find errata about what changed.

Since most people are done with their interludes. I am giving everyone until Tuesday to finish up with them and then we are going to start with the real story.

For those who have completed them and gotten a reply from me feel free to add a +1 benny for adding some background info.

I put one in, figured I'd mention it because you're likely getting like 600 PMs right now and it's easy to lose track of one.

How many goblins?

Just wondering if we might be able to charge the goblins with any reasonable chance of success. Half a dozen of us, in many settings that would be able to route a dozen or more gobbos.

I wouldn't suggest it.

We're effectively a Level 1 party versus a goblin village. They will win with attrition, so we have to be smart. It's why I was looking for a diversion.

It CAN work, if you set up correctly.  Casting two or three spells to fortify the characters who must charge into it, dropping an AoE damage or crowd control type effect, and as Camara points out combining it with a good old diversion would make it viable.  The problem is, if they have any shamans or champions or simply too many numbers... Savage Worlds isn't a system where you ever completely ignore hordes of enemy combatants.

Re: OOC: The Tavern

In 2E AD&D, a DM had an idea for an encounter for a 10th level party, kobolds riding jackals on the plains. Each kobold had 3 javelins, and they used hit and run tactics.

The party was almost wiped out.

Since then, the phrase "jackal riders" sparks terror in certain players.

When I updated them to Pathfinder, I had to create Dire Jackals as normal Jackals are Small, and thus not able for Kobolds to ride, but they are otherwise similar.

Meh. We'll be fine. Besides this is Savage Worlds, much different.

Or Jackdaw will fighting alone in a few moments if you all wish to continue to hide and wait for the right moment. I will not judge you.

I'm just saying that not using your capabilities when you can, like casting Deflection on 2-3 characters first and THEN running into the fray, is less conducive to success.

Re: OOC: The Tavern

Well say THAT then rather than saying let's wait, like in-character, say "Let me cast a spell real quick" or whatever. =D

Edit: I'm willing to edit my post and wait if the group wants to have a prep round.

Re: OOC: The Tavern

Well, being neither the scout nor the spellcaster here, and holding a goblin that could give us away if he's not baby sat... I mean what do you want from me other than patience.

Anyway it doesn't matter, I'm clearly alone in my opinion about how to approach the situation.

Re: OOC: The Tavern

Jackdaw is a barbarian and likes to fight.

But I, as the player, do not want to just piss off the other players be starting every fight before they are ready and willing (within reason). =)

That moment when you buy a bow for your elf because in Pathfinder, you would be proficient with it and be able to use it but in SWADE PF, you didn't get Shooting, so it's pretty much for show.

We started out earlier as a group that all knew one another. Are we still traveling as a group? The post seems to indicate we might arrive at the festival separately.

Thanks

The experimental is not connected to this story. While some elements will play into the story, it is simply a playground of the sorts. It helps for people who might have a faster posting rate, gives them something to do.

But in general right now you might know each other. Most likely the people in town have meet one another. If you went to the festival, you possibly know each other.

It's a rather smallish village of population 1400.

Heh that puts Serafina on the outs... but that actually makes sense.  That makes a ton of sense.  It's okay, Serafina's got her Ice Queen charms.

OOC: The Tavern

Hi guys

Sorry for the delay will post later today just finalising my familiar with the gm.

It wasn't clear in the book as it mentions a dog but also says the familiar can only be size - 2 or - 3 and a dog is - 1 so couldn't have one..... Looking at something different so once it's been agreed I can post with the correct animal in tow :)
